    I have it now for nearly a year and absolutely LOVE it! I live in a Motorhome : espresso, hoover, kettle! Hairdryer…. Everything! And It last for so long and it gets charged so fast! I will get another one for my boat! You need minimum 400w of solar panels to be satisfied ! Go for it! Much cheaper than other famous brand ! Fabulous piece of kit!

    Oh this looks interesting. We recently drained our leisure batteries while away!! But they do need replaced! But we spoke about a powerbank so may look at different ones. Thanks for sharing 👍

    We have the same model and I find it excellent. I use it to power the van via the external power inlet. Hasn't let us down yet and as you say hairdryers, coffee machine and microwave are all no problem.

    Can I ask a question? Please don't take this the wrong way as I am seriously interested.. why are so many RUclipsrs so power hungry ? We have been living full time for 4 years last month and have 350w of solar on the roof , a REDARC B2B charger and a 120AH lithium battery. We find this set up more than adequate for us. We have Eberspacher deisel heating and a refillable gasit bottle that is only for hob and water heater. We don't have coffee maker or air fryer. Like I said I'd be really interested to know... ps really enjoy your videos and have been following since Greece.

    • @redsgotravels
      @redsgotravels  4 месяца назад +9

      Great question and Thankyou !
      As RUclipsrs we charge multiple batteries , pc, drone, iPad , phones , powerbanks and cameras .. , and a recent onboard 12 volt water filter system , we also run starlink which gives WiFi on the move as some remote locations have no signal , so this all consumes a lot of power , the laptop is probably the most power hungry in our arsenal of tech 🙂
      We have 200 ah of lithium and 400 watts of solar , we have removed the cooker and use air fryers , electric saucepans and love a coffee machine, hair straighteners and hairdryer our gas usage has reduced massively since we ditched the oven and use the powerbanks to cook on .
      The powerbanks have standalone solar panels so the sun can be chased , instead of just flat panels on the roof , we can also work outside as we take our power with us …
      Probably a longer explanation than necessary, but hope it helps in understanding our little world of tech and gadgets 🙂
      At the moment we are in an overcast Spain , no solar , not driving to recharge the batteries , so a little extra is of course a bonus 🙂❤️

    Hi 😊 im probably going to sound silly as i no nothing about electrics but i have to live in my car for a while , can i please ask if there is one of them alternator quick chargers for this ? As i havent got anyone i can charge it from a wall so i need to charge it on the go. I dont really wanna rely on solar . Thankyou

    • @redsgotravels
      @redsgotravels  20 дней назад

      Hi buddy , hope you are keeping safe and warm 🙂 there are a few chargers on the market and the BLUETTI 1 will charge the aferiy as it does it via the solar input port , it requires fitting etc and is a few hundred pounds , but it does charge very quickly , but you’ll need to check if your powerbank has a quick charge capability ( our aferiy isn’t ) although it’ll still charge it.. the alternative which charges from the 12 volt cigarette lighter socket as you drive , and a lot cheaper .. here’s the link and all the best 👌 amzn.eu/d/7CHajBF

    This is a bit of an oversight on their part.
    Everything has an app these days.
    I have a Bluetti and use the app 90% of the time.

    I must admit I am quite cynical about this review after your previous extremely positive reviews about the other brand. You appear to have completely disregarded the question of VFM in your review as the costs of this device are significant. I also don’t remember you criticising the other brand for its failure to power your hair dryer which you have now done in this review. I purchased the other brand before partly informed by your review and am disappointed that you appear to have moved to doing all reviews that come your way for the money rather than being driven by your VFM motif which is theme of your channel

    • @redsgotravels
      @redsgotravels  3 месяца назад

      I actually think you are being very unfair. Technology moves on, things change, companies bring out new products. I imagine whatever you bought has already been superceded by that companies latest products.
      The words I used regarding my hairdryer have been misunderstood, I said the hairdryer will trip quite a few of our powerbanks, I did not state a brand or particular powerbank, but the hairdryer is powerful so as you can imagine a lower power bank wont do it and that is what i was talking about.
      Im sorry you feel disappointed we are reviewing any product that comes our way, that is simply just NOT the case, We are asked to review at least 3 things EVERY single day, We choose 4-5 products a month. We continue our close relationship with 'the other brand' and we are still very happy with them.
      What you don't see is the videos we don't release because the product is just not good enough and we never work with the brand again.
      I'm sorry you feel cynical, the truth is that things improve, and something you thought was amazing 6 months ago, can be improved on.
      These companies are all in a constant race to improve against each other, sometimes new innovation such as high power/reduced size, starts off expensive and as more companies start producing similar prices reduce.
      I used to believe VHS was incredible...
      things constantly improve, and i'm sure you are happy with your purchase and THAT is all that matters

      @@redsgotravels thanks for taking time to reply. You have ignored my main criticism however which is you are not taking cost into account, your channel focus on VFM (spending less than £3k in 3 months for example) I think this should be an element in your reviews as this power station is clearly very expensive compared to rival products. Also as an aside not sure I can see what about the technology has moved on in this product compared to the powerbank I bought early in 2024??? Anyway thanks for taking the time to reply it is appreciated and enjoy the remainder of your time in Portugal

    • @redsgotravels

      The cost of this particular unit is totally in line with the 'other' companies 2500w product? I'm not sure what you mean about price.
      Yes, of course £900+ is A LOT of money, but you get what you pay for. Don't like the price, but like the product? come back in 6 months and it will be cheaper again, as new products are launched old ones are heavily discounted.
      A lot of our powerbank reviews seem to get most views when the banks are discounted later in their lifespans.
      It had always been that each 1000w would = £1000
      However technology is moving so fast at the moment that no longer holds true.
      We aren't in the habit of just 'taking' things from brands without there being a good reason. I didn't ignore your criticism though, I mentioned the two reasons/differences we were so impressed with this unit in the video several times.
      The difference/reason being the weight and physical size, as you will agree a huge consideration when travelling in a van.
      It is half the size of our 'other' 2500w bank, don't you think that is a great leap forward in technology, fitting all that power into a smaller lighter package?
      This is the way things are going, these powerbanks are getting smaller and lighter with every new model, I have a brand new model from the 'other' company sitting next to me right now, its very good, but that doesn't mean everything we have previously reviewed is now suddenly 'bad' because we like a new product.
      As I said, we get offered power banks very frequently, a lot from names you will never have heard, we only ever show products that we actually believe in and like, from reputable companies. We don't try to deceive, and we totally stand by our word on everything, if we say its good... then its good.
      Thank you so much for watching and leaving us your thoughts

    So this is £1000 and weight 22kgs. That is a lot of money and a lot of weight. A 1280 LiFePO4 Battery will cost around £200 and is around 9kgs. People are getting obsessed with these overpriced powerstations.

      so tell me Kevin how do you run mains appliances in your van i suspect inverter? at best 80% conversion that will kill your battery, probably fit extra solar panels, but what if there’s no sun? it goes on power bank is the best option for long term off grid, and it won’t impinge on your vehicle’s warranty.

    • @KevinFoulds
      @KevinFoulds 3 месяца назад

      I have been off grid for 4 days just using 2 small ecoflow powerbank. They are £200 each. When they fail the price is not too bad. I also have a 1280 po4 battery. That is more than enough to run my mains things. Gas does the rest. Take a look at trust pilot for the issues with these expensive things. Your choice to buy.
