Your commentary on Alaska’s map location makes me laugh. I think it should help explain why we in the US have trouble grasping geography. We cover up the countries around us with insets of our non-contiguous states and then don’t teach how to read a map. It is also why we struggle to grasp the size of Alaska.
I was taught both geography and how to read a map. Most people were. It’s the remembering part and the fact that it’s not reinforced at all by parents that is the issue. My mom and stepdad were both in the military, and both of my dads liked to hunt. It’s mostly parents not teaching their kids any useful skills at all and expecting the schools to do it and somehow apply it without their help.
I guess most US maps are designed like this for practical reasons, but in this particular situation, solving a puzzle, if felt a bit odd to look for Alaska in the southwest instead of nortwest 😁
Bro what? I’ve never had one problem with this shit. I just think America is lazy, our country needs some sort of problem to make life tougher. And not infatuation, like having to walk places.
@@nomorecomply4044 so many people don’t know where Alaska or Hawaii is because of these little boxes. It’s not that we don’t have real problems, it’s that the real problems we have are education-related.
Hey! How are you doing? I just wanted to let you know that I absolutely love your ASMR; you're one of the best asmrtists that I know and, miraculously, I always end up noticing your uploads when I can't sleep
Just what I needed, been going through a mental rough patch. My family used to solve puzzles together, so this was the little Nostalgia and comfort boost I needed!
Subbed!! I LOVE this style of ASMR. I start to get discouraged that gentle soft spoken content isn't "enough" for viewers, but looking at all the comments here, it totally is. And you deserve all the accolades!👏❤💤
As an American, it’s kinda messing with my head to see the states cut up near their borders, but not by their borders. 🤔 The point is relaxation though, and I’m getting that. 😊
Got to love how the puzzle for the us was made stuck together in the beginning. Btw great video, keep up the great work. You should also draw a map of Yellowstone national park for one of your next videos.
Hey! Happy to hear from you :D So glad you like this video, and so fun to hear that the seals reminded you of video games :D I hadn't thought about that :) Hope you're doing well!
The shapes of this puzzle are funny. The don’t look like the real shapes of the states, but they also don’t look like puzzle pieces. Just kind of lumpy areas around the state’s borders. I think it makes the puzzle too easy compared to normal pieces, but it doesn’t teach how to recognize the state by size and shape (I had a similar puzzle as a kid that had the pieces shaped like the states that I liked a lot)
Thank you so much! So glad to hear you enjoy :) And yes, there will be a lot more content on Spotify this fall. Sometimes it takes a while before my new releases show up on Spotify, I don't know why. But I'm preparing for releasing a new album every week.
This video has become one of my top ASMR videos! Absolutely love it!! Please do the Germany one as well xD I am from the US and my girlfriend is from Germany, 1st & 2nd favorite countries lol
Hey Callum! Great to hear from you :D I remember that fanart, it was amazing, I'm so happy you made that for me :) Glad you liked this video! And I'm very glad to see that you still watch my content. And I'm doing well. Hope you're doing well too. Btw I recently did a couple of basic lessons in welsh in duolingo app, and I recognize the word Draig from there ;)
Kind of a disservice the map makers did for anyone who build this. That each puzzle could be the shape of a state but likely isn't. It's similar to having a bunch of words coloured differently than they read (ie "orange" string is coloured yellow and "blue" string is coloured purple, etc). In the same vein, each state shape could be the shape of a give puzzle piece which lowers the usefulness of identifying boundaries. Maybe you have some gifts to ignore the physicality of the puzzle, but not everyone does.
Hey, Thanks for the interesting thoughts :) Maybe it's difficult to create a puzzle that follows borders exactly. For example the narrow pan handles an features like that would probably make the pieces more difficult to handle. I've seen puzzles of Japan that follows the prefectures more exactly, and those puzzles looks really nice.
I never thought about how stupid it is to put Alaska and Hawaii there lol Alaska and Hawaii are always bottom left on maps of the US and you’re supposed to just know where they actually are
One of the best intros on all of RUclips
Thanks :)
I like how his intro is so relaxing that it ha the most replayed.
Glad you like it :)
or perhaps people listen to his video on repeat, when it ends they click on the intro to start again

@@ASMRctica yes, it is odd. I’ve seen some more recently that put Alaska and Hawaii in the Gulf of Mexico, which is even stranger.

That is an odd puzzle of the US. Usually the puzzle pieces are in the shapes of the State's borders.
Where do you get that pen at the beginning
Can't remember exactly. In an office supply store. It's a white out pen / correction pen
Please do the Australia one, its the hardest!

I’m not sure if this was intentionally made or not but I noticed a puzzle piece the shape of a dolphin!!🐬
Could you try drawing a map of Atlanta?
Thanks for the request :)

Pls do your pen drawing at your intro asmr it really makes me sleep

I'm 5 months late, but Juneau is pronounced "Joo-know." Also great job with Alaska, the placement on US maps has always been frustrating and confusing
