Hawaiian Airlines celebrates 94 years of legacies with Hawaii's first aircraft and youngest aviator

- The Bellanca began flying Hawaiʻi skies on Oct. 6, 1929, offering sightseeing tours of Oʻahu to trial passenger flying at a time when interisland travel was done by steamship. Thanks to multiple major restorations, our beloved Bellanca CH-300 Pacemaker continues to fly today and remains the crown jewel of Hawaiian’s fleet.
In Dec. 1929, 11-month old Ben Lee became Hawaii's youngest airline passenger as we introduced interisland air service to the Islands. Recently, we were able to reconnect with Lee and welcome him and his grandson aboard the same Bellanca CH-300 he was photographed with almost 94 years ago. ✈️ Read more: newsroom.hawaiianairlines.com....
