Your commentary on Alaska’s map location makes me laugh. I think it should help explain why we in the US have trouble grasping geography. We cover up the countries around us with insets of our non-contiguous states and then don’t teach how to read a map. It is also why we struggle to grasp the size of Alaska.
I was taught both geography and how to read a map. Most people were. It’s the remembering part and the fact that it’s not reinforced at all by parents that is the issue. My mom and stepdad were both in the military, and both of my dads liked to hunt. It’s mostly parents not teaching their kids any useful skills at all and expecting the schools to do it and somehow apply it without their help.
I guess most US maps are designed like this for practical reasons, but in this particular situation, solving a puzzle, if felt a bit odd to look for Alaska in the southwest instead of nortwest 😁
@@ASMRctica yes, it is odd. I’ve seen some more recently that put Alaska and Hawaii in the Gulf of Mexico, which is even stranger.
Bro what? I’ve never had one problem with this shit. I just think America is lazy, our country needs some sort of problem to make life tougher. And not infatuation, like having to walk places.
@@nomorecomply4044 so many people don’t know where Alaska or Hawaii is because of these little boxes. It’s not that we don’t have real problems, it’s that the real problems we have are education-related.
I like how his intro is so relaxing that it ha the most replayed.
Glad you like it :)
or perhaps people listen to his video on repeat, when it ends they click on the intro to start again
Subbed!! I LOVE this style of ASMR. I start to get discouraged that gentle soft spoken content isn't "enough" for viewers, but looking at all the comments here, it totally is. And you deserve all the accolades!👏❤💤
What a great idea! I’d love to see more puzzles in the future if possible!
Thanks! Glad you like the idea. I have some more puzzles so maybe there will be more videos like this

Yes. There is something mesmerizing about the way he says, "Use headphones...for best experience. I think the pause has something to do with it.
@@Dodgerzden a mix of instructional asmr, anticipatory tingles and personal attention? paired with his godly mumbling voice of course
I know it's a bit different from maps but I'd love to see you play some GeoGuesser!
Thanks for the request :) I've tried playing that a couple of times, it's so difficult 😅

This is a very cool puzzle!! ☺️ I am from Texas myself! Great ASMR as usual, love your commentary!
Glad you enjoy! Thanks for your support :D
As an American, it’s kinda messing with my head to see the states cut up near their borders, but not by their borders. 🤔
The point is relaxation though, and I’m getting that. 😊
Glad you enjoy, Glad you found it relaxing anyway 😁
It's weird, huh? Threw me off for a minute
This video knocked me out in 4-5 minutes, you make good ASMR and I appreciate you 👍

Got to love how the puzzle for the us was made stuck together in the beginning. Btw great video, keep up the great work. You should also draw a map of Yellowstone national park for one of your next videos.
Glad you enjoy :) Great idea, thanks for the request :)
The other day I got my first puzzle. It's one-thousand peices and it's of dinosaurs from the jurassic period

I really like the "creaking" sound of the loupe magnifier.
Great to hear! That sound was totally unintentional :)

