Absolutely! 100% agree. I used to do that same mistake. For example I love Hailey Bieber's style, but her body type looks nothing like mine. Now I just look at what she's wearing as an inspo and tweak it to fit my body the best.
I’m so glad I found you. I am tired of feeling like I have to lose weight to look like an insta model. I have a big butt, thighs, and little waist and it’s so so hard to find great advice for my body type. Thank you so so much!
I'm not trying to make you feel little or anything but you sound like THE Instagram woman. On my insta feed women usually have tiny waist with biiig bottom and that's the body what many girls are trying to get 🤌🤔🙃
I've only recently realized that I was wearing fashion styles that did not suit my body type at all and I use to wonder why it looked so unflattering and n me, now I am learning to wear pieces that compliments my thick thighs, broad shoulders and my longer neck more👍🏾. Awesome video Thessely, thank you so much for sharing my friend ❤️. Take care and have a wonderful start to your week 🤗💕.
That perfectly explains all my problems related to dressing. Broad shoulders, tiny waist, huge thighs until knee and narrow again. Gosh!!!! Makes it hard to pick an outfit. Will consider your ideas. Thanks.
So glad I found someone Who looks like me 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 thank you so much for your content, I always felt so out of place cause I’m such a tiny person, and struggled with fashion choices, finding this account helps me make better fashion choices and somewhat makes me feel like I’m not the odd one out, there are other people that look like me ❤️
Absolutely! I agree with everything you said. I’m 5’4’’ curvy and it took lots of error to realize everything is not for me. Love watching your channel for reference, you help so much.
hahahha we're a work in progress don't worry girl. And fashion is very personal, so these are just things I don't wear anymore. If you want to wear them, go ahead boo! Don't listen to me hahhaa
Thanks for this upload. A lot of the things you mentioned applies to curvy women shaped like you regardless of height. I’m 5’ 8” and built exactly like you and almost everything you mentioned doesn’t flatter me. Took me a while to realize that not everything was meant for my body type.
Exactly! I was struggling with this too. Sometimes you put something on, but I couldn't quite figure out why the outfit wasn't giving. Glad to hear you feel the same way. Thanks for watching!
You inspired me right now not only to renew my outfits but also change my hairstyle to this fancy one omg it is so stunning! Thanks for the video so far!
I agree with you on everything except for big totes. I prefer the larger totes as they contain all my stuff and also, although I'm petite, I'm a strong "big" woman in my head and I feel like a barbie wannabe when I'm carrying one of those smaller bags (they're the best for an evening out though). Maybe I should look for medium sized totes for day wear.
I recently purchased a dress a size smaller per all of the comments, not realizing my hips would take it up even shorter to a weird midi length between mid calf and ankles and with no split it looked so bad, even though long maxi dresses suit me well lol. Now I get it.
Ok, today is my New Journey birth day for my wardrobe going into 2024🎉. I've thrown out nearly 95% of the clothes in my closet. I was tolerating clothes that clearly didn't make me look my best. I'm trusting the process and starting over. I'm Inverted on the Top and Pear on the Bottom. Ok here we go 🙏🤞
I love your videos. I’ve been really struggling trying to understand what clothes work for me; and now before I buy anything I check you videos first. Thanks!
i so agree with everything you talked about, specially the wide cropped jeans, i can't tell you how many jeans i have cropped to try to get the right length and they never looked right i my size 12 5ft2 frame
All these things i stay away from as well 🙌🏾 love these tips with my legs and torso I need the right proportions accentuated as well lol. Big bags drownnnn me haha! Im 5’2” and had to learn what works for me as well.
Exactly!! I'm glad to hear you relate to these points. That's the beauty of fashion, there's so much out there for every body type. (for some more than others, but still)
Hi~ i saw this video just now and I'm so happy to jump in here. Finally I found someone of my same body type I can get outfit inspiration from. Thank you fkr this video! 😇🥰
I stay away from low ankle straps but never thought about straps that go up the leg being flattering for short cury women. I avoided them too. Ima hv to try a pair
Thank you for that tips :) I actually bought ankle strip sandals with BIG adjustable straps for those hot summer days when nothing else wants to fit. Kind of grandma style. Worn they look better than I thought. I bought that comfort sandals in decent colors similar to my skin color so they can just fit in the outfit and not being the focus. So they don't really crop my legs and they are just fine even with dresses (of course not for visiting an opera, but u know).
I think her tips are more so for her type of body which is more of a pear or hour glass which is beautiful I would say for those of other body type search and dress accordingly ❤️
Absolutely, I clearly state in the video and title, that these things apply to me. I know a lot of ladies with a similar body shape as mine watch my videos, so this will be helpful to them ;)
also, might be controversial but super high platforms, i get feeling tall, i'm 5'2 myself but they do drag us down regardless of how tall we feel. i't not going to stop wearing them but if someone is looking to look taller they def should stay away from chunky platforms
I agree with most things except for wide leg cropped Bermuda shorts and the midi skirt. I find if anything is too long on my body like maxi dresses or maxi shirts they make me look a lot shorter especially if I’m not wearing heels. Where as in the middi or cropped style I look good without heels. With shorts because my hips thighs and calf’s are bigger if I wear short shorts I feel uncomfortable with lots of skin just bursting out from the hem line as apposed to Bermuda over knees, I can hide that extra skin tucked in comfortably!
This all goes to say there’s so much experience to be shared but everyone’s body’s are so different even when they’re similar one thing works for someone but doesn’t for another !
In regard to shorts, I agree Bermuda shoes are terrible. It’s very hard to find just the right length that flatters but doesn’t ride up. I tend to roll up the legs if the fabric allows.
@@ThesselyJuliet i am a petite girl n i love big bags so my bf would say when he see me coming "you and your big" lol that's what he call the bag but i never understand why he refer to the bag as big, but when you said that i start laughing to my self like omg that's what he see the bag first then me lol i honestly never thought of it that way. Thanks for sharing ❤
Great video. I don’t like midi skirts or dresses. It’s like gouchos or capris which never looked good on anyone. Bermuda shorts aren’t for women with curves-lol! Don’t matter your height!!
I get it, wedges make your legs look heavy. I feel the same way as you. You want a shoe that’s chunky but not heavy looking. The chunky sandal is flat yet high. Where the wedge can be deceiving.
How high is high-waisted when it comes to petite women? For me the regular sized high waisted pants sit way above my belly button, even when I am wearing the correct size!
Hi, at 6:10 you mentioned what country you’re originally from. What is the name of the country? My Southern U.S. ear had a hard time understanding lol.
If you don’t mind wearing block heels and dragging pants a bit on floor, low rise can work for curvy & petite. I usually wear a thong that designed to be seen and high rise with V shape. It creates high waisted effect even with low rise.
Love these tips! I think more women need to just focus on how to dress their body well, and less about trends or what celebs/influencers wear,.

I agree with you on the low-rise jeans. When I wear them, they make my hips look even wider and very awkward
yes, they don't flatter me at all. High-rise all day everyday!
