Interesting. Aerith's deaath was actually the first time I ever cried to a game, movie, or anything. I was a kid just like you but it really made me bawl. The first time I ever truly cried. lol
And I agree with you. Old games are still impactful. Also, I agree with you on why Aerith's death didn't hit for me in Rebirth.
They already gave us all the likely landing points for the Highwind. The Towers. We repel or drop a ladder onto any tower. Any tower will also serve as a pick up point.
I think the beginning scene in Kalm is pretty much how Cloud will handle Aerith's death-he won't acknowledge it because much like Nebilhem incident he does not want have to deal with the possibility that he is misremembering things. So he will probably try to change or avoid the subject of Aerith's death
Okay, I'm back in. I have faith again.
Cloud's denial of Aerith's death is going to be fucked up in part 3. He's going to express obstinate denial to the team, the team is going to wonder if he actually did it since they weren't there to see what actually happened, Sephy will instill doubt in Cloud and convince him he did it, the team will attempt to convince Cloud of the truth or maybe just let him keep thinking she's alive. It's going to create extremely tense moments for the team and their trust in Cloud. Cloud's mental state continues to decline. It's going to be soooo much more rich, layered, nuanced, and adds a lot of drama moving forward. These are my theories, anyway. Trust the team will make this dynamic juicy, tense, awkward, weird, and ultimately awful. Traumatizing for everyone.

How do you put out these great videos so fast? Favorite interactions? You know the interaction I want! Scarlet, by Midgar Raid, telling Tifa her gas chamber has rendered her unable to ever have children.The death of Aerith isn't enough this time around. We wanted that. Keep it! Good! But we were expecting it. That's not loss. That's just an important story arc. Now as adults, we need something crueler. Like I said before, there's still Marlene and Denzel. Adoption is a beautiful thing. I've pitched this already, but it's fun to mention a few times kyahaha!
Going into next game I really hope they didn't bring Zack back for nothing just to bread crumb him again like they did in Rebirth. Gameplay wise he got the shaft and then sitting around in Midgar with Marlene was just barely decent but at the same time Zack is your A list actor and it's a colossal waste to keep him on the sidelines after all the teasing they did and putting him on the cover. It'll be my single biggest disappointment if Zack is underutilized again in the final part. There has to be better gameplay and at the very least give him customizable materia and his full ability set in part 3
Remember the beginning of part 3 will be the revival of the real sephiroth and we lose cloud... then tifa helps pull his mind together... so that will come full circle fast
We shouldn’t be losing him for a bit tho. We still have at least Icicle Inn & whatever may be new in the area. Great Glacier, Gaea Cliff and then we get to Whirlwind Maze & North Crater. We may still go to Rocket Town first before that as well.
I really hope zack sephiroth ect gona have more weapons and battles in the vr

Zack is the BEST, and Zack and Aerith have to actually meet and talk.
aerith is dead and zack is probably gonna die in part 3 as well. them meeting is not gonna happen and I prefer that. that's what makes zacks death even more tragic the fact that he doesn't get that goodbye. this isn't a fan fiction.
Tbh the way they are going I feel they will shift Tifa and Clouds moment to them meeting each other. Same emotion different scene.
@@wmen48 if you’re talking about the LS sequence they would NEVER do that. That’s one of the biggest moments in ff7 if not the biggest. This is clouds story they wouldn’t have Zack overshadow his biggest moment.
But I do think the lifestream sequence will also be about cloud getting over aeriths death.
Heya Dave, I sat through the whole video of that event in Saudi Arabia, and to be honest while there were a few interesting points here and there, it was mainly a fluff event for the middle east I thought. I was surprised they didn't have someone who spoke Japanese and Arabic, because Arabic is the language they speak there. I really wished they would have gotten some more information on Zack. I'm all about some love for Zack. Part 3 has the potential to be twice as big as Rebirth and I'm sure even after wards they will have DLCs.. you don't make an open world that big and just let it die without using it for more interesting content as there is so much lore in the FF7 Saga.
Speaking of FF7 Lore, I stumbled on an old video about Dirge of Cerebus Lost Episodes... you should check it out. It was Japanese exclusive of course like Before Crisis. Just when you think you know all the FF7 lore there is to know, there is something that you missed.

There was headphones that translates from English to Arabic and there was A youtuber there who speaks Japanese fluently but maybe the devs wanted a translator they know and trust
I'm pretty sure they've stated somewhere that they aren't done with the IP after part 3, and that there will be more games going forward
@@The_winds_of_change One of the Devs had mentioned that he hopes that they continue doing stories (Maybe Nomura) but he had mentioned after part 3 he was retiring or something to that effect.

I don't know why so many people found Aerith's death shocking. I had seen game characters die plenty of times before that, this was nothing new.
It wasn't even the first time a party member had died, or that one had died within a final fantasy game. Not to mention Aerith was the most irritating character, she was a stalker creep who wouldn't leave Cloud alone even if he kept rejecting her advances, I actually experienced Joy when she died.
I think one of the reasons why the dev team is openly speaking so much about the whiplash inducing ending with Aerith and trying to build hype for the third… They're trying to cover for the fact that the ending was received poorly. The game went from a 10 to a 7 to me because of the Aerith whiplash ending and the multiverse of fanservice.

Aeriths death and Clouds denial for it would work a lot better and not be as confusing if they didn't have alternative worlds they haven't explained properly that they mix into the last segment, speedrun it to get to a boss gauntlet and want people to have different takes on it. Regardless if Aerith is dead or not, it does not feel like it because of the presentation and her even coming back to fight Sephiroth, walking around and talking to Cloud in Terrier world instead of a white void as well as Cloud also seeing the trail of doom in the sky. She can just come back randomly in the future when they blend worlds or wherever. Even if it might be a way to portray Cloud in denial, it should have been about Aerith... and us. They do not need to add changes to everything.
