Always nice when the customer is that happy afterwards! Usually alot of them have had "bad experiences" with other companies without even knowing, but once they see someone do it the way it's supposed to be done they can finally tell the difference^^
Jake, it was great that you took the time to show the homeowner the amount of rot in the stump which made this tree very dangerous. He won't have to worry about the cedar crashing into his house in a wind storm. Blessings to you and Gordy.
So do I hear that creaking of the wood when it rubs together. I'm additionally glad he called you, Jake, and your helper, Gordon. You did an excellent job, as usual.
for those of us that make under 12,000 Per year this is perfection! Thank you for posting these videos. Never in a million years would my home owners insurance approve this scope of work. Thank you for the work that you do!
Excellent video as always Jake! I turned fourteen recently and bought an MS 261. Today I used it to cut a big tree that I almost crashed into that fell over a local bike trail.
Could you set a sling on the zip line to the tree so it sets the line where you are instead of the only attachment up at the top. Seems like your zip line would stay a lot more direct and move the sling up as you go. But I'm sure Gordy didn't mind the extra work :-)
Jake. I'm looking for work as a climbing arborist in Norway and Sweden now. That looks like a lot of fun. I was wondering though. What if you hook at least the next branch (or a whole lot more) in order on to the rope. Basically creating a lower anchorpoint on the tree. It does two things i think. The lower anchorpoint prevents slack in the line. Making the limbs you cut go higher off the ground. Straighter to the anchor on the ground and missing more things on the way there. The 2nd thing is you can reach the rope immediately. So the person on the ground only has to tention the rope more inbetween branches as you go higher up. Im no expert. Hell i havent done more then rigging ropes up high to pull on the tree to make sure it falls the right direction or goes against a lean. I admire you. Keep the jokes, spirit and great content going.
you cant pull it as far from the tree if you anchor it to the limb above, with a higher termination you can create a much longer speedline than a lower termination. It is more efficient in my opinion to hook multiple up at once but for the tree he was the length of speed line was more important then getting it down fast. been a climber for 4 years, Guilty could have a whole bunch of other reasons though
@@gamingsqaud22 I see your reasoning. But a combination could be the best then. Do the lower branches lile he did. And the higher branches with lower anchor points.
He was in a good position to compare Jake and Gordy to the previous tree guys he used. Not only will he call Jake for any future tree work, but he will also tell his friends and neighbors.
Enjoyed the video. Poor Gordy developed a powerful right arm and can now be nicknamed "Popeye" after all the cranking on the GRCS. Nice rigging, limbing and felling. A1
Seriously thinking about a zipline for our place, just have to get the angles straight. That thingy is just what I need. Whistle while you work, me I'm retired. Ordered the rope today.
Awesome! Not sure if you have a video or not but it would be great if you could have a video of just your equipment, how to setup, and each item you use. I’ve been cutting trees for years but I just drop them as a whole- no climbing and I love your setup. I would like to try climbing. Just not sure of what all is needed and how to set it up.
Felled my first tree today. Kinda messed it up (too much hinge on one side and not enough on the other) but it still went right where I wanted it to. Shouldve also taken a narrower face cut cuz it ended up not kicking away from the stump. Oh well, tree is down and no injuries. Cant ask for much more
Nice to see Gordy on the job with you. It would be cool to have You Gordy and Randy onbthe same job, i would probably be rolling on the floor. Tell Gordy if he doesn't like his new or old rafter Conrad made I'll pay for postage ....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice job that thing was a pig an Gordy saying he didn’t know what to do 🤣 think he’s the kind of guy that can figure out what to do in whatever he gets into thanks guys 👊
you always do such an amazing job falling the trees! plus the stripping of the limbs. in nice neat piles! do you chip it all? the cedar must smell wonderful! especially if it is the aromatic type. great video!
@@GuiltyofTreeson the house I grew up in my dad lined the closets in aromatic cedar , loved the smell, and the color of the wood. you just brought back memories of the old home. thanks for all the videos, they show how important and key that safety is when doing dangerous jobs like taking down trees! have a great day!

was thinking of picking that EHusky saw for my log home work, do you have a video explaining what you have and what youve done to it? Im hesitant to switch from Gas saws. but seeing that cut nicely for so long may ease my worry
There are two types of people making me lunch (and paying me) when I am working at their houses. Old people and kids of farmers. It's the if you are doing hard work you should be taken care of mentality.
Jake top video as always you have the skills to pay the bills for sure what do you think of chainsaw sleeves ive just started wearing them gives you some lower arm protection all the best from England👍🏻👍🏻
I saw more than buy Stihl saw for one price but a Husqvarna saw you have to buy the battery and the charger separate from the saw answer that question Bastille you can buy that together
Please keep it, Jake. I don't deserve it. There's not a single RUclips channel that I subscribe to. It's not fair to accept a gift for two sentences when there are people who send you money monthly or whatever interval you have that payment arranged. I hope you're having yourself a wonderful day, Jake. B'bye.
I don’t know how you trust the rope runner like that. The second rope is way to close for my likings to trust it with my life. I usually use a micro pulley to spread them out a bit
Camera never does trees justice. I tale pictures of my jobs alot and people are just like yea it' looks like work but it's always ten times more than it looks .especially once on ground .growing up In tree Care old mam used to say always BID JOB DOUBLE what it looks like and then add one .but today sometimes you gotta be I the middle
I love Gordy’s humility. So accomplished in his field(s) but still says “I have no idea about what we’re doing”.
The "That's when you know you're no good Jake" comment got me. 🤣

