I can't think of too many street fights that are to the death. It can and does happen, and in that case, then yeah, go ahead bite or eye gouge or whatever, but it's unlikely. If you're in a losing proposition to the point you have to go full dirty tactics, and you escalate what would have been a normal ass whooping into something further... then you better hope to god your hailmary nut grab/eye poke ends the fight, and the guy doesn't go into a bigger rage where he does the same to you, except he's probably bigger and on top of you. I saw a fight where a wannabe tough guy shot in for a takedown, he got stuffed by a guy who actually knew how to grapple, the guy who's takedown got stuffed then proceeded to try to grab the grapplers balls through his jeans since he probably panicked being on the bottom for the first time, and I'll never forget the horrible snap of the "tough" guys arm/shoulder when the grappler got angry and kept cranking on the kimura despite the flailing and screams from Mr. "Use anything and everything." If you want to beat a bigger guy in a fight, be a better fighter or use a weapon. I can assure you even a low-level pro lightweight MMA fighter will wipe the floor with a 200lb average man.

Fighting a bigger guy makes you tired much faster even if you have better stamina, it is simple physics. What you want to do if you want to beat a bigger guy is to knock him out quickly or make him quit hurting him badly at the start. Also, you need to make sure you don't show that you are tired, you need to use you willpower to scare your opponent into submission (quitting).
@ScottHendrix-yz3du bigger guys can do the same things to you as well, and they will hit you way harder. There is a reason for weight classes in all martial sports, wrestling and weightlifting. Even 2 pound weight difference can. make significant difference. While correlation between the size of a man and his endurance can vary, definitely you can't discard physics that tells you that when two objects clash, the one with smaller mass gets impacted more. Meaning the smaller guy does considerably more work during the fight. I have been in martial arts competitions when they had an absolute weight class, where anybody can compete in the same division regardless their weight. As a rule, the smaller athlete won during the first one or two minutes, the longer the bout went, the more chances there were that the bigger guy wins.

I would say that as a boxer you probably didn't know but you take out his legs first by leg kicking and then you go on from there.. By the time you have one leg out (3-4 well placed kicks) he has lost a lot of power, movement and height as well ^^ .. Liver shots (punches or kicks) are a good tactic, too!
I’ve did taekwondo for 6.5 years, and from my experience in street fights(which in all fairness isn’t that much) kicks just aren’t particularly effective in 20-30 second fights
@@turtleandsandwiches4604 you must have missed the real fights ^^ .. cause if it's a real fight you fighting longer than that.. Nevertheless I have made the same experience since most fights were in a drunk state of my mind and my balance was too bad for appropriate kicking.. Once I landed one clean body kick that has put my opponent down like a tree.. But if you're sober and no heavyweight it would make sense to use kicks for sure.. Not hating Taekwondo but it's not really good to use in real fights... I did it for a year and some friends are black belts fighting half of their life on tournaments and we all made the same experience (btw I'm small so leg kicks for sure cause when you are fighting a larger opponent you can barely hit his face without exposing yourself)
@@johnyd90 Fair point. And what exactly do you do if your bigger opponent DOES know how to fight and not only blocks you (easier for him since he's bigger) but responds with kicks of his own (harder for you to block without getting hurt simply because he's heavier and thus stronger)? Never make a move you yourself cannot counter/block/dodge...
In a lot of sports shin guards are worn for protection. In certain situations a boot or hefty grazing of the shins to an opponent is a potentially good way of getting out of a dangerous situation. A good boot to the opponents goalies is a more safer course to take though
Yes, first of it's better to avoid fighting someone who is not your weight category, always try to avoid first, if that is not possible, the only way is to kite them, yes kite in like games, don't be offensive be defensive, be patient, he is going to come strong at the start so be ready to step back, step back and straight punch or low kick, don't try to ko him try to stun him, try to make him get tired. Learn how to punch while stepping back.
most big guys will charge you a well timed low kick on a charging opponent is absolutley devastating it can also be landed while you sidesteping the charge, a bread and butter kata.
