The multiple timeline bs doesn't make everything canon to everything else. This is a rocking fun track for two characters who are actually badass, they just happened to be overshadowed by the protagonist and also the fandom memes them as worthless even though they're both awesome. The name's fun too! VS-wise, Genos at his peak can scale to Orochi levels due to his 10 Second Mode being able to somewhat damage Psychorochi. So Multi-Continental to Planet if you REALLY high ball. Yamcha by the Saiyan Saga already surpasses Moon level easily. By the Cell Saga he should be more than powerful enough to at least be in the Planetary ranges. Speed wise both can be argued to FTL but Yamcha's faster. Skill and experience also goes Yamcha, he's a seasoned martial artist. He has ki attacks and Genos has ranged attacks and both can fly. Its not the biggest stomp, surprisingly, but the problem here is that Genos is only gonna be vaguely fair for 10 seconds before he loses his Orochi tier power level. So I believe Yamcha wins!

Here's where the tie doesn't happen, though. Yamcha was up until the end of the Vegeta Arc, whereas Genos made strides to make himself more powerful and efficient. As strong as Yamcha is during the Moro Arc, I'm more than sure he gets slammed here....

Yamcha by the saiyan saga had a PL of 1500 which makes him 5 times stronger than a Piccolo that could blow up the moon with a simple energy wave. Then later in the story Yamcha casually beats Obilu, a character who was giving Pikkon difficulty, the same guy who one shot Super Perfect Cell. So bare minimum Yamcha is a solar system buster as of right now while Genos is like continental? Only like Saitama, Cosmic Garou and God could beat him.

Holy crap that track art is amazing. Also epic Yamcha W because he deserves it. As for the song itself, well it's about what's to be expected from a track like that: high energy and intensity with a few tints of more comical segments and a microscopic amount of epicness to play on the characters' nature. Aside from that there's not much I can say I'm afraid. It's just a really solid song that fits the characters. It could easily have gone the joke way and made it into a comical track but instead it went the better way and respected both characters with something that fits their status: an actual threat even if their series like to make them the center of jokes whenever they appear. I do really appreciate how the song doesn't shy away from that more comical side tho: it recognizes the characters' strength but at multiple points it still feels quite joyful, almost comedic which is a nice way to represent that side of the characters without making it too big of a focal point. That aside, I do have one segment of the track that I want to mention above the rest and that is the 2:12-2:33 one. It's the only segment of the song that has a very light but distinct epic feel due to the synth melody and I really like that. It's very light and not heard again in the song but I feel like it's a good thing to imagine in a fight between those two that there'd be one singular absolutely epic segment where both characters are actually showcasing grandiose awe-inspiring power only to then return to their "classic" antics after that. It just makes sense to have a scene like that in the fight and it being transcribed in the song is a great detail in addition to just sounding great. A really nice addition to a very nice song. Overall this track is pretty classic as far as it goes but definitely not for the worst. It makes use of everything it should use and does justice to characters that deserve it all the while sounding great. Really not much else one could ask from a song. Amazing job with this as always.
I don’t think so. Krillin could because of his scaling in Super but Yamcha hasn’t had a fight in a really long time. The only thing he realistically scales above is Saiyan Saga Goku.

