Some people seem to be upset since it's not a "1:1 faithful revival of the original Liberty city" and I also understand it, but I'm still on the supporter side of the modding team sprinkling their "creative freedom" by adding some new lore-friendly cars, new liveries, new props and textures here and there. Not too crazy like adding new buildings or changing map shapes, but just enough to give me the vibe of "what if this was the official dlc for gtao in 2025".
Nothing wrong in making LC modern and classic at the same time. I hope they added Onlines cars to it along with the likes of a LC version of all the IV vehicles like the Bullet and Infernus

Go check out the work that the Skyblivion team is doing. They're completely remaking Oblivion from the ground up in Skyrim's engine. They're using all of their own assets, so that they can't be sued by Microsoft, and/or Bethesda. They've been working since 2012 and currently have about 60 people.
Buying houses/yachts/businesses/apartments etc. would go so hard in Liberty City with how much stuff there is And yes flying jets would be a problem for most griefers LMAO people would hide easily between the most complex areas Escaping from the cops using the LC train would be hilarious. So much stuff to do in this map if it was playable in Online

26:03 i think another reason why R* didnt add planes/jets into gta 3, gta lcs and gta 4 cus they do not want players replicating or them making any missions relating to 9/11 as gta 3 had cut missions relating to 9/11 terrorist attacks as well as censored/changed names for gta 3 enemies (techically there is a plane in gta 3 as a wingless dodo but its hard to control), to the americans its kinda offensive and sentitive to that and some MSM will take offend to that and both take 2 and rockstar could get in serious trouble, hense why they had to cut it, but thats just my opinion and i dont blame them

When I see videos like this, makes me genuinely wonder if current gen systems could handle this kind of mod, storing & loading the data for these cities coexisting on one big game file.
Liberty City will always be the best GTA map. I always imagined how cool GTA online would have been had it taken place in LC. GTA Vs map is so empty and the city feels so small with most of it consisting of low buildings.
We did use to do air port 1v1s all the time, either that or it was a massive battle. We’d get in the annihilators and see who could knock off the others tail first, causing them to spin out of control and eventually crash. Good times man good times

I really hope they add onto the map in gta 6, if a small group of modders can do it surely a multi-billion dollar company can, like imagine being able to buy plane tickets to different cities
This is all I wanted for GTA5 at some point, but instead of loading it we just fly there, it would make battles more satisfying when you make enemy crews/try hard sweats litteraly flee to a different map entirely... you could make an invasion style game mode with objective based progression so you gotta control areas in order to push and the other team fights to push you back a bit like what Battlefront 2 did and you win or lose if your objective is captured and returned to the other island.
since they did it all for free it doesn't seem like theres anything that needs purchasing except for fhe base GTA V, i don't see TT rushing to stop this, but they will probably shut it down after some time

Seeing the vehicles deform makes me actually upset they got so lazy in GTA5 with the DLC vehicles they all maintain perfect shape & performance. I love hopping in an old car in GTA that can actually get beat up.

Prior to this video, I have never seen a Brickade in GTA IV. Didn’t even know that version of the vehicle existed!
It was added to the game files with the Gay Tony DLC. However, it doesn't spawn naturally in the game and is is only accessible with mods.

There used to be daily wars in the GTA4 online free roam airport. GTA online wasn't what it is now tho.