I am that bigger heavy person and my biggest fear is fighting someone faster then me because u only fight to protect my lil bro and myself and i ain't That good because i could throw a good punch but it's a slow since people dodge it alot so now i am on this channel to be a better fighter
Thank you very much Tony! The lessons reminding and explaining so much impressiv!! Sad to say: Specialy in the times of nowadays and when you cant run because of prothese.. Its great to hear the original english!!
I think one thing that can sometimes work in a smaller bloke's favour is overconfidence on the bigger guy's part, combined with healthy fear on the smaller bloke's side. I'm smaller and had to fight bigger men sometimes in the past, and you could see that they thought it was going to be a piece of piss to bully the smaller bloke and rely on their size and not put a lot of effort into it, whereas fighting someone a lot bigger than you you have to give it your all, and end up winning.
2:56 OMG lmao. There goes the beer out my nose hahaha. Thank you Tony for the blind-siding humor, that was hilarious. I'm relatively short (5' 7") and by no means an expert of any kind. But in this circumstance, what's helped me is being quick on my feet while guarding accordingly. And fighting bigger men at angles and not square (like 45% for ex:). What is your perspective on using angles? An answer or perhaps a part 2 to this video would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
In Kenpo, we learned to step at 45 degree angles (either forward or backward depending) so as to keep our center power line facing them while causing their center line to be away. In other words, if I was facing your dummy, I would move forward with my right foot (I'm a south paw) at 45 degrees with my left foot stepping back so my power line in a fighting stance is facing him while he is still facing forward making him have to adjust in order to continue his attack. I definitely agree with your concept of moving in, then away though. Also, what you said about doing what is necessary in a life and death situation is spot on.
Nice video. I am 2.03m but quite lean. I felt overpowered by a bigger and heavier 1.95m guy at mma class. If that weight falls on you, or if he hits you, be prepared for some impact. However i would like to ask tony, is there already or can you do a video of the opposite? What do you do against a smart athletic alert smaller guy if you are challenged to a street fight that you dont want. Even in mma class the more experienced 1.70m younger guys were giving eachother tips how to get to me, while i really was much less experienced than them. So what is your take on how to fight smaller or small capable guys smart and quick, to end the street fight as quick as possible?
Hope Tony does a video as it would be Interesting to watch. I’m not an expert and not as tall as you. Have some experience fighting smaller opponents. One of my teachers was smaller and faster. Got a lot of practice in as he would run circles around me literally while throwing kicks and punches from a distance, and he hit hard for a guy who weighed under 100kg. If you have to fight don’t waste your energy is probably the best thing. Make each shot count whether it’s a punch, kick or a hold. Find a guard, dodge or counter that works for you against smaller opponents, personally I dodge as opposed to blocking since I like to keep an eye on a faster opponent. It sometimes means I have had to eat a few hits but can’t win ‘em all. Learn simple setup moves or fakes or how to trap opponents, eg fake left than hit with the right either punch or kick or mix it up as a simple example. Don’t be obvious. Smaller fighters are usually faster so gotta catch them somehow without losing too much energy - a funny way to think about it is to get them to walk into your punch or kick. Long term suggest working on stamina or learning how to manage it better eg something as simple as breathing makes a big difference when you don’t have as much in the tank as a smaller more athletic opponent. Gotta put in the hard work. Practice everything, get some quality sparring under your belt against all types of opponents. When in a fight you usually do what you practice. Watch smaller fighters in boxing and Muay Thai official fights and think about how to counter them. This is the do your homework part. Stay relaxed and whatever you do don’t get worked up. Part of fighting is a mind game.
