I am head of a tiny catholic family with 2 kids and practically no relatives and I have no catholic friends or friends at all for that matter. People in my church are old and many are foreigners who can't even speak Dutch. I can cultivate my knowledge and faith all I want, but I feel lonely in this God-forsaking country of the netherlands. God is not forsaking us, but everyone has forsaken God. I pray a lot.
This series is incredible. I became a Catholic nearly 40 years ago. Most of what I know about Catholicism, however, I only recently learned over the past several months (thanks to channels like this). How I wish I had known it all sooner! I can clearly see now how much liberalism permeated my own life and thoughts (and led me into error) despite thinking of myself as “Conservative.” Better late than never, but far better early than late!!
16 straight years of Catholic school 1st grade thru college 1968 -1984. I was never taught anything close to this. Traditional Mass was completely ignored, along with the great Popes before Vatican II, Thomas Aquinas, everything. We were indoctrinated just like with what is occurring in secular schools now. Honestly I had issues and questions about this for years, never knew where to go. I’m like you absorbing this as fast as possible. 59 now and I’ve discovered my true faith. It’s a very unusual feeling.
It really is ! I tire of the other options due to repetitive topics that don’t really enlighten my knowledge of the history. I am so appreciative of these priests speaking on these topics !
Thank you, gentlemen, for this good work. I learnt a lot from this for my three-years old Catholic faith. We will continue to listen and watch here. Praise God for our SSPX. May God bless you, Mrs Darley, Chapel of Saint Pius X, SSPX Manchester, Great Britain.
At the local hairdressers, I get the chance to listen to the young women who work there. They are such lovable young women but what they tell me horrifies me. Yesterday, a lovely nineteen year old lady told me that pets are better than children and that her grandmother won't let her have any children because she wants her to "Get an education first". That happened to me, too and my parents have no grandchildren. I was raised atheist but, praise God, I am a member of the great SSPX.
I've watched a number of SSPX podcasts, and while all these priests have their individual personalities, I am struck by a certain common denominator: their calm confidence in speaking God's truth. It is how I imagine it might have been like listening to Jesus in His own time.
Massive thanks for this series! My husband and I greatly appreciated all your good efforts. This has been our source of consolation and anchor in this time of crisis🙏❤️ Massive thanks to Fr. Reuter for his wonderful 3-part series👍We have learnt a lot from this podcast. May God bless your great apostolate🙏❤️All for the greater glory of God! Greetings from🇨🇭
God bless you Father Reuter. Thank you for helping to understand how we arrived to the point of getting french revolution Manifesto like document from Vatican mistakenly called "Encyclical".
I would love a Catholic community that cared for each other . Recently I had a housing crisis and my Novus Ordo parish of 10 years is not a caring community . I stopped going there as something is so wrong at how they treat a family - it’s ok - we have options in our area and it’s sad they want to do the modern stuff- it’s not reverent !
What historical time periods can we look to, as models to follow, where Christ was acknowledged to be King and there was no separation between Church and state?
Cześć, I am not sure if this will help you, but there is Fr. Michał Woźnicki. I don´t know much about him and don´t understand polish that much to judge as well, but he seems to be following Christ and fight heresies in Poland. Pozdrawiam ze Slovenska. Also vkpatriarhat.org/pl/?p=18408 even with many other articles axplain a lot.
Hello Fr Reuter!! Good to hear you. Calg6is lucky to have you. Sent copy of podcast to David and Rebecca in Japan. Please keep them in your prayers. They're not able to go into Tokyo for Mass. Very hard for them!! Pax
In Vatican II nothing is a sin anymore. Everyone goes to Heaven. Except traditional Catholics and anyone who resists modernism. The complete opposite of reality.
If Luther cancelled church authority and natural law as a result of his scrupulosity etc. and, importantly, did so as such an arching social influencer, which is to say that he became the father of liberalism, then could this be somewhat akin to the fallen angel who tried to cancel Gods authority and divine law as a result of his pride and then introduced this to Eve and through her to Adam?
All the -isms are worldly ideologies. Man’s ways not God’s ways. There’s a scripture passage I think from 1 or 2 Timothy or maybe 1 or 2 Peter that prophesies about how men will not heed the truth but will instead look for false teachers who will fill their itching ears. That’s what we’re seeing. All the -isms give people a philosophical paradigm that gives them meaning and makes the world make sense while also not making any moral demands on them to give up their favorite vices. So, it’s pretty straightforward that they’re all shades of antichrist religions.
There is a picture in the background for Fr Reuter that looks like Luther - Looks like the image that is in the Angelus Press. Just kind of weird to see it
That is a painting of St. Thomas More. He was Chancellor of England. He did not support the the creation of the Church of England, King Henry VIII divorces, etc. And was executed.
You’re preaching to the choir! Why not go out amongst the people and speak these words. Be warriors! I know you’re scared! Well we are all scared! Praying for holy priests!
Naturalism goes back to the philosophies of Epicurus 270 BC, a materialist, and Democritus, 370 BC, the founder of the so-called atomic theory, also a materialist. It has mingled with Western Civilization since then.
For every dislike or every negative comment, please offer one Hail Mary for that person's soul. If you are an MI offer a Mary Immaculate Ejaculation. One charity can make a change in a person's life. Let us save souls as much as possible. Love God above all things, and love your neighbor as you love yourself.
It's not that we're being squeamish - though we can understand how it seems that way - we're trying to be very specific with the language, since as you say, words indeed have meaning.
Honestly, “left” “right” “center” are all rather arbitrary political words. Sure, they serve a certain colloquial usage, but they are horridly imprecise and change constantly to mean different things. The trick is to learn that at least as for American politics, what qualifies as “left wing” and “right wing” are actually just two different brands of liberal.
Priests really should avoid philosophy unless they have some training as this talk was replete with strawmen arguments about liberalism. I am very glad that catholic morality has evolved, Paul told slaves to obey their masters, presumably the church today would condemn slavery not suggest to slaves that they accept their lot, It is also incredibly arrogant to claim that people weren't truly human until the advent of Christianity, which this priests does at the end.
He gave us the Mass during the shutdown-a group he never knew before. Just agreed and went to great sacrifice to help us practice our faith. My hero!

