all these old school hip hop stories are ruining my childhood, I used to think these group members were the best of friends when I was a kid in the late 80's early 90's I remember when ice cube left NWA I was so in shock I couldn't even focus in school, for like a week, that's all I could talk about, I thought it was impossible for a group to have problems or break up back then

I met Fresh Kid Ice when I was a kid. Gave me an autographed vinyl of one of their records at the building on 54th and 12th in the city. He and Marquis were the rappers of 2 Live and they definitely should get more credit.

Ghetto Style DJ's were very well know in S.Florida. After they put out Beat Box they signed to Luke Records and dropped Throw that D**k is when Florida started pushing 2Live Crew. Marquis came after all that.
You're only partially right. True Luke was established in Miami as a DJ but no one outside of South Florida knew who he was until after 2 Live. Until the 2nd album he was no more than a "manager"/hypeman