Great tips here. I would just say it would definitely benefit you to learn a little wrestling or jiu jit su in those ground situations. I am definitely of the same mind that you need to keep the fight standing at all costs, but it’s important that you train for worse case scenario as well. Jury’s still out on the efficacy of butthole poking ☺️
Different fighting styles may have different approaches to this. I like the Brazilian Jiujitsu approach of clinching up a larger stronger attacker. The clinch reduces the striking power of your attacker. This approach can then be followed up with your grappling skills. Or you can maintain the clinch to keep your attacker under control until someone breaks up the attack. I'd also recommend that people learn and practice the Crazy Monkey defense. Along with practicing moving your head off center when throwing punches. These two things can reduce your chances of getting knocked out in a fight. If you kick keep them at thigh level to prevent your leg from getting caught.
Boxing is a great skill set but you still need wrestling and bjj (grappling) you're not always going too be able too use just dirty moves to escape mount
#1 form of self-defense, be a nice person and keep your ego in check. #2 form of self-defense, be fast, keep up on your sprints in training. #3 form of self-defense, train. Being a smaller dude, 5'6", 160, training jiu jitsu Muay Thai and MMA for a few years now has definitely helped in so many ways. The obvious technical benefits, but also the ego humbling from getting smashed in rolling, popped in sparring, having technique work against opponents, and thier techniques work against me, staying calm, controlling my breathing and thinking while under physical duress, the community that you become a part of, ( most people who train are really cool ) leaving training sessions completely exhausted, physically and mentally, which makes me much harder to rile up for silly reasons, and the self confidence that you gain, which makes you carry yourself differently so you are a less appealing target for those who are looking for easy ones. Try to be the Warrior in the garden, not the gardener at war, but also avoid street fights if at ALL possible... Love your stuff Tony, thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences.
I'm currently watching this video to help my 6 year old son fight against much bigger opponents in the championship. I'll come back to say if it worked💪
things to remember when grappling on the ground. Whatever is illegal in MMA, is really effective on the ground. Eye gauging, biting, breaking fingers. Easy things to do, and not allowed. So many submission moves become almost impossible to do against someone who starts bending back fingers/thumbs.
Tony, As a bigger fat guy who watches your videos and learned a thing or two bc of it, this info is def good to know 👀 Nah jk (kind of) I don't go looking for trouble but if trouble comes to me, I'm prepared. 🥊

Good video. Just because someone is big and fat doesn't me and they don't have fast hands. They may not move well in general but I would run into these types I've guys years ago. Lots of them were great athletes at one time but just go older and out of shape. But they could still throw hands.
Agree with the tips if you’re fighting a guy who doesn’t know how to fight. I generally believe in making them puff out first. If the guy does striking/ grappling those techniques won’t work and they probably will know how to fight dirty. Tell tale signs are scars on their face or hands. Best yet just don’t fight and walk away. Not worth losing your life or work over pride.
if using good movement id suggest stamping your foot down on the side of their knee and buckling their leg, not only will it hurt and possibly fuck their knees up but will stop their movement in that moment as you land as you're buckling their knee and putting them off balance, from there you could also possibly take their back or use their own momentum to pull them to the ground
I should probably save this, I've been watching your boxing beginner tutorials over the past year (using different youtube accounts), and it has helped me alot in my training! Hope you'll get to 2 MIL subs sooner or later!
I learned size doesn't mean anything in 11th grade. Little 5'6 155lb dude knocked out cold some big 6'2 220lb bully at school. I didn't know it then but the little guy clearly had training . Size only matters if bother guys are skilled and trained.
Size matters when skill are usually close. Naturally a trained small guy will beat a big guy if the big guy is untrained. Heck a trained women can beat a untrained guy. On the flip side Its hard to beat big guys who hand speed is just as fast and hit way harder than you and can move their head.

@@johnyd90Maybe mule kicks or bellow the waist kicks.
Anything above begs to have your leg grabbed and good luck after that.
That's why I was referring to kicking the leg out in my first comment @@el_killorcure
Oh cool, the secret to taking down Butterbean! This is better than the Krabby Patty formula, definitely a treat to see just before 2 million subs! 😆🥰🥰
May not work on Butterbean. Dude can eat a mule kick and keep comin at ya.
