Yes. In 2025 talking about the “lock in” effect from a rate only perspective is really half the story/picture. Prices will be an issue even if rates return to below the long-term average of 7%. As evident in savings, moratorium, and credit reports…. many people are locked in due to prices of homes, services, etc.
Not if victims are fed up with the state’s failures and lack of response to disasters that they just take their check and leave the state. I would. To purchase available homes now at a much higher price, much higher interest rate, and much higher asessed property taxes, is asinine and doesn’t make a lick of sense.
Quite likely, but, when FAIR payouts are high multiples of their assets, this cost is divided among all remaining insurance companies. So don't ALL CA insurance policies (FAIR or not) triple in cost for everyone?
Hey Jason, curious to see if it makes more sense to build a home in the greater Sacramento area vs. buying a pre owned? Whats the average price per foot now a days? Is there charts or graphs that show how many people are building custom homes?

I cant decide wether to take the leap i would gear towards a nicer small home which i think would be desirable but it has to sell within a couple months if im not going to be screwed
I'm so happy interest rates are returning to normal. I like the incentive for people to save and be responsible Also happy with the QT by the Fed, and these high interest rates to slow down the movement of money

These real estate predictions are so accurate in the past. I’m sure they’ll be on target in the future.
