This song is a little more fleshed out version of Sketch #17 that I posted the other day (minus the harmonium of course). I really just wanted to do something relatively simple with one building part. I hope to flesh this out even more and include it on the next Lowercase Noises album.

Actually at that point I had a separate loop going on the El Capistan... I was raising the tape age to make it darker and I was actually adjusting the reverb to make it darker as well. Thanks for watching!

Just watched this in amazement. So many guitar players try to sound like Hendix, VanHalen, Stevie Ray etc. etc. .... yet this guy does this. More of the Fripp, Eno, Hillage approach. I've never heard ambient guitar sound finer.

I like this feeling I get when I listen to this. The effect you add in on the 3.00 mark, kinda reminds me of a pan flute, nice work. Nice organizing of all the parameters for each pedal ...lol, that looked like a lot of work!

true, but my current lack of looper and funds to get a looper is my biggest issue. I am just beginning to explore this sound, its a learning curve

Whatever he does at the 5:00 mark that makes his one loop start sounding like "whistling" I'd like to know. Freaking brilliant Andy, you're amazing.

+rockinjon1 You can see him record the whistling around 2:57 ... looks like he removed the sub-octave on the POG so it's just an octave up, and added some fast modulation on the Memory Man

the boomerang has a fade feature... and if the loop is on the el capistan then i just roll back the repeat knob and it starts fading out. thanks!

I don't use any effects loops.
Boomerang has a buffer, blue sky has a buffer, rv-5 has a buffer, compressor boosts signal and sort of acts as a buffer...

It's not a matter of presets, it's a matter of decay time. More than one delay/reverb is kind of necessary.

SuperSamGuitar That's just a volume pedal. It cuts off the attack that the pick makes when he strikes the string. He's got other effects going in conjunction with the volume, but all the volume pedal is doing is giving it that fading in, swelling sound :)