You can try to shove your finger up his arse and grab his balls😂😂😂
Aha and how many butterbeans are out there?
Fast low kicks and oblique kicks to the knees are the better thing.
It might just make butter bean even madder.
Speed, Timing, Precision. ❤
Love you Tony man appreciate it
I tried this..commenting this from hospital..run away guys this is the best defence from big guy
Thank you Coach Jeffries, I can't wait to try this! 😝
You're so welcome!
Thanks tony needed this
Happy to help mate
That’s some great advice Tony. I recommend straight punches and side steps with kicks to the knee. Thanks Tony. ✝️🇺🇸🥊 Coach Mando from the Alamo City.
In a lot of sports shin guards are worn for protection.
In certain situations a boot or hefty grazing of the shins to an opponent is a potentially good way of getting out of a dangerous situation.
A good boot to the opponents goalies is a more safer course to take though
Anyone who kicks to the knees is a cowardly scumbag.
Alright! Now I can finally take on Bradley Martin (even though he is 260)
Wish me luck 💪
Hey tony could you do a video on every defence. Kind of like the every punch explained video. Thanks
Hi mate you may want to check this video ruclips.net/video/ujwYFTinll0/видео.html - it was uploaded 2020 but still a great one about defense
You the man!
Always good advice 💯
most big guys will charge you a well timed low kick on a charging opponent is absolutley devastating it can also be landed while you sidesteping the charge, a bread and butter kata.
Good information, got to get that good one two in 👍🏻
Happy to help mate
Very good tips Tony, quick leg work saved my ass few times. Big fan of your videos keep doing them man.
How?
Eng is not my native language. I meant fast footwork. It helps avoiding being hit.
superb instructions Tony, thank you!
What about height difference, my punches don’t reach the guys face 😂
First mistake you assume the big guy is slower with less endurance.
I am a big fat strong guy, thanks for showing me this crucial info so i know how to counter these tactics :P
Judo + Boxing = Outstanding Solid Base for escaping larger, stronger, bullies.
As a big guy im taking notes
I am that bigger heavy person and my biggest fear is fighting someone faster then me because u only fight to protect my lil bro and myself and i ain't That good because i could throw a good punch but it's a slow since people dodge it alot so now i am on this channel to be a better fighter
Thought you were going to take the big dude’s back there at the start Tony. Nice escape to technical standup by the way. 🤙
hey Tony i was watching one of your fights last night, you were scary back then damn man 🔥
Very helpful ❤ Our school bully is going to have a taste of sweet vengeance tomorrow
@user-mq7xq1hi2q😂😂😂
I remember a gym I went to. Apart from the weights, they had kickboxing too. The coach was NBA tall and probably weighed around 130 kg.
The People's Champ. Thanks as always Tony
ALMOST 2 MILLION SUBS GO ON TONY U DESERVE IT MATE
I'm avoiding fights, in any confrontations, but sometimes....if you don't have a way out, well at least, thanks sir
your doing the right thing ma man
Thank you very much Tony!
The lessons reminding and explaining
so much impressiv!!
Sad to say: Specialy in the times of nowadays
and when you cant run because of prothese..
Its great to hear the original english!!
Buen video 🔥
I love your lessons Tony as much as I love your accent!
Wow ! This is another Ace video from an Boxing Ace❤🎉.
Thank you sir! I like reaching around and letting them know I’m there by checking their oil 👀.
You mean u get on your knees right away and work the pipe?
The best fight is the one that is avoided. The video is very good. Thank you very much!
Thank you
It’s the last thing I was expecting out of Tony’s mouth not gonna lie hahaha
Killed me
Best idea is to run.
muy bueno 👊👊😁
Great tips Tony.
Excellent question, Tony should consider doing vids on all body types, I hope he sees this question and addresses it.. .. 👍
Informative, , persuasive, imaginative, evocative, distinctive!! Brilliant.
