You can also crochet the wool lock onto the end of the wool roving and then wet felt but this way she's showing seems alot less time consuming in going to try it

I’ve also been doing a lot of experimenting as I just want to make wool dread extensions for myself, no interest in selling, never thought of mohair. I quite like Masham and Lincoln for dreads, it’s tough to work with but nice results for the main dread. Lincoln also have nice locks but the wool is quite fine. Happy making x

I love working with unprocessed locks, they make such a beautiful, bouncy and wonderfully textured extension. I have used masham for some ends, as well as the body of the dread, and they came out so voluminous. :)

I am now wondering if i can wet them while they are in and do the palm rolling to make bumps? There is only one person who teaches people to do a certain wool loc style and I saw it beginning of it here and she makes everyone sign a NDA so she's hording the knowledge for herself, and if I can learn to do it I'll teach it and let others teach others as well this industry has enough for everyone to learn and not everyone wants to teach it, they just want it for their business. But I am a single income house with me and my husband and if I can learn this beautiful technique I'll be able to teach others too. I don't think it's fair for one person to have that much power over the wool loc industry. I want to hand this business down to my girls, and how can I if I sign the NDA ??
