Just don’t own cats in sensitive environments. In Europe, the wildlife is used to our domesticated animals. Similar situation in North America. Wildlife on isolated islands is not.
@@orishaeshu1084the US and Europe both have a massive cat problem. No ecosystem becomes used to an inasive species, they just keep killing until all vulnerable species are extinct. Australia has killed 2 million feral cats since 2015. If only other countries were smart enough to implement the same strategy.
Depends. There's no Kiwis in Auckland city where 1/4+ of the population lives, so it's not like your cats gonna bring home one. The cats that are getting kiwis are strays, so it's wayyy more important to steralize your cat. That's way you legally have to neuter your cats by 6 months old in NZ.

In the most common type, this can still be a problem, but those Little People have average size torsos (the limbs are typically much smaller than average), so I believe the birth canal is average size as well. Stopping stray cats would help making sure they don't go extinct anytime soon. Cats do horrible damage to evosystems (because a good number of humans are irresponsible)

When I was 8 years old, I traveled to New Zealand with my family. We went to a Kiwi exhibit and I got to pet one! One of the best animal petting experiences I’ve ever come across ☺️

This cute kiwi bird, lives in New Zealand, no where else. They are native to NZ. They are VERY endangered. Though, loads of the NZ people are helping in groups to save these kiwi. New Zealand people, call themselves Kiwis, that's how special the are to NZ. (Sometimes we call ourselves New Zealanders, but we dont often.) You should do some research on this country, and bird. @@Ven-7xv the proportions for human to fetus is almost as insane as the kiwi ratio. so yeah, apology…since it’s 9-10 months and labor can be 72hrs+ and can tear the vagina thru the rectum or the clitoris. then there’s postpartum depression and all kinds of side effects during and after pregnancy that can last for the rest of your life.

These little birds are one of the reasons I’m going to travel to New Zealand at one point in my life
I've only seen them in zoos here and a dead one in a creek 45 years ago.
They only come out at night so if you were really unlucky you might see one in your headlights just before you run it over.
Or go to one of the sanctuary where they fool them into thinking it's night time during the day.
Mate nz is the most beautiful place, I call it mother nature's holiday spot. If nature is your thing...I've had waterfalls just appear and hot pools pop up at the end of the street. I lived where they filmed Lord of the rings but I'm aussie I haven't seen the movies😂I have seen 2 kiwi one ran across the road at night and one dead on the road, but Gorgeous. They look like they just got no arms😂but need them. Nz shows respect to all animals, have a look at the Kia, Nz let's this bird do anything it wants they rip cars apart and people clap☺️

I was born in NZ but I've lived in Australia and Canada... never seen Kiwi except for in supposed sanctuaries/zoos... but I've been bitten by snakes 3 times in Aussie haha I was a kid back then so on two occasions it was snakes I picked up or tried to lol I saw and picked up heaps of creatures in Australia from blue tongue lizards, bearded dragons, geckos, snakes and love the parrots there... so much variety. I've been to zoos and reserves to feed kangaroos and pick up koalas. Amazing animals. NZ has some interesting creatures too but they're so much more elusive.

The first time I ever saw a Kiwi up close was when I was young, there were 3, all laying in a row, dead. Large Brown Kiwis. Two dogs sniffed them out in their burrows and killed them. It was some random guy on my grandparents land, who was a friend of a friend staying there with his dogs.
When I was a kid we would hear them chirping at night, almost every night, now we don't hear them at all.

You should never invite that person's again unpredictable to your lifes well being and your surroundings . Those dogs should have been tied up for the visit, very poorly trained.
@@carlynebrunner5587 when I mean "land" I'm talking about hundreds of hectares of native bush, beaches, hills, valleys, and farmland, we had no idea he was even there with his dogs, we didn't even know who he was. I think the point is, this is what's happening around the world, domestic pets as well as introduced pests are killing native animals to extinction, and I saw it firsthand, right in front of me.

They look like rodents that stopped evolving between rodents and birds and didn’t grow any arms or upper limbs. So they stopped evolving and soon to be extinct. Anything that nature doesn’t need becomes extinct. So we need to be careful what we remove from history.
