Superbly done for the astronomical rate of the tempo. It always amazes me how many musicians play this very somber, meditative, introspective musical poetry at break-neck speed. Do they not realize the subject is DEATH? Show some respect to the weighty topic Bach was addressing!
I agree with Enrique. It's rare to hear this played at an appropriately slow pace. The title itself [All men are mortal'] tells us that this is a meditation on death