Love the video (as always)! Will you upload more of your content on Spotify? Hope you are doing good :)
Thank you so much! So glad to hear you enjoy :) And yes, there will be a lot more content on Spotify this fall. Sometimes it takes a while before my new releases show up on Spotify, I don't know why. But I'm preparing for releasing a new album every week.
Easily the best asmr channel on RUclips. Have you thought of doing the Red Deas Redemption 2 map?
Let’s goooo! Sleep time… have a great night y’all
Sleep well :)
Can you do a video about Switzerland?
Thanks for the great content, maybee you can try it also with the German one...✌️
Just a quick pronunciation guide: "Boy-zee" is the pronunciation for Boise, Idaho and "Rou-lee" for Raleigh, North Carolina 👍🏽love your videos
I am such a huge fan! Great video!
It looks so cool finished with the states seals 👌 the lower part looks like a video game character roster.
Hey! Happy to hear from you :D So glad you like this video, and so fun to hear that the seals reminded you of video games :D I hadn't thought about that :) Hope you're doing well!
Fun fact the Mississippi river used to flow downward by now it flows upwards because of a hurricane
This video has become one of my top ASMR videos! Absolutely love it!! Please do the Germany one as well xD I am from the US and my girlfriend is from Germany, 1st & 2nd favorite countries lol
That's so nice to hear! Thanks for watching, Glad you like this video in particular!
Amazing video
Thanks :D Glad you enjoy :)
Cool video 👍
Thank you, glad you like it :)
That is an odd puzzle of the US. Usually the puzzle pieces are in the shapes of the State's borders.
Hey ! Can you draw the maps of others historicals empires ? I love that
I'd love to do more historical map drawing videos! Thanks for the request! Great to hear that you like those videos.
I'm working on naming all of the states (soon all countries hopefully) and I used this to study
Simple puzzle pieces: Let’s keep the states the way it is.
Complex puzzle pieces: *make the pieces look wobbly and confuse many people!*
I recently solved some puzzles myself. Great video. Hope you're well. It's Callum btw. Who made you fanart once
Hey Callum! Great to hear from you :D I remember that fanart, it was amazing, I'm so happy you made that for me :)
Glad you liked this video! And I'm very glad to see that you still watch my content. And I'm doing well. Hope you're doing well too. Btw I recently did a couple of basic lessons in welsh in duolingo app, and I recognize the word Draig from there ;)
Cool Video! 😎😎😎😎
Thanks 😃 Glad you enjoy!
спасибо,я тебя обожаю
Thank you so much :)
The only cure for terrible sleep :)
So glad to be able to help 😊
so very relaxing! I'm considering becoming a patreon
Thank you so much for great feedback! So glad to hear you enjoy, and so happy to hear you're considering becoming a patreon! :D
The shapes of this puzzle are funny. The don’t look like the real shapes of the states, but they also don’t look like puzzle pieces. Just kind of lumpy areas around the state’s borders. I think it makes the puzzle too easy compared to normal pieces, but it doesn’t teach how to recognize the state by size and shape (I had a similar puzzle as a kid that had the pieces shaped like the states that I liked a lot)
If you're in the mood to do more Western hemisphere geography, I would love a video of my Home State North Carolina.
Thanks for the request :)
Having Alaska down in the corner is the reason why many people are confused when someone says they are going to “drive” to Alaska.😂
can you make a video where you draw the borders of Finland? it would mean much to me:)
Thanks for the request! Would be fun to do that some day :)
Can u draw the new House of Dragons and Lord of the rings series maps?! That would be awesome
I’m not sure if this was intentionally made or not but I noticed a puzzle piece the shape of a dolphin!!🐬
I live in Juneau, Alaska! One of your pronunciations was correct- we say, “Jew-no”. Thanks for showing our correct location!
Please do the Australia one, its the hardest!
Hehe I wonder how long that video would be 🤔
ur intro is so iconic
Thanks! Glad you enjoy :)
This was one of the weirdest puzzles I’ve ever seen, the Shapes and design was different
I could hear the intro on loop
Glad you enjoy :)
The first one is Kansas. That is where I live!
انت مميز ❤️
Thank you
You proncounced Juneau correctly at 19:10. “Jew - No”. Hello from Alaska! Love your videos.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to remember that from now on :)
Thanks for your support :D
Nice
Thanks :)
Pls do your pen drawing at your intro asmr it really makes me sleep
There's one puzzle piece shaped like a dolphin. Lol
Ayeee I live in Lake Tahoe 🎉
Nice :)
I'm 5 months late, but Juneau is pronounced "Joo-know." Also great job with Alaska, the placement on US maps has always been frustrating and confusing
Thanks :)
For anyone wondering Iowa’s capital is Des Moines and is pronounced (de- moin)
Where do you get that pen at the beginning
Can't remember exactly. In an office supply store. It's a white out pen / correction pen
Could you try drawing a map of Atlanta?
Thanks for the request :)
The pronunciation of Pierre, SD is not “pi-aire” but just “peer”
Thanks for the feedback :)
OH MY GOD! The Upper Peninsula actually gets some attention! On behalf of the Yooper population, thanks from da U.P., Eh!!!
Kind of a disservice the map makers did for anyone who build this. That each puzzle could be the shape of a state but likely isn't. It's similar to having a bunch of words coloured differently than they read (ie "orange" string is coloured yellow and "blue" string is coloured purple, etc). In the same vein, each state shape could be the shape of a give puzzle piece which lowers the usefulness of identifying boundaries.
Maybe you have some gifts to ignore the physicality of the puzzle, but not everyone does.
Hey, Thanks for the interesting thoughts :) Maybe it's difficult to create a puzzle that follows borders exactly. For example the narrow pan handles an features like that would probably make the pieces more difficult to handle. I've seen puzzles of Japan that follows the prefectures more exactly, and those puzzles looks really nice.
A
1:02:00 it says “excelsior”.
Salem mentioned
I never thought about how stupid it is to put Alaska and Hawaii there lol Alaska and Hawaii are always bottom left on maps of the US and you’re supposed to just know where they actually are
🔝🔝🔝
Some people from tripe or sum are finna think this is the shape of the states😂
Puzzles
As an American, I am learning more about where each state is from this vid than the school is teaching.
Wait Wyoming exists? Oh no
Not counting Alaska, 50% of Canadians live below the US’s most Northern border.
hey! does anyone else see that dolphin shaped water peice?? what in the world?!?
