This song was recorded on the day that XXXTENTACION passed away as a tribute to him. Juice and X knew eachother and Juice even made the album cover of this song a screenshot their last conversation. He tributes Lil Peep in this song as well. Great reaction/breakdown as always Tom!
RIP
Also lil peep
@@ThisisStephennn re-read it
Dang
@@ThisisStephennn don't forget about lil peep
song is about two rappers, LiL peep (passed in 2017) and xxxtentacion (passed in 2018) and after x died, juice was inspired to make and drop this song in tribute to both legends

“last time it was the drugs he was lacing” there he was talking about lil peep. Crazy to see how far this channel has come, from the comfortability of you in front of the camera to the fanbase you’ve brought together, can wait to watch the climb to a million, much love tom.
3 legends they will all live on
🖤
When he said “this time it was so unexpected” he was talking about XXXTentacion being murdered and when he said “last time it was the drugs he was lacing” he was talking about Lil peep🙁🕊
and the sentence "We aint making it past 21" is so eerie after his death. Talking about the way his peers died way too early, and then proceeding to pass away at the same age. Such a tragedy...
and for a timing reference for Tom, lil peep died November 2017, and XXX died June 2018, and juice released this song just days after the passing of XXX, in tribute to them both
@@theodor8884 That's not true, using "we" just meant he considered them his peers, it wasn't some prediction or something. It's a very common phrasing, it could be like we(the youth), or we(the generation) or we(the gang), etc... it's just a phrasing to refer to a collective, not necessarily specifying yourself.
@@TheOnlyGhxst Oh yeah, 100%. I stated that wrong. Just meant that in hindsight its eerie because he didnt make it past 21 either- wasnt to claim that it was a prediction.
still remember the day this came out and the unbelievable response from everyone praising Juice for doing this.
RIP to all 3 legends.
There is way more than 3 my man.....
@@jacobbullock4948 that's obvious but this song was about 2 and the guy singing became what he said in the song so at the moment its 3
Don't think we should call them a legend anymore...We rather should call them a star. Since Legends fall in the process
For real man…I had found juice months prior when AGATS came out but this and rich and blind really gained my respect for him and his work and really got me hooked
This was was written in june of 2018 right after X passed. This song really touches me. I had just turned 18, and now that I am 21, it just makes me think about how quickly anything can be taken from us. My life is completely different from 4 years ago, a lot of loss, but also a lot of growth. This song forced a lot of people to move on and see the things that they do have in a different light.

This means a lot!! Thanks so much😊👍
The "27 club" refers to Curt Cobain, Jimmy Hendrix, Amy Winehouse and a few more, who all died at the age of 27. Juice wrote and recorded this song within a day or even a couple of hours on the day rapper XXXTentacion (20) was shot.
facts
I dont know if anyone has said anything but this is a tribute to Lil Peep and XXXTentacion
This time it was so unexpected (X’s death)
Last time it was the drugs he was lacing (Lil Peep)
Edit: Also congratulations on 100k you deserve it ❤️
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🌟⭐
Thanks so much for the take and for the congrats!😊👍
the 27 club is like a large group of stars/celebrities that all died at 27, such as kurt cobain, if you look it up theres a whole wikipedia list of famous people who died at 27 and clearly here juice is saying he wont even make it that far :(
this one is a great example of his unmatched lyrical abilities. when he felt strongly about something he could just barf it all up into a beautifully intricate song. great reaction as always Tom, congrats on 100k!!
Thanks Keith! Great take! And thank you for supporting😊👍
It’s so eerie how in so many of songs he knew his death was inevitable and coming fast. Almost as if he had manifested it somehow. Great song and great reaction🙏
He ain't manifested it, he was just self-aware enough to know he was killing himself
@@jessearmstrong-kooy2930 he did manifest
If you think of all those 3, they actually HAVE kind of manifested their death. Just think about it.
@@user-qi8oh2nv9x i mean kinda but lil peep was just so freaking unexpected and not thought about cause he was finishing his tour so people thought he would be fine and xxx, was unexpected and he was trying to become a better person but I understand what you mean
@@user-qi8oh2nv9x none of them manifested their deaths. XXX certainly didn’t & Juice Wrld & Peep were hardcore addicts. Trust me, when you’re at a certain point of addiction, you know you’re killing yourself & you know you might drop dead any day but you can’t stop yourself from using. I’ve been there. It’s not manifesting, it’s awareness of the consequences of your actions & their inevitability
“ ‘They tell me imma be a legend’, for sure” I love how you connect with this music

