How did you manage to keep the body from flexing? I'm about to put my blazer on a rotisserie but I'm afraid to weld it up if it flexes while on the rotisserie
I did all the floor, and firewall sheetmetal replacement with the body on the frame. I welded a support bar from the top of the windshield post to the rear floor on both the drivers and passengers side and another from the drivers door latch to the passengers latch and kept the roof on the body while putting in a new floor. The firewall didn't need too much support because the A pillars and floor are enough structure so it won't move, but I did weld a tube from the front body mounts to the frame just to be safe. I wouldn't try to do any major panel replacement with the body off the frame.
@@moderntooclassicautodesign8676 gotcha... I kinda wanted to take advantage of the rotisserie and do my rocker boxes and rocker panels while on rotisserie, I was thinking's maybe leave the top on it that way it's naturally braced and I would be able to fit my doors and rocker panels all while on the rotisserie. Just kinda iffy about the weight being too much with the top on
Yeah that's a lot of stress on the rotisserie with taking the rocker boxes out, they connect the cab floor to the bed and there's also a small triangular brace that bolts inside the rocker box, so make sure you have that too before cutting it all out because that generally goes bad with the rockers. Good luck, hit me up with anymore questions
