Did your parents take you on a drive to see the Christmas lights in December? Every December my parents would put us in the car and we would drive about to see the lights people had put on their homes. In the United Kingdom this has never been a big deal like I see in the USA but it's getting more popular. In the 1980s when I was a kid it was RARE and a real joy to go around seeing people who had lit up their homes.
This video started with one idea and migrated into another to be honest, initially I was going to take a walk around Bournville in Birmingham, home of Cadbury chocolate to show you the cute, village atmosphere but then I decided I would actually love to go and find some lights like when I was kid .. it was a challenge, this video took over 6 hours of driving and walking about .. BUT I think I hit the jackpot. Watch until the end to find out...

Having said that, visitors usually describe our house as Santa's grotto 😍
