Sydney McLaughlin Workout Wednesday

Sydney McLaughlin and the Union Catholic track team got in a workout despite the pouring rain.
The Workout:
4x30m sled pulls
4x30m sprints
2x90m (30m acceleration, 30m cruise, 30m acceleration)
Sydney's 30m sprint times (automatic timing)
3.98 | 3.89 | 3.91 | 3.79 (fastest on the team)

For good reason, too. We tried it once but we ran into problems at doorways. Some people ran into the side while trying to slow down and I whacked my head on top during bounding drills.

Steel Here gymnasium is too small. My school always practices in the halls when it rains because we have hallways that are over 100m in a straight line

Boy, this brings back some memories. I did high school in Watertown, NY. We can see Canada across the St Lawrence River, our record low temperature is 53 below zero, record snowfall for one winter is 174 inches of new fallen snow. So, track season started in these hallways too. I can remember two sprinters side by side at full speed. You could feel the air hit you when they ran by. We did everything. I was 800 meters so I would run 75 laps around the basketball court. I always got someone else to count my laps. I just couldn't focus on my running and count laps too.

though we did it only once indoor my entire year in high school.

My school used to do let us run indoors until our track team stopped doing cuts and gained like 250 kids and can barely even fit on the normal track
