BDO would be prefect to accommodate OSRS players tbh.. grindfest, gambling, AND you can even achieve the same graphics quality if you turn everything to potato play-doh quality
Idk they're missing out on the RMT capability tho.
As an osrs player bdo gives the exact same feel as osrs.
I am currently playing both….. maxed in osrs and kinda shit gear in bdo

I've played ESO for over 8k hours before I started playing BDO 4 years ago. Believe it or not, it's the closest to BDO in terms of combat. Worse but you still have cancels, dodge, block and it feels way more interactive than the remaining MMO's. It's great for people who like dungeons and raids and pvp is kinda funny too, you can solo a lot of people in open world pvp. The best thing about ESO is the fact gear is somewhat equalized because 1. there's no pay to win to get your gear up at all and 2. there's a shitton of interesting sets with different stats and stuff. Build variety is pretty insane, wish we had that in BDO. You can basically switch out 10 different builds on the fly if you want to.

alot of people might not be aware of this or might've forgotten about it but that footage playing at the end was also 1 of the Hopium & Copium mmo that some people are expecting to be greatest mmo that will ever come out which is Archeage 2 and some people might remember this but the dev who started ashes of creation was a person who was so addicted to the original archeage that he got inspired to try and make his own mmo
what about lineage II? There's still a bunch of holdouts playing that game and it was at one point very popular

Guild Wars 2 has amazing combat, second only to BDO.
All the mounts, massive world bosses, beautiful world, structured PvP, World vs. World, fractals etc. are great, but it's the combat system that makes everything you do fun that holds it all together.
As for ESO? I've actually been trying it out for the last month and it's an epitome of mid. But in a mostly good way. Combat system? Much worse than BDO or GW2, but better than many other games. Gearing? Worse than GW2 or FFXIV, but better than most. Dungeons and raids? It;s not WoW or FFXIV but not far behind. PvP? Enjoying it so far.
One thing that really stands out tho are quests. All of them are (well) voice acted and writing is actually really good. Not "good for an MMO", but actually good. This is literally the 1st MMO I found myself doing all the side quests and actually listening to what NPCs have to say. And I've only been going through base game. From what I hear it gets even better in expansions. I can recommend it.
thirsty-ness is pretty close between bdo and ff14, the amount of degenerate mods (all kind of things like furries, funataris ect, actual nsfw intercourse mod that they can synced together for ERP). Then they posted all that to their ff14 twitter that has thousands of followers is crazy. I had a friend who partake in those where he’s basically an escort in game for money and that’s what he do all day. The dude basically paid rent with it. Had to cut him out after that 😂
He missed Dark Age of Camelot :-P I keep going back to it every once in a while. Still think it has the best PvP / RvR system ever.

Guild Wars 2's community seems mature on the surface, or on the periphery of the game itself. Once you get deeper into playing it - it's mostly just toxic crybully kids, political activists, and egocentric noobs that think you owe them a carry, in every bit of content you do, even in communities that exist specifically to find a group without any annoying people. But at least it's far better than in any other western MMO on the market.

@@aaronkeener1210 wow had dragon mounts well before gw2 , they were drakes , drake means dragon ,all wow expansions had them , if drake isn't good enough I'm sorry , but it literally means dragon
@@spaycendragon mounts and any other bird mount or even flying horse mounts feels the same in WoW. What they mean by dragon mounts is "dragonriding" where you can have acceleration, diving etc. which gw2 already had for a long time and still works better.
i mean my perfect mmo would be osrs with bdo combat + graphics, or would iyou call it bdo with osrs gearing, skills and bosses?

my perfect mmo is gw2 but with jiggle physics, and add ff14 raids to the mix maybe.
Bdo combat looks and feels good for sure, but lacks the depth of theory crafting and being able create varied builds for separate occasions, and that seems more like a fighting game rather than an mmo. In gw2 i can have large scale pvp like 50vs50 where it's impossible for many other mmos.
BDO players are the descendants of the men who bought Playboy for the articles...
I honestly think that BDO has the best gameplay, even if the story is quite ... uninteresting. And when I say gameplay, I don't JUST mean looking up the skirt of your character. It's actually fun to play thanks to the very solid action combat.
I have only played two MMOs for any length of time: SWTOR and BDO.
SWTOR has the story and not the gameplay.
BDO has the gameplay and not the story.
If only they could combine and become the perfect game: crappy story and bad gameplay! Maybe that's Ashes?
I will say the story of bdo is actually pretty interesting, its the way its presented that holds it back

yehh i honestly think that most of the bdo players are actually ready to leave the game but sadly cant because literally nothing else can compare to it. If something that just had the general core components like graphics and combat came out theyd probably be more than happy to leave.
I've been away from BDO for a long time. Then I decided I wanted to see what was new in the world of MMOs as I got the itch to play. After a round of trying out GW2, FF14 and Lost Ark I ended up reinstalling BDO. The action combat is simply better.
Considering that combat is what you do for such a significant part of the game, it is very important to make it fun, and I think BDO does that better than any other MMO I have tried. Lost Ark is pretty good, but I just don't like isometric games all that much.
@@Antares2Imo, gw2 has better combat overall considering the things you can do and experiment with. It's hard to grasp the essentials with just the base game, have to play expansions to unlock the elite specializations that changes the game. If theorycrafting is your thing, you could give it another go. I personally like large scale pvp a lot. Bdo looks better though, since it's an action combat game. But the drawing distance is reaaly awful compared to gw2, and doesn't really support large scale content with other players in pve or pvp excluding the world bosses (you don't even need to party and coordinate with people anyway in open world)
Regardless i play both for different reasons :D

The only reason to play ESO is the side quests which are very good, however outside of that ESO is extremely forgettable.

Ive absolutely loathed world of warcraft since 2004. Its been underwhelming brain dead garbage... imo... since launch til now... but the wotlk cinematic is absolutely amazing. I still watch it regularly. Unparalleled ambience

Everything he says about GW2 players is wrong. GW2 players are all woke snowflakes who can not stand even a slightest of criticizm. I've had more 7 day mutes in GW2 forums than I could count. Just going against their views and pointing out flaws about the game really winds those people up. They are just a bunch of Karens. Had 4k hours in that game, haven't touched it in ages. Quit because I realised what kind of people I'm playing with.
