I'm a Wings fan that was born in 88 and I had no idea how lucky I was to witness the Wings win those cups in '97 and '98 (and even 2001) I was so spoiled.
On top of that, Michigan's national championship in college football, seeing Charles Woodson, and how they owned Ohio State. All of those great moments in sports that I just took for granted.

Had many first round heartbreakers during the 1990s with the Calgary Flames after the Stanley Cup win. Then back half was bleak but Jarome Iginla gave some hope. Detroit, Colorado and Dallas was their hey days in the second half of the decade.
Y’all forget this though. Had Quebec not moved they wouldn’t have gotten Roy. There was a 0% chance the Canadiens would’ve traded Roy to the Nordiques cuz they were bitter rivals. Because Quebec moved to Colorado they got Roy and won those cups
I remember in 94 Osgood crying after the game when asked about it by reporters in the locker room. I also remember how much better he became at handling the puck around the net when the wings won their last cup in 08.
I watched the bruins more after’94 so I remember a really painful and long lasting rebuild period including a worst place finish and a bunch of playoff misses. Then the Mcsorley incident and Bourque trade was the nail in the coffin. Glad he won in Colorado though!!
How many teams made the playoffs every year in the 90s? The blues started the decade with the hull&Oates teams, mid 90s Keenan teams featured 8 hall of fame players, and they end the decade with the quineville lead macinnis and printer teams
8 from each conference. The Blues never missed the playoffs and were usually decent teams but there was also Detroit, Colorado and Dallas, seems like they were the team caught up in the shuffle. They lost to the Wings three years in a row in the 90s (though they did beat the Wings in 7 in 1990). Blues lost to Dallas twice, once in 98-99 and they got swept in 93-94 as well as losing to the Minnesota North Stars 4-2 in 90-91.
I was a huge Sharks fan in the 90's, first couple years sucked, but after that they put together really solid competitive teams, then I lost interest in them in the early 00s.

idk, Buffalo beat Boston 2 of 3 times in the playoffs including a sweep, and Buffalo took them to game 7 in the 1 series they lost, and they have similar playoff credentials across the 90s, and Ray Bourque got walked by Brad May for one of the greatest moments in NHL history, I think I'd got to give an edge to Buffalo in this decade over Boston
The points are awarded by playoff appearances, rounds won and a couple of regular season factors in there as well. It doesn't matter about sweeps or seven game series. I keep it simple.

You can limit it to the decade if you want. But to people who were watching Hockey from 92-2002 these were the 4 best teams, and there wasnt a inch of daylight between them.
