Great energy. Coming from a surface laptop 3, i noticed the screen on the zenbook duo is slightly shorter ~ 3cm. I also miss the 4k resolution, although if i set the zoom level to 110% its not too bad.
The colors of the screen for some reason were dull compared to the surface, but increasing the saturation to 80 in intel graphics command center helped a lot.
After about a month of use, im starting to use the second screen more, mainly for studing atm. The plastic around the keyboard makes it feel less premium than the full metal body of the surface, which really did bother me quite a bit initially, but im used to it now.
Like you, I find using a mouse necessary, i barely use the trackpad. With the keyboard i really do appreciate the fn+escape lock, this makes using the dual function keys much easier! This always annoyed me about the surface, accidently tapping the function key switches the function and you never know.

Great review Peter especially the power bit as that's crucial for me I saw the 15" power block and it's horrendously big so I'm going to 9rder one of these but the 32g 1tb version in UK here is 1600£ which isn't cheap bit I had a surface before that I personally didn't find that good and I'm a trader so 2 screens very useful

    Thanks for the awesome review.
As for the stylus pen - from what I've seen on Amazon for this laptop, the i7 version comes with the Laptop Sleeve, Laptop Stand, & Stylus pen. The i5 version doesn't come with all those goodies - I assume to help keep the cost down. The Amazon listing has a "What's in the box" section that lists all that and I noticed the difference when comparing the versions.

You know, in the statement, "they should just move the screen up 2 inches," Why not just get the larger version of the laptop? 14 inches is the sweet spot in laptops because they're still very portable. Eventually, they might use a curved screen like in smartphones, but with the current gap, my hands can fit more comfortably. I use the touchscreen on this laptop more than one without the screens, Perhaps because of the awkward keyboard and mouse placement. Everyone seems to complain about the keyboard placement, but most bluetooth keyboards don't have the palm rest either, so I find no issues using it. Just my two cents. Anyways, this was a thoughtful and entertaining video. Keep up the good work.

Obviously the bigger screen, they have provided a wrist rest now (Trackpad not centralised tho) and there is a number pad on the trackpad at the press of a button. I'm still getting used to my new laptop so any tutorials you could suggest I would very much appreciate.

This is a really lovely laptop. I love the I/O. I'll probably pursue it when I can get the 32GB version later on. Meanwhile, I liked your review, though I think that the main reason I wouldn't want the Pro version would be the need for the SD slot. I would also want to upgrade the SSD to 2 or 4TB after market, as all the software is available after the fact. I wouldn't change the track pad except for removing the physical buttons and removing the dead zone of the pad.

Only thing preventing me from buying this is the 1080p screen. Being used to 4k screen on my current Lenovo Yoga 920, which is also 14 inches, going down to 1080p is just a no-go. QHD i might consider (2560 x 1440).

almost got this, went to asus store (they were showing 1 in stock) and by time i got there it was gone :(
so instead of got one of the new TUF F15 with the 3050Ti. The Duo would have been nice with the two screens and stylus and i didnt really need much of a dedicated graphics (only really play Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm, etc.). Now with the 3050Ti, i guess i will expand out and try some single player games i have always wanted to play like Horizon Zero Dawn.
Was wanting Duo for the dual screen for light photo editing, but maybe I just get a Wacom pen tablet with this TUF laptop.

so far 2 weeks of use, i must admit I'll never looked back on traditional laptops anymore. the screenpad+ is a pure productivity booster. may i ask the F15 any good?because i see it as entry level TUF device.. saw many owners sell it here..

    1) there is a quiet buzz whenever the track pad is used. Very quiet, but enough to be irritating, and certainly odd. Never had this on a laptop before.
    2) the screen doesn't quite fit to the bottom besel flush. So there is a gap between the screen and the bott bezel. 3) actually has the green AERO backdrop when I loaded it.

I bought a £700 chromebook, it was dreadful, sent it back and got one of these.
I have had this laptop for a week now.
I am over the moon with it, it is just brilliant. Can get so much more done with 2 screens and the sound quality is amazing, different gravy to the tinny sound of the chromebook with no bass.

I have owned this laptop in the past. It was good enough that I just bought it again because I miss the 2nd screen. But let’s be honest, the speakers were trash! At least coming from a MacBook Pro it is trash. I’ve actually owned several PCs and have never heard a good set of speakers.

#asus #asusbr #asusbrasil #asuszenbook #asuszenbookduo