Was waiting for this video 😭
Mr.Jefferies keeps it 💯! Great vid!
Mike tyson traning fransis .what do you think about it?
Drive forward hard, slip through his defense, retreat to a safe distance, repeat. Defeat from a thousand jabs
Thank you
Is this a video response for 260?
I find the knees/groin/throat to be the best targets 👌
Great video. Thank you brother.
Great video Sir
Great tips here. I would just say it would definitely benefit you to learn a little wrestling or jiu jit su in those ground situations. I am definitely of the same mind that you need to keep the fight standing at all costs, but it’s important that you train for worse case scenario as well. Jury’s still out on the efficacy of butthole poking ☺️
the poking might work, the big guy may be into that and they could make up and go on a date lol
Kimura Lock all day
If it goes to the ground, he best protect his eyeballs because that is my first target and I'm going hard.
I won my last fight after a bloke took me to the ground by pushing my thumb into his eye as hard as I could.
He started screaming and I ran away 😂
@ScottHendrix-yz3duWould you say that most attackers would be reluctant to come back for more after attacking their eyes?
These videos are so good.
Tony, As a bigger fat guy who watches your videos and learned a thing or two bc of it, this info is def good to know 👀
Nah jk (kind of) I don't go looking for trouble but if trouble comes to me, I'm prepared. 🥊
he needs one for short skinny guys. Usually we are your allies but some are too sneaky
@@hydroturd As a 6-2/6-3 guy I've seen so many martial art techniques based on taking down taller dudes and am now terrified of people that are like a foot shorter than me and trained in any form
It's nice to know some 6/2"/6'3" guys are actually terrified of fighting. I always figured they were all super confident. @@phantominway
hmm.. This reminds me of the book/movie Holes, where the teacher doesn't believe Stanley gets bullied because he's the biggest kid in the class @@phantominway
Excellent!
I'm glad to see that your last name is spelt the correct way
Top man!💪👏
Great video.
Good video. Just because someone is big and fat doesn't me and they don't have fast hands. They may not move well in general but I would run into these types I've guys years ago. Lots of them were great athletes at one time but just go older and out of shape. But they could still throw hands.
If the big guy closes in to take you down, if possible, a well timed sprawl could really come in handy too.
2:33 so true, just fight dirty. It could save your life.
Agree mate
Those who are a beginner boxer and watching this for school fight🗿
Nice Thai Fight bag Tony!
if using good movement id suggest stamping your foot down on the side of their knee and buckling their leg, not only will it hurt and possibly fuck their knees up but will stop their movement in that moment as you land as you're buckling their knee and putting them off balance, from there you could also possibly take their back or use their own momentum to pull them to the ground
I should probably save this, I've been watching your boxing beginner tutorials over the past year (using different youtube accounts), and it has helped me alot in my training! Hope you'll get to 2 MIL subs sooner or later!
I personally just dive and try to bite the achilles.
I just dive. I do so much diving, no one is ever able to attack me! In fact I’m diving right now! 💦
Can you please do a video about how to be able to defend against a vicious guy or a faster fight in the street fight or anywhere?
Nice one thank you
Thank you so much!
I can't help laugh at this title....LOL (it's very helpful video actually, just hilarious title)
I learned size doesn't mean anything in 11th grade. Little 5'6 155lb dude knocked out cold some big 6'2 220lb bully at school. I didn't know it then but the little guy clearly had training . Size only matters if bother guys are skilled and trained.
Little guys can hit hard.
Weeb analysis strength gives a massive advantage and you don’t understand what probability is dumbo
Size matters when skill are usually close. Naturally a trained small guy will beat a big guy if the big guy is untrained. Heck a trained women can beat a untrained guy. On the flip side Its hard to beat big guys who hand speed is just as fast and hit way harder than you and can move their head.
basically stick with soviet style boxing
Very good sir
