Worked a few months in the shipping industry. The companies don't give a damn if your package is damaged. They only care that they don't totally lose the package.
Keeping the plastic cover on the card case keeps it from getting scratched! Don’t take those off man..
I used to work at a postal plant, and it looks like that package got caught in one of the belts. Super sucky. Hate to see a legend auto go to waste.

I have seen too many packages that look like they either got kicked around the warehouse or run over. I had a package that came in a we're sorry bag.
@brianlund3125 Makes me think we must have a special sorting center here. I have received more packages than you can shake a stick at and only had one come in a bag. It looked like it was straight ran over. As far as packages go sent out, my packages with glass speak for themself. Over 10k packages with glass delivered. We only replaced two packages ever. One looked like the person dropped it and said it came like that. I would like to think that all the post I have seen are very much truthful and can be taken at face value. I doubt that is the case though. I have certainty seen my share of messed up packages, but not personally. I dont think there is a problem. I just think, things happen. USPS is by far filled with the most incompetent people at doing rheir job that II have ever seen but yet seem to get it done better than any of the choices out there.
I used to work at the post office in Maryland and yea I’ve seen this done more times than not 😢

Edit: you always say something about “if you’re still watching…”. Do your analytics say people only watch the first 2 mins or something? I always watch all the way though. Mail days, card shows, box rips, etc. I think box rips gotta be my favorite bc who doesn’t love opening expensive wax. Really do love maildays and the card show stuff also.

Yes it happens . Received a PSA 10 rookie card that was completely crunched . Envelope's must get stuck in the sorting equipment at times . I have also got opened empty envelopes a few times .
That Allen had to get real hot to bend like that. Otherwise it would crack.

I once mailed a card to someone and the top loader was literally burned and it fused the penny sleeve to the top loader. The top loader was charred black. Sawdust in the top loader. It was surprisingly not totally ruined . After refunding the seller I sold the damaged card for $80 (was $300 before). Buyer was pretty excited even given the condition and I got a couple bucks
Been to the Fishtown Cardshow it was a really good show. Going to the Cherry Hill Card Show on March 16th. Should be a great show for sure.

i left the hobby in 1993 (kids) and just got back in. The changes are mindblowing in my 30 year absence.
The proliferation of auto and patch cards is a huge change. My question is how can a 1 of 5 card even be considered colletible when 1) 99.9% of hobbiests will never even see the card and 2) there are 500 different versions of 1 of 5 cards.
