I have the L500 mount and I love it. Plan on getting another one for my property in Northern AZ, the L350

Fantastic video! I’d love to see a followup on how the beam splitter is working. I’d also like to know what camera he’s using, which filters, rotator, auto-focuser, etc. And see some of his photos!

Hi Gary, thanks for your interest! I'm using a Moravian Instruments C5A-100 imaging camera with the matching Moravian EFW-5XL-7-II filter wheel and 50 x 50 mm square Chroma 3 nm LRGBSHO filters. I selected the Optec Gemini rotator/focuser.
The stock Innovations Foresight ONAG XM model was custom modified by John Hayes to work with the larger 55 mm diagonal sensor used by the C5A-100 camera and I'm using the ZWO ASI294MM uncooled camera for guiding. Binned 2x2, this still gives me 4,144 x 2,822, 4.63 micron pixels with a diagonal size of over 23 mm to guide with. Nearly an APS-C sized guiding image!!
Multi star guiding really helps keep the RMS error down so I'm looking forward to seeing what it will do. I'm still working on finishing the software setup but will post some images when I get them and provide a follow-up report on the ONAG.
