I think the pokemon company prolly estimated that the demand has doubled since evolving skies, so they lowered the pull rate to adjust the supply for those SIRs. Sunbreon to the moon with moonbreon.
Looks like SIR are going to be like 1:90 packs, similar to Surging Sparks. I do not think it went down to 1:60. Poke Balls are like 1:3 to 1:4 packs and Master Balls are like 1:9 to 1:12 so not too bad. Pull rates are very plentiful for Masterballs and full art trainers but man them SIR are going to be crazy.
Jake just did a video and broke down the punk rates for this set. Pull rates for the umbreon will be over 1 and 2000 packs worse pull rates than evolving skies. This set will definitely be like evolving skies . Be ready for a 1500 umbreon out the gate

I got woken up at 530am, my phone blowing up for this set release. I managed to get two ETBS and a BB case. Surprised to see the ETBS limited to two right off the bat. Also... If that Reshiram is stamped and exclusive to the PC Boosters boxes.. Prices will be crazy.

This is just depressing. I thought i had a decent amount of packs I've preordered to open on release day but now realising I may not get any full art cards from that. And I really want the sylveon. I also just don't really care about the pokeballs and masterballs, I'd take full art any day. I have a strong feeling I'll open those packs I've bought because I've only paid retail and I'm incapable of holding on to them for future reselling and then I'll just switch to Japanese so I can have a chance at getting all of the eevees because I love the art.
Good research and it does make sense. Since paradox rift it’s been 1/60ish for an SIR. I thought maybe with no IRs it would’ve been closer to 151 rates but I guess the pokeball reverse is the IR. Definitely not in my budget to play around with this set right now. Also I missed the new prerelease drops, GameStop is even out of stock
Since I missed the drop today, I spent that money on stellar crown booster boxes on Pokemon center. I know you like pc etb’s for the sv era but I got to imagine they will do well over time.
I was hoping they would have demigod packs, wonder if full god packs will be available in English. I'm finding it hard to invest with everything being sold out, orders being cancelled and then being resold for 2-5 times MSRP on the 3rd party market.
I'm guessing the pull rates will be similar to any other S&V set. SIR'S will likely be an average of 1-70 or 1-80 packs. Demi god packs will probably be around 1-500 & god packs 1-1000. That's just overall guesses.
I think when I do the master set I'm just gonna do it the regular way and then put the poke/ master ball cards in the back of the binder..... Unless it'll work to just do regular, reverse, poke, master in sequential order
What are some guesses for the SIR Umbreon's start price? Cheekachu started at $250 and ripped up to $550. Considering the hype and current inflated prices for this set, and that in my opinion, the Umbreon is a nicer card, I have to think it'll hit the market at at least $500.
No one can say for certain but if it ends up being around 1/2000 packs for the Umbreon we are looking at $800-$1000 potentially maybe even giving the Moonbreon a run for it's money.

There's no way a newly released card, with tons of stock coming out, should be eclipsing an older card like the Moonbreon. People would probably sell like crazy and go buy the Moonbreon, lol.

Evolving skies, any rainbow rare in 1/118 packs and 1/91 for V alt arts? I've opened 46 packs so far and i've gotten 2 rainbows and the sylveon V alt art😆does this mean i have godly luck? Also, managed to get 2 etbs and 6 booster boxes of JT before the site went haywire
I wonder. Back in the day when Celebrations came out it was more hyped than Evolving which at the time had been reprinted already and the price was down. Evolving did better in the long run. Infact as I typed this I decided to search reddit and YEP I found people saying to BUY Celebrations OVER Evolving Skies. We do not know what set will be Evolving 2.0 yet. It could Paldea Evolved, Paldean Fates or Twilight or Surging. Maybe that new Journey set even. Or just 151... it is extremely hard to tell and hype does not tell you anything
You know what the crazy part is... cards like the Greninja and Pikachu from Surging have only gone up from their high pre release prices. I don't know what to tell you to be honest.

The pull rates look normal for the US market. Folks shouldn't have their pull expectations set high due to the fun that is japanese terestral festival. JPN packs have 1 ex per pack and a guarenteed SAR per box + chances for more hits on top. Folks shouldn't be confusing the two products.
The pull rates are similar but the difference is that there are 32 SIRs and most of them aren’t very good besides the 9 eeveelutions. So what you essentially have are 23 IRs and 9 SIRs in terms of value. 9/32 * (1/60) =0.00469, or a 1/213 pull rate for SIRs people actually care about.
Pull rates not nearly as bad as evolving skies. You could open a case of etbs and not get one alternative art. In es. Still looks like surging sparks rates. My opinion
Honestly I don't get how people are mad at the seller. He got the product everyone wanted, he could have set the price above market and people probably would have paid it. being it was set at one dollar he let the community decide what to pay and i think that's the best way to go about it. How can you be mad at someone for making money.