Congrats on 100k subscribers! Juice community still here supporting, proud of you guys crazy how quickly your account blew up amazing!
Thanks so much!!!😊👍
Ay you finally got around to Legends! Got excited when I saw this in my recommended. This is probably one of his hardest songs to listen to after his death, because of how eerie the lyrics are with him basically predicting his death. I still remember when he died, everyone was talking about the lyric ‘What’s the 27 Club, we ain’t making it past 21’ because he died only a week after turning 21. It’s some really sad stuff. But this song was originally made (along with Rich and Blind) a few days after XXXTentacion died as a tribute to him and Lil Peep. Hence the ‘this time it was so unexpected’ being about X, and ‘last time it was the drugs he was lacing’ about Lil Peep.
But yeah, congrats on 100k, thank you giving us such great content.
Nice explanation! Thanks for commenting, watching and supporting us😊👍
He spokes about Lil Peep, and XXX.
The song was 2018 released as the first song on Spotify of him
CONGRATULATIONS ON 100K, TOM! 🎉💜 it’s crazy how fast you achieved that. So happy for you! Keep up the great work and make sure to thank Nick for me too!
Also, Legends is one of the Juice WRLD songs I’ve been looking forward to you reacting to the most. Hoping for Conversations next (no pressure though).
Congrats again!!
Thank you so much Rebecca! And thank you for being around all this time, it means a lot to us😊👍
Congrats on the 100k!!! Juice wrld reactions always get people subs but what keeps them is your personality. Great work!
Thank you so much! We love it and love your support! 😊👍
You probably won’t see this Tom but I just want to say thank you. I have literally watched all your videos you make reacting to Juice WRLD. I am a 22 y/o male from Chicago and I actually grew up in the same neighborhood as Juice. I feel as if his music really relates to me and has helped me get through so much. I’m not sure if you are familiar with when he said “if anybody is going through anything I hope and pray that you get through it and just know that you do have the strength to get through whatever the fuck you going through no matter what it is” I live by that everyday, I even got it tattooed on my forearm back in 2020 to remind me. Keep up awesome the videos.!!
What a great comment! Thank you for taking the time to share this, you have a special connection to him, I can tell! Thank you for watching😊👍
I listen to the song and don't think much of the lyrics anymore, but im really thinking and remembering how devastated I was when X died. I discovered Peep after his death but now I feel the same about him.
this song was written shortly after X was killed in a robbery gone wrong (unexpected) and lil peep had passed a few months earlier after an overdose (the pills he was lacing) and the song speaks about how all the legends seem to pass early, just like Juice eventually passed far too early
Thanks for the take!😊👍
This is my favorite Juice WRLD song. X, Peep and Juice were and still are in my top 5 artists since before their passing except for Peep who I sadly didn't discover until after he passed. So this song speaks so much to me and even more so after Juice passed, scary how he predicted his own death. Emotional song.
So sad😢
What a great and powerful song. And great reaction as usual! Happy 100k also! 🎉
Thanks so much, appreciate the ❤️ 😊
I was having a great day: got a haircut, washed my car, and had orientation for my new job. Then I saw this. Now my day is amazing!
Also, I love your adlibs 😂

100 thousand!!! Great job my friend. Been here since 10k, and can't wait to see how far you go!!
There's a key phrase in this whole song that reads :"We aint making it past 21". Everytime I hear that I get chills. It's sad to see people this talented getting pushed away from our world this young specially when they got so much to live and look up for. Peep would be 26, xxxTentacion would be 24 and Juice would be 23 in 2022.
Thanks for the reaction, its always good to hear people still praising this music. Much love from Spain

Yeah seen some similar comments. This was released just after xxxtentacions death. The line "This time, it was so unexpected" is in reference to xxxtentacion's death and "last time, it was the drugs he was lacing" was in reference to Lil peep's overdose.

Juice made this song after XXX died in tribute to X and Lil Peep, in the song when he says "this time was so unexpected" its about XXX death because he was shot to dead unexpectedly, and when he says " last time was the drug he was lacing" he is talking about Lil Peep because he died of overdose. And when Juice said "we aint making it past 21" its beacause XXX and Lil Peep died before passing 21, and later not even Juice did 😢. THIS SONG GIVES ME GOOSEBUMPS
I honestly watch your reactions and somehow end up getting self help from what you say at the same time, I just lost my mum 3 weeks ago after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.. Your words have helped me through yet another dark day. Thank you sir

So, the 27 club is a reference to the group of famous people who died at 27, often young "rockstar" types. Along with this superstition is the idea that "death comes in 3's" and Lil Peep, XXXTentacion, and Juice WRLD all died one after the next. This song is a tribute to all those fallen legends, and he recorded this the day that X passed away. Juice predicted that he wouldn't make it past 21, and he died several days after his 21st birthday. Such a tragic song, and one I still love to listen to. Great reaction, as always! I love your insight and how helpful you are to me in making my own life choices.

Was fortunate enough to see him in concert in June 2019. This song had an energy to it in concert hard to explain!!
Wow!😳👍
Hey Tom
Legends is the song Juice put out after XXXTentacion died from a shooting. That’s who he is referring to when he says “This time it was so unexpected” and the following line of “last time it was the drugs he was lacing” was talking about Lil Peep and how he died from lacing drugs
One of the most influential artists of the time “that is so nice, is anyone else hearing this” yea man I think a few people heard it
This song was made in reaction to X's death and it's a tribute to him and Lil Peep. Crazy that he himself ended up passing as well.
This song, and rich and blind was a tribute to the rappers “xxxtentation” and “lil peep”, lil peep does to overdose “last time it was the drugs he was lacing” and ‘xxxtentation’ who got shot at a motorbike shop. They both, in fact all, died at 21 years old. 27 club is a club where all famous ppl died at 27 or before 27 years of age
The saddest part is that he always rapped about having guns on him at all times but it was himself that he needed to be protected from 😔
