It's obvious these two have never played this game before. Konami made this game. It was an arcade game, although pretty uncommon to find. Honestly, the game had potential.
@@Tubecade It doesn't on the arcade version, but the PC-Engine port added those. The blinking is mostly a warning that you're on low health. There *is* however a slight damage buff, up to +15%, based on how low your HP is.

@Tubecade I'm not sure. I only played it a few times back in the mid 90's, so my knowledge of the game is limited.
Konami will always be the King Of Beat 'Em Ups. They just couldn't make a fighting game to catch fire like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat though. 😢
