"something strange, in my fiat panda.....who you gonna call? Seaside Garage!" :-P I like to think that thanks to you and you persistence this panda will have ha 2° life! Good Job Seppo! Now... Carry on! :-D
Amazing, finally you got it, i'm very happy for you :D. The problem you have with vag-com cable it's because windows 10. You need now to unistall all drivers from vag-com cable and turn off all protection from windows security. Then with all off, you need to install the drivers. If you want the right drivers i can send to you if you have the blue cable 409.1 kkl. Then you need to go to device manager and select com 2. I had the same issue of you to put drivers of vag com on the windows 10. The windows thinks that is virus and eliminate some important things when download the drivers.
I tried a lot of things and came to the conlusion that the cable was to poor quality... (I have had many problems with it before...) So I have a better one in the mail... hope it works for the future! :)
Is that 3 functioning cars now? The Cinq, Panda and 105? If so worrying levels of competence being shown on Seaside Garage now lol ! As for the wiring - modernish FIATS are known for it - my Grande Punto of 2008 vintage has a non-functioning HRW which seems to be down to the wiring to the tailgate - its all contained in a rubber sleeve and it seems they are renowned for the wiring becoming brittle and snapping. I was going to fix it but it was barely used in the cold of winter thanks to Covid-19 and now its spring so I am felling a bit...meh so what.
It is! The volvo, cinq, Panda and skoda is driving.... The a112 and metro is not... Better then ever! ;) Yea it seems they are quite brittle.... I was very surprised... its only 22 years old after all... ;) My youngest car actually!
All those issues caused by broken wires?? That's just crazy, not to mention in a tight spot too, but at least you've found it, and can get it all stitched back together again... :D
Very annoying, but it’s not that surprising, considering build quality and age. I had a similar issue on a motorcycle, Yamaha, where the wires cross between body and guidon. 4k kilo men and some cables have the isolation broken by age, exposing the wires and so they started to break. I think it should last more, but when these issues start to appear warranty is gone for a long time, so they don’t care :(
Wow fantastic news you have sorted the Panda excellent work and patience , the wire has done what I had suspected it had when I suggested it to you in the previous message but not were it happened . Cheap copper wire has probably been used as cars are built to a cost and yes you are probably correct in saying that is why the turbo was put on it in the first place . Excellent work Seppo , I would probably have put a hammer through the windscreen by now in pure frustration , wiring is a complete nightmare , you have more patience than me.
Yes it was a good advice Shaun! It was testing me a lot... good thing that not all things are caught on camera.... But no hammer though the windscreen this time... ;)
Well done! Almost impossible to fix that problem when you cant see anything wrong. I bought the connection for the scanner and downloaded the free ecu scan programme from the internet but it didn't really work for me. It might be my fault, I know very little about the software.
Well done for finding the fault, you have good patience
Thanks!
The look on your face says it all 👏🏻😉 congratulations
Thank you! I am over the moon! :)

I was lucky to find it!
Yey! You fixed it! Congrats! :D. So happy about it!
yay!
Hello! i saw your panda turned from the second crank. I have the same problem did you find the solution as it would be of much help to me!
Very happy for you! Now you can enjoy your dream car.
Exactly!
I read it right, it’s over 300k kilometres? That would explain the bad cables
Only 71.000km... So I was surprised...

I share your happiness!

Victory! Now you appreciate running the car more... But it is actually 31 years old, not 21. So that explain the wires 😜
