    That's the first dislike I've ever seen on one of your videos and it is surely from someone that just doesn't like onions because your video is great. And it was probably an American who equals "jam" with sugared fruit paste. 😆
    This recipe reminded me of the first time I had an onion chutney (which I at first turned my nose up to) during my first UK visit. It's not something commonly eaten in the states but (thanks to Aldi) I can occasionally get it and it's SOOO good!! I think I'll try a small batch of this!
    Thanks for another great recipe!!

    • @NarrowboatChef
      @NarrowboatChef  5 лет назад +2

      Haha, you’re welcome! The Aldi one is pretty good, we’ve tried it before! 😁

    •  5 лет назад +1

      Btw, our regular cheeses sold in the states (and therefore cheese sandwiches) are VERY different from what they sell in the UK as well, so this type is recipe would not be the same on a cheese sandwich unless something like an "English cheddar" is used.

    • @nelrondeau7572
      @nelrondeau7572 3 года назад

      Ouch that stings! As an American I'm saying this recipe sounds wonderful. I love any onion 'jam' or chutney, but my hubby stays out of the house when I am cooking with onions.

    Hi guys, just want to tell you a story about how brilliant Valiant are. After you gave us the discount code fir Valiant l ordered an electronic lighter, after sometime l contacted Valiant cos l hadn't received it, they did inform me that Royal Mail had it down as delivered, which it clearly wasnt. I did not expect them to send a replcement but they said they would, such a gracious thing to do. I did suggest they send it signed fir this time, which they did. Come Sept 5 l still hadn't received it, so l contacted them again, they checked and said the tracking number says Royal Mail tried to deliver, really, l dont think so. No card was put in my letterbox saying they had tried to deliver, maybe Royal Mail expects customers to be psychic. I went to the local Royal Mail delivery station, it was there, this is 5 days after they supposedly attemted delivery. So Royal Mail, you are a total failure, Valiant you are amazing and l thank them for their brilliant customer service. Anyway guys, keep up the grest vlogs, gonna try the the onion jam, but without the chilli 😝

    Question how can you eat that ???.
    The so called cheese. . Having been around (both Royal and merchant Navy) I have eaten quite a number of shall we say " different" foods. Camonfart is without a dout the most disgusting. I would rather eat deep fried cockroaches than that ( very crunchy) .
    Well today's recipe is different. I have never heard of it . But it looks simple and easy so I will try as soon as I am back at the sink. Thanks.