And he did not ask you to clear the driveway!
pretty sure I heard several Oooops, oops, oooh in the video wonder if he edited out any oh shits.
Jake, it was great that you took the time to show the homeowner the amount of rot in the stump which made this tree very dangerous. He won't have to worry about the cedar crashing into his house in a wind storm. Blessings to you and Gordy.
That was one Massive tree. You and Gordie did a wonderful job. Thank you for sharing!😊😊
Thank you! 😊
I think we need a Gordy and Randy ground crew video. 😂
Oh damn that would be the trio from hell 😂
Oh yeah, that would be awesome🤣
Randy’s running around zipping limbs In flip flops, meanwhile Gordy’s trying to drop the tree, Jakes just up the tree laughing his ass off. 😂😂😂
I just filmed a job with both of them last week :)
I really enjoy the cracking noise that cedar was making. Very soothing or calming I’d say.
Ground crew is so bossy!! 😝 Great video! Good to see Gordie.
Dude you have the absolute coooest friends. Gordy and Randy seem like fantastic hilarious dudes, and DAMN I miss Jed ❤️😭
You need to set a sling on the branch above the one u are speedlining so it acts as a redirect and the line will always be tight
So do I hear that creaking of the wood when it rubs together. I'm additionally glad he called you, Jake, and your helper, Gordon. You did an excellent job, as usual.
5:47 i flinched
I don't even have to click on the timestamp, and I know exactly what part of the video you mean haha

An electric drill/ratchet on the winch thingy might've helped for all that back n forth cranking early on.
'that's when you know you are no good'.....priceless :) Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Better than anything on tv.

Hey I know that ground guy. You pick him up at labor finders 🤣
Imagine having gordy the Legend as a ground man ...geez the Mastermind behind Westcoast saws and an ipressive logger
Great work jake and Gordy. Yall stay safe.
good days work Jacob. Great plus having Gordy there. Looks like the plan worked
Good job !! Gordie almost looks like he would like to try climbing and limbing !
That is one heck of a little saw,the Swedes should be proud.
You guys do excellent tree cutting. The homeowner is calling it right.

Picked up the 540ixp today. Has the .325 chain from the factory. The thing rips
Gordy's such a good dude!! I like him!
Cordless tech has really come a long way when you see a professional using a cordless chainsaw on the job. Damn 😮

Really appreciate your videos.
That looks like a fun tree to cut down Lots of branches
Have to agree with your client, you're one of the best I've ever seen.

it didn’t look “girthy” at all until you started spiking it. nice work👊🏼

I have to disagree with the limbwalking with DRT. SRT is way easier in my opinion

Amazing Job , thanks for nice video.
Fantastic job! Always happy when the job is done, and everyone and everything is okay. Praying for you and your family ❤️
I'm imagining what it smells like being up in that tree 🥴🫠🤤 glorious glorious cedar smells soooo good

Thanks 👍

Like watching when you and Gordy work together.

Nice one Jake
Bro. I'm taking a break from taking out one of the 8 Douglas Firs in my backyard. Great show to watch on my break.
Oh Geez. I can't have a break for 34 minutes though. That's too long. I'll come back after I'm done with the first one.
That one branch made me weave 😂😂
Well Done!
Nice piece of lumber.
After a hard day's work like this, a guy could sure use a tube salad and a mango for dessert.
meanwhile Gordy is meat and taters.
I have never seen zip line limbs before. Absolutely awesome. Well done.
Gordy looking like he could have just pushed the tree over, I think he stole Randy's 8 pack.
Nice job. Can get a bit for the grcs put a drill on it gordy. Just dont wana over crank em. Cheers
Another top tier job!👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Job well done!

Fun stuff
14:16 Man, zip lining straight into a dump truck would be pretty fast!
good job bro
Great job!
Sometimes getting paid in food isn't a bad deal. Ive walked away with smoked brisket and couple lbs of sausage. That's worth it's weight in gold.

Oh hell yeah

Jake, up here in Canada, we often fell a tree with all its limbs on. Do you cut them off to add content to those videos you eventually post?

I know battery saws are good and all but every time I hear one all i can think of is my kids power wheels, sounds just like one........
I guess you know what you're doing, but if it was me, I'd hook the tractor winch we're using to it and just fell the whole tree.
i'm missing out on the sweet aroma of that Cedar😕
