- multimate designs the mk2 freestanding briquette maker. the best on the market on sale on ebay. any info ring or text john 07885989454 or paul 07803274293 .multimate67@gmail.com
This is brilliant! I have one of those brick makers, and you've solved all the problems with these gadgets. When I squeeze the water out, the bottom screen wants to pop out, but the steel bar you have under it to prevents that. I sit on a short stool with the mold the ground. You've brought it up to a comfortable height. And because you have it mounted on a wall it makes it easier to pull out the brick, as opposed to me using my toes to hold the mold while I pull out the brick. Bravo!!!
Thanks so much, I bought one of those briquette makers - it wasn't easy to use. Your system is just perfect and achievable. Having it on the wall... Brilliant! I can not complement your work enough. Incidentally to make life easier, I use magnets to hold the press of my can crusher in the upright position.
Best brick press design ive seen yet. The hydraulic presses are too slow. The standard press too weak. This is a great idea.
a hydraulic press would easily have a lot more compression though - what you lose in speed you regain in density and strength.
i agree the standard press does suck for sure!
id say this design is a good alternative for those who can't get/use a press.
Hi the press is available from our website www.paperbriquettepress.com
Had one of these presses in the 90's. If I had your set-up then, I'd still have it. Top marks. Was thinking if you just squeezed the paper mash before you place it in the press, you could get rid of some water.
Thank You, just spent the day fabricating one of these and it works great.
I live in Ireland, this is a great idea as job is gone, need to economise and we rely on solid fuel stove for heat. I have contacted John here to see if it's still available as can't see on eBay. Would a local metal worker be able to fabricate one of these if I bought the basic unit for him to work with? Would appreciate you assistance and an idea of expense? Thanks in advance.
@@lisachalfa8494 any local metal worker should be able to fabricate one of these with some square tubing and sheet metal. It's just a constructed lever, the bricks themselves could be pressed into a cylinder mold for round brick discs if desired.
hi.. thanks very much for your comments. and yes we still make the multimate press it is a little different than original one the new version ejects the briquettes from a trap door at the base of the machine which is much quicker. thanks regards john.
superstorm63 wish you sold them in the states!
Genius. You should patent it ,manufacture some for sale ...I could do with one👍
this is for use with the eco paper log maker ,this will make it very easy to use .
there are alot of people bought these cheep brick makers and stuggle on there hands knees making the logs/bricks . this unit will make the job far easier, faster and make better bricquettes
hi. yes we are still making them. we also make a new model which is called the multimate freesander you can use it any were you wish. you dont fix this unit to a wall it stands on four ajustable legs. both on sale on ebay at 110.00 plus postage. thanks for your interest regards john multimate.
Get this one everyone. Fantastic build, portable, faster to use and briquettes dry faster as well. This is the one everyone in the uk should have. No parts from China in this
Much better. I bought the small hand one but this setup is better by far.
Brilliant improvement!
Paul, that looks like an outstanding product. I will have to save up and see if I can purchase one. Thanks for the video!
C'est à mon avis l'une des plus simple et plus performante installation domestique de briquettes.
I really like this. Have you tried using saw dust/paper mixture. If so did it burn better than just the paper brick.
Yes you can use saw dust and fine wood chips as well as crushed charcoal take a look at our video ruclips.net/video/BjqvBPEUUyk/видео.html
Your paper log makers are good and well built so can understand the price but it will take some time to make it cost effective. Unless this is your only source of fuel. The multimafe will save you a lot of time although once you are up and running if you keep making them every week you can have a more a less constant supply especially if you’ve made a lot when it’s warm weather.
Very good video and very informative, Thanks :)
9 years on.
Look up; *Multimate Briquette Maker. Paper Briquette Press* (now with offices in Seekirch, DE and Kent, UK).
Now *that's* a lever! I would have suggested to cut a few slits into the sides to let the water that squeezes out the top to drain better.

