"Cottagecore" seems to be a cousin to "hygge." If hygge = winter cozy, then cottagecore = spring cozy. (Yes I know hygge in particular isn't *only* for winter. I'm speaking of the aesthetic which comes to mind first)
LOL I have lived in one of the most isolated parts of the UK living this type of life - it's fabulous. But REALLY hard work! Chopping wood, bringing in coal, cleaning fires, insects all over the windows, wild weather, trying to rescue birds and bats from inside the house, melting snow for water because the water supply has frozen in the winter, being at the end of the line for repairs when the power fails (the longest was five days after being a storm one freezing winter - I had to work by candlelight), waking up to it being -20 in the kitchen and having to put things in the fridge to warm them up! But to make up for it there are the flowing dresses, wellies, home baking, and sketching wildflowers. Lovely.
Hi to my absolute favorite book binding master! I would love to see more tutorials on garden journals or nature journals. Journals where you can add and remove signatures , have a simple pocket and a little inconspicuous tab to hold a pencil.
I love the feel of this aesthetic!!! I can see why I can't find yeast in the grocery store now!! Everyone is home baking bread!! But through all of this quarantining, I think if we look and can find a new way of living. A life that doesn't require many trips to the grocery store and now people seem to be picking up on more fresh fruit and vegetables now walking the dog with their partners or children is now an enjoyable act. There are no deadlines to meet or places to rush off to.
I used to live this aesthetic every summer as a kid when I visited my grandpa up in Grand Marais. My parents stayed at their house but my grandpa, his wife, and I would stay at his cabin in the woods. As a kid, I don't think I took advantage of it as much as I should have. But I fondly remember these memories.
I totally love the idea of you exploring an aesthetic and making something that fits that aesthetic! 😍😍😍 Would love to see what cottagegore is all about! And desertcore! Where did all these cores come from? Cottagecore doodle challenge anyone? Feeling so inspired right now... ❤❤❤👏👏👏

Actually this is such a good idea. I've been having a hard time deciding how to store my sticker sheets and since coming across Sea Lemon's disc binding videos, I've wanted to try it out, so instead of binding the sheets together with thread I would probably use discs. That way, I can add and remove the sheets as I please!

History does repeat itself. In the mid 19th century, the Bohemian lifestyle came into fashion. The unconventional way is expressing themselves through their art, food and style.
