Steph I agree 100%, an auger is a lifesaver and definitely makes planting bulbs much easier and quicker. I need to catch up on your dahlia videos for storing them. I’m in zone 7 a and taking my chances by leaving them be . Let nature do it’s thing and wish them luck . Your bulb show is going to be glorious 💚, definitely worth the effort. Love espoma I use it for both indoor and outdoor plants, really great quality soil. Axel is so adorable 🐶. We all need the rest for a few months and sit by the fire and catch up on reading in down time. Them to plant our seedlings lol Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
Good for you, Elizabeth, with taking your chances on the dahlias! Mulch or cover those babies up with some extra protection and I’m pulling for you that they come up! I’m glad someone I know doesn’t need to dig and divide them - it’s really my least favorite thing to do in the garden 😜 The videos honestly aren’t as chipper as most because you can tell I’m loathing the process! 😂 Yes, I’m looking forward to a little down time before the seed starting frenzy begins…enjoy some rest! 😴 Happy Thanksgiving, Elizabeth! 🦃
Hey. I just read your comment. I would totally try keeping them in the ground. Some people in zone 6 are covering them with plastic and straw to Keep Insulated after they had let the soil dry a bit, so they don’t have to go through the hassle of digging and dividing and replanting. I’m excited to see what happens. I’m zone 6b and I’m totally leaving mine in next year if there’s come back strong!
Hi, it’s a wait and see. Hopefully they come back 🤞🏻. It looks like such a hassle to dig them up, and since it’s my first year growing them I’m willing to take the chance. Good luck 🍀
Can't wait to see how your tulips do in your raised beds. I managed to just get mine in before it snowed 🌨.
Thank you, Ilene! I'm so curious myself...today or tomorrow they're going in with our rise in temperatures, so fingers crossed!
Each year that hard soil should get better. Oh my gosh, that dog! He's a HOOT!
He’s something isn’t he?! 🤣 It seems worse than last year to me, but we’ll see what next year brings!
Looks beautiful. Your husband is awesome!
Thank you, Steph! He is amazing when he helps…such a time and back ache saver!

I had a soccer ball and golf ball in one of my recent videos
They manage to find their way in don’t they?! 😂
Didn't plant any bulbs this fall. Waiting to see if they come back from last year. Bonny zone 5b
Ohhh let me know how it goes, Bonny! Curious to see which ones come back reliably for you! Good luck!
@@TinysGarden I've had some tulips for years. The doubles likely aren't that perennial.
