No surprise. It has always failed. They are short staffed, unable to keep up with meaningful inspections of their wards, and are not funded enough by government. The problem isn't the welfare system, it's the government behind it, which funnels the money needed to run a meaningful operation to pet projects. If you are going to blame some entity, blame the legislature and governors.
The new president wants to get rid of the department of education. Mostly…..they fund disabled and poor children. If you think it’s bad now?? Just wait.
Hawaii courts always favor the mom and grant custody to the mom even if she is a unemployed druggy or abusive. I’ve seen good fathers powerless to help their kids because the court system always favors the mom and by the time anything is done it is much too late.
@ yeah right, very few dads in Hawaii are granted full custody unless the mother relinquishes all rights . Just because you SEE a dad with his kids doesn’t mean you know anything about the custody of the kids or their situation. 9 out of 10 times regardless of how unfit the mother is she will get primary custody and the father will pay child support. Just because there might be a few dads who won full custody in rare instances doesn’t mean that is the majority of cases. Hawaii’s family judicial system needs a complete over haul.
@ I also see way more unemployed druggy moms on welfare who use their kids as paychecks. The same ones who abuse their kids or let their scrub bf’s abuse their kids to.
@@Warrior4Keakua Well….I’m sorry to say…..9 times out of 10 the father is abusive and drunk. That’s my experience at 57. My father was an alcoholic. My son’s father is an alcoholic. My son’s father is a high functioning alcoholic, and a very good father…..that is why I didn’t abort even though we weren’t in love. At the beginning….i had to let my 5 year old go to his father’s house…..knowing that he would pass out So, I chose to make sure he had time with his dad cuz both situations were hard. Children do need their dad.
@@TwilightZone96761 look at all the recent cases involving child abuse. The kids were in the care of the mother. Also your second statement contradicts your first statement. You claimed you seen a ton of fathers taking care of their kids and then said 9 out of 10 times they are abusive drunks. So which one is it?
Hopeful foundational systems rehabilitation to set groundwork for faith in the system. Momentum in documenting growth and small wins over time. Document the progress so outcomes are not just from a defense red alert but a potential spring board of hopeful interruption in the intergenerational trauma that leads to downstream suffering and inspiration to bring on more funding to social work, mental health professionals, and community advocates/prtners who won't suffer burnout and cynicism. Holistic multifactorial healing from many trajectories. 🤙
B.c groverment is not being held accountable for their actions 💯. We the people come first or we don't need a government. And groverment can be held accountable for their actions 💯
I mean I just called the police because 2 kids the ages of 8 and 6 were walking around BY THEMSELVES, knocking on random doors, running across main roads and they didn't even take the information down and told me that they won't do anything unless they were "playing dangerously" and asked if they looked "neglected"....um a 6 year old going door to door seems pretty damn neglected
Incoming President wants to stop funding to the disabled and poor children. That is what happens when they get rid of department of education. My grandson has severe autism. This new federal government will affect us all. Happy New Year!! 🎆
If people would just live the 10 commandments, stay in school to later earn a livable wage, live within their means, and avoid alcohol life would be much safer and more loving for all of the children.
Just as expected 😢
WE'RE NOT SURPRISED
Politicians campaign saying always children first. Yet nothing is done to help parents fight poverty and keep families together.
welfare check ups for moms with full custody of children.

They hired people they are not suitable for the job(social workers) and this are human life not animals

I see plenty single dads raising their children on their own.

stop being so quick to weaponize domestic disagreements and allowing a parent to use a child as a pawn in a manipulative abuse game.
When there is still no word on all the missing kids from Lahaina, the system has already failed.
Please help these innocent children. Get the drugs off the streets. Stop using mental health as an excuse for abuse. 😢

They are addressing this now? Too slow!
Fireworks are the number one concern, right!
💯
Hawaii is failing
We have so many homeless people now. It’s heartbreaking to see and of course the elderly, sick, and young children are the most vulnerable among us.
B.c groverment is not being held accountable for their actions 💯. We the people come first or we don't need a government. And groverment can be held accountable for their actions 💯
CWS needs to hire more social workers
Kristen mattos among others need to be fired and investigated
Keep voting for DEMOCRATS.
Start with court and lawyers for change

Blame cpc
We’ve been saying that for decades -
Not surprised.
Most of the systems are failing through out Hawaii. No justice for most of the innocent.
💔 how many children die each year due to this agencies good intention😢