You guys started this when u sided with William of Orange. Orange man bad
All the people in the church are your family. Can you feel it, being one in Jesus Christ?.
Spot on!!
Trust me at 70 this was a breath of fresh air coming into my lungs. ✝️
This should be seen by all Catholics everywhere!!

Thank you for this series. So critical in this age to understand how we arrived at this point.
Best series on the internet.

Fantastic talk, I feel so liberated from the crazy confusion of the modern world when I hear this. Praise God for the SSPX.

You are so welcome!
Everything comes at the appropriate time. Thank you for this series!
This is great. Thank you for this series.
Awesome!!!
Excelente, muchísimas gracias. Saludos desde Argentina
Leo XIII wrote elegantly on the superiority of the Christian state, all Christians should read and adhere to his encyclicals
Thank you very much. Please continue. Please spread this.
God bless you Father Reuter. Thank you for helping to understand how we arrived to the point of getting french revolution Manifesto like document from Vatican mistakenly called "Encyclical".
What could be learned or build from the Amish approach? Is it possible to think about Catholic cities?

I love it. Jury is out
Great Series. !
I've been going to FSSP for some time. Might finally just go to SSPX.
Do it!

Vatican 2 council, uncrowned Our Lord in all Catholic state.
Excellent 🛐🙏
What is the intro music for this podcast? I like it!
Dziękuję bardzo! I wish there could be such a great, clean and structured explanation of the errors of modern world in Polish language. God bless!

24:00 amazing point, very interesting series, thank you.
Very instructive.

At minute 50. Absolutely The Abolition of Man in the words of CS Lewis.
Wow!
These priests are well formed!!
Brilliant! Really highlights the falseness of Protestantism which one senses on an intuitive level is wrong in many ways.

Of course. Luther himself said he heard the devil on his later years...
Luther is called a heresiarch, an arch-heretic, for a reason. He blew 95 holes in the dam
It seems to me one ism keeps morphing from one to the another. What is then the driving force of this phenomenon?
All the -isms are worldly ideologies. Man’s ways not God’s ways. There’s a scripture passage I think from 1 or 2 Timothy or maybe 1 or 2 Peter that prophesies about how men will not heed the truth but will instead look for false teachers who will fill their itching ears.

Separation f church and State is not in the USConstitution. It’s from a letter of Thomas Jefferson

I don’t agree . So many of us have been suffering for years that Jesus the Christ has not been treated as King.
Don’t be so squeamish about the word liberal. It means what it means: left of center. Words have meaning

@@SSPX It’s time for boldness. Be a Maccabee
....Except that's not what it means at all