Do yer like that! Didn't know Dibnah made briquettes
I gotta weld me up one of those with my powerarc welder. Very handy
Nice piston shaft. Wood love to know how many people are still making bricks, and how easy and many it is to make?
Simple. Effective. Brilliant
Well done mate, will be making one of these for miself too. Cheers.
Hi the press is available from us at www.paperbriquettepress.com
Mr.Paul are these bricks can be made from paper dust ?paper dust is very light and has very thin micron and has no fiber. We have 2 tons of paper dust every month and we do not know what to do about it. we usually throw them away or we burn it on a deserted place.
TheManinblack123123 -You can just use some filter paper or screening over the larger holes to keep it in....
awesome Paul, slick setup. subbed and liked for you BRO!.
Hi Paul, thank you for your lesson and idea :)
Зачетная конструкция!!!
so the paper is soaked in water and then pressed and dried, for how long does it burn. what is the purpose actually?
Brilliant...can I buy the whole system to mount on an external wall here in uk?
Drill small holes in side of frame to allow water to drain when pressed
You are a genius, sir.
I like your setup.
I assume that since you go to all this effort to make paper briquettes that you have good use for them? I imagine they'd burn much like peats would.
Love It get ride of the chain and put a magnet there,
Only thing I can oppose with that idea is maybe instead of replacing the chain, is to just add a magnet to it and keep the chain. So the magnet can hold it between uses but store it with the chain on. Magnets are great and can be hidden quite well but it has to be weak enough to be easy to pull down, but strong enough to hold it up - which leads to risks of having it accidentally swing down. Having the chain there for hold it up when not in use would be the same as having the safety on with a weapon.
How much paper does it take per brick? I'm interested in getting one.
parabéns você reutilizou à água
Вот делать не чего мужику. 10 брикетов за час. За год как раз на неделю топки ))))))
Excellent video but can't find your mk2 freestanding briquette maker on eBay.

Кто знает - зачем по бокам пэобразные перевёрнутые детали, которые болтаются на осях?
I want a bigger one to squash my wheelie bin rubbish down when I miss the bin man.

how many btu's of heat does a burning paper briquette produce
Hi John, how long do you leave the bricks to dry out.
Thank you
hi clare. in good weather about a week.
Nice work. 👍🏻
Make a lever attachment for a foot, so an attire human weight can press on it.
Good I must admit. Sorry to say not as good as the portable one so you can make em in ur shed if raining. Cheaper but rather pay the extra. Good idea though

@superstorm63 are you still making and selling these?
Brilliant.
do they burn for very long?
Hi Paul, please tell us how to buy your different models now (November 2013) being in France or whatever country you could send it to. Thanks
Hi, we live in the US, how much would the postage be. Was just wondering to weigh our options.
It would be cheaper to have a local engineering company to make your a copy from this video!
Hi Paul, i got to get one of these machines, cant see them on ebay, is there a way i can purchase one asap, i'm sick of kneeling down, getting sore palms and the bottom of the damn thing pushing out, you have a spot on machine and want one, many regards Tony

hello mr.. can i have some idea from you.. what kind of ingreadient you put into that paper? i put some cement and water with newspaper and i compress it, the paper did not stand it,. it crack.. this i need to complete my final year project for diploma.. i made my project from your idea sir. can you tell me about it. i really need your help. thank you. :)
hi. the mix is just paper mix in water to a pulp and compressed the design of the machine does the rest. you must have good drainage and leverage or your machine wont work. hope this is of some help to you best regards john.

Where can I get one?
Available from our website www.paperbriquettepress.com
hi, could I buy one of these now ?
дл чего эти брикеты? для топки?
yes
Well, use a magnet instead of that chain!!!
To be honest, this looks a good idea but is NOT. ;) Recycling paper this way will cost more trees to be cut down to make new paper. It takes much more energy to make new paper from trees then from old paper. BUT much worse is the fact that you burn all the ink that is on the paper. This is not so ECO. But if you're looking for a perfect way to evaporate chemicals into the air. This is the way to do it.
makes a perfect horse dung brick maker though!
stefkedebelg ik cpwdunv
so what are the flappy arm things on the side for? you said they are the reason this is possible. looks like they do fuck all
That is correct they do fuck all. well spotted.
I feel some sarcasm coming at me their lol. Do they do fuck all or have I truly missed something?
what this is showing is a standard cross handled cheap briquette maker. with a add on lever system. the flappy arms are what was use before. to compress the pulp. and it was lot harder to operate. thus we designed this system.
ahh got ya, cheers for the reply mate
and what the brick is used for
Burning for heat
so what what the hell do you do with the damn thing
burn the bugger.
Paul, love this system but have been unable to locate on ebay. Is it still offered? If so what is the item number? Or can I order directly from you?
hi victoria. sorry we dont make this model now. we started making a free standing unit which is much better. and there for sale on ebay. regards john. multimate freestander.
I’ve been able to make a far more powerful press than this, but built on the same principle for a mere £30
Hope you don't need more then few.
And after using a number of these paper baubles, you put fire in your chimney because of the glue they contain!