If anyone believes that Genos would have a chance against Yamcha, the answer is no. Although Genos has currently demonstrated great feats in the OPM manga, he is currently stuck in his own Level and is not able to improve on his own unless he has Cybernitic improvements. Yamcha, for his part, is much more powerful than Genos, and after the Saiyan saga onwards, the desert bandit is already powerful enough to destroy planet Earth almost without much effort. It is not for nothing that he trained with Kaio-Sama in a small planet where gravity is x10 times greater than that of Earth. It is also worth highlighting Yamcha's arsenal of skills and techniques, which are quite versatile compared to Genos who, although he has very destructive techniques, can only use them one at a time. There is also the fact of experience, strength and above all resistance. It is clear that Yamcha has at least 20 years as a martial arts fighter, not to mention that he has his own fighting style, the art of the Wolf, so there would be no doubt that he could overwhelm Genos. As for Strength, Yamcha has demonstrated feats of strength far superior to Genos, as a basic example let's take his version of the Toei anime as an example where he managed to defeat Recoome who easily humiliated a Vegeta who had received a gigantic Zenkai after his fights Zarbon Transformed. It is clear that taking feats from one version of another is not at all reliable, especially taking into account that it would be considered a composite, but even so in this type of Death Battle everything related to it must be taken to determine a confrontation against someone of the same league. Therefore, it would be considered valid to take this feat for Yamcha. In terms of Stamina and Speed, Yamcha has easily managed to withstand a lot of damage against opponents who would be much superior to Piccolo Daimaku who in the classic DB events the level of threat that that demon would represent would be Demon Level. Yamcha should also have speed Faster than Light since he managed to travel with Tenshinhan, Piccolo and Chaozu the path of the snake who, according to the DBZ manga, is as long as covering a Million Kilometers. Not to mention that at the beginning of the android saga, Yamcha trained for 3 years where he was aware of the threat that the Androids could pose. Yamcha is also resistant enough to withstand a beating that the Cell Jr. were giving him, where according to the Daizenshuu he explains that each mini-cell was as strong as its father in its perfect form, therefore Yamcha's resistance would be classified. like from Planet Level to Big Planet. Although it is very true that Genos has high stamina and also has Type 3 self-sustainability, greater intelligence and a radar that can help him analyze Yamcha's fighting style and counteract it, that will only work for a very short time, in addition to Yamcha Currently In Heroes he received a lot of prominence and we can take as valid his appearances in both the manga and the arcade game. where he can restore his Energy to the maximum and continue fighting. In short, Yamcha would beat 90% of the One Punch Man verse, obviously he couldn't against heavyweights like Garou, Saitama, Blast or even Tatsumaki but it still doesn't take away from the fact that Yamcha is a weakling. If anyone believes that Genos would have a chance against Yamcha, the answer is no.
If you include the filler where Yamcha beats Recoome, then you can go even further and include where Yamcha fights Olibu and another fighter named Gorilla at the same time. Olibu is only slightly weaker than Pikkon (who easily defeated Perfect Cell & Frieza), but he couldn't even touch Yamcha when they trained together, even with another fighter backing him up. That would put Yamcha at or above Super Saiyan 2 Gohan at the end of the Cell saga.
Yamcha survived a beating from Kid Buu in the anime. The same Kid Buu one shot Pikkon, who himself one shot Cell who was stronger then ever before. Yamcha solos

Isn't Yamcha literally a planet buster? Gero confused his power level for Goku's during the android arc, and by the buu saga Yamcha was already much stronger than that. Genos doesn't stand a chance.
According to the Daizenshuu, Yamcha's power level by the Android Saga was past first form Frieza's at 600,000. This would make Yamcha a definite planet buster, and that's not counting any future training such as from the Moro Arc.
I only want this fight to end one way. Genos in an attempt to take Yamcha out, decides to self destruct on him Saibaman style. After a huge explosion we see Yamcha on the ground, doing his iconic pose. The victor is Yamcha, winning in the most pathetic way.
The setup for the battle writes itself. Yamcha thinks Genos is one of Gero's Androids, and Genos assumes Yamcha just wants to spar with him. Hilarity ensues.
I think it would make sense if the threat level name was "Dragon" since Genos can now fight Threat Level Dragon monsters and Yamcha is from Dragon ball
I can see this ending with a fake-out with Genos self-destructing. The smoke clears with Yamcha in his Saibaman pose...only for him to sit up after half a second, proclaim victory, then immediately pass out again.

If anyone believes that Genos would have a chance against Yamcha, the answer is no.
Although Genos has currently demonstrated great feats in the OPM manga, he is currently stuck in his own Level and is not able to improve on his own unless he has Cybernitic improvements.
Yamcha, for his part, is much more powerful than Genos, and after the Saiyan saga onwards, the desert bandit is already powerful enough to destroy planet Earth almost without much effort. It is not for nothing that he trained with Kaio-Sama in a small planet where gravity is x10 times greater than that of Earth.
It is also worth highlighting Yamcha's arsenal of skills and techniques, which are quite versatile compared to Genos who, although he has very destructive techniques, can only use them one at a time.
There is also the fact of experience, strength and above all resistance.

Yamcha survived a beating from Kid Buu in the anime. The same Kid Buu one shot Pikkon, who himself one shot Cell who was stronger then ever before. Yamcha solos

Isn't Yamcha literally a planet buster? Gero confused his power level for Goku's during the android arc, and by the buu saga Yamcha was already much stronger than that. Genos doesn't stand a chance.
According to the Daizenshuu, Yamcha's power level by the Android Saga was past first form Frieza's at 600,000. This would make Yamcha a definite planet buster, and that's not counting any future training such as from the Moro Arc.