Prismatic Evolutions is no Evolving Skies in my opinion. It’s almost as good as Evolving Skies, but I would rather have the Eeveelutions in their natural forms than wearing rainbow crowns. I also like that all of the alt arts in evolving skies tell a story unlike the prismatic evolution illustration rares that just show the one Pokemon with a background
Basing data off such a small sample size isn’t great. Also the comparison to evolving skies and calling it evolving skies 2.0 is so flimsy, seems like this only came out of it being full of eeveelutions and having a new moonbreon card. It’s very different from evolving skies though, first of all it’s a specialty set. While there are a lot of sir, it’s mostly the eeveelutions commanding attention. Evolving skies has much more depth in comparison.
@ yeah, it definitely doesn’t make sense for them to make the pull rate like that for a specialty set though, especially when it’s a set meant to let people get reprints for playing the game. Hopefully it’s not actually that harsh.
Eventually Pokemon will figure out they can capture a portion of the 'reseller' market by adding 20-50% to MSRP. If people are willing to buy all available stock for 20% markup over MSRP which seems to be true, why should resellers get to capture that money. Resellers don't create value, they just arbitrage msrp and perceived value. Look for an MSRP hike if this continues.

It was a scam confirmed that the packs were tampered again, you can see how he opens all the blisters the same and resealed them, the first couple were legit and had sir to hype people up, however the people that won those bids were working with him and made sure they won the bid so people wouldn’t actually get the sir, after those very single blister was fake, he opens it as you can see on stream then puts the stickers back and the tampered back and closes it up and releases it best he can

I think this great. Players of the game have the cards they need, collectors get the rarity they need for the SIRs pokeballs and masterballs.. the packs are just to hard to come by. The set itself I think Is set up beautifully for both players and people that want evolving sky rarity. Now personally I think they should make main sets like this and make holiday half sets more like Crown zenith. That gives you best of all worlds

@@Itwasneveraphasecards yea we haven’t seen much, and what we did see was underwhelming. Everyone is expecting every set to be an A+ investment and that’s just not realistic. The market is due for a big correction and I think it would be a good thing. It’s nothing personal against big investors, but blindly investing in a set without seeing the cards isn’t smart. What if this set is another Pokémon go, vivid voltage, shrouded fable and you just spent thousands on preorders? Once investors get burnt like that I think things will calm down a bit. At the end of the day follow your own advice man. Collect what you like. Don’t feel bad you missed out. As a small investor I pick and choose, and I chose to pass on this set.

Prismatic Evolutions is no Evolving Skies in my opinion. It’s almost as good as Evolving Skies, but I would rather have the Eeveelutions in their natural forms than wearing rainbow crowns. I also like that all of the alt arts in evolving skies tell a story unlike the prismatic evolution illustration rares that just show the one Pokemon with a background

Basing data off such a small sample size isn’t great. Also the comparison to evolving skies and calling it evolving skies 2.0 is so flimsy, seems like this only came out of it being full of eeveelutions and having a new moonbreon card. It’s very different from evolving skies though, first of all it’s a specialty set. While there are a lot of sir, it’s mostly the eeveelutions commanding attention. Evolving skies has much more depth in comparison.
Well like I said I agree we need more data to be certain but this is the way it is looking right now.
@ yeah, it definitely doesn’t make sense for them to make the pull rate like that for a specialty set though, especially when it’s a set meant to let people get reprints for playing the game. Hopefully it’s not actually that harsh.

Eventually Pokemon will figure out they can capture a portion of the 'reseller' market by adding 20-50% to MSRP. If people are willing to buy all available stock for 20% markup over MSRP which seems to be true, why should resellers get to capture that money. Resellers don't create value, they just arbitrage msrp and perceived value. Look for an MSRP hike if this continues.
Maybe next era but for SV they already upped the MSRP.

It was a scam confirmed that the packs were tampered again, you can see how he opens all the blisters the same and resealed them, the first couple were legit and had sir to hype people up, however the people that won those bids were working with him and made sure they won the bid so people wouldn’t actually get the sir, after those very single blister was fake, he opens it as you can see on stream then puts the stickers back and the tampered back and closes it up and releases it best he can
"move on to the next set" official PC preorders sell out within an hour and crash the site...what next sets? 😭

I think this great. Players of the game have the cards they need, collectors get the rarity they need for the SIRs pokeballs and masterballs.. the packs are just to hard to come by. The set itself I think Is set up beautifully for both players and people that want evolving sky rarity. Now personally I think they should make main sets like this and make holiday half sets more like Crown zenith. That gives you best of all worlds

I haven’t been impressed from what we have seen to far from Journey Together. I will be getting some but saving more for Rocket as well.
@@Itwasneveraphasecards yea we haven’t seen much, and what we did see was underwhelming. Everyone is expecting every set to be an A+ investment and that’s just not realistic. The market is due for a big correction and I think it would be a good thing. It’s nothing personal against big investors, but blindly investing in a set without seeing the cards isn’t smart. What if this set is another Pokémon go, vivid voltage, shrouded fable and you just spent thousands on preorders? Once investors get burnt like that I think things will calm down a bit.
At the end of the day follow your own advice man. Collect what you like. Don’t feel bad you missed out. As a small investor I pick and choose, and I chose to pass on this set.
Looks rubbish, I’m skipping it.
Hope it calms the market down when the scalpers get stuck with 100’s worth of garbage.
