Ruby has made me realise there is more to life then online games, boys and social media. She has made me make a schedule for my moring, going out for walks, studying more and reading more. I want to thank her because she has helped me feel happier with myself. Which is unusual, since im an over thinker and worry what people think about me.
Wishing you the best with your life journey. I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry so much about what others think of you, rather think about what you think of yourself and like you said how you can make yourself happier. Take care 💗
Ruby, can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a video about how you analyze and annotate books, or whatever you do when preparing a book for class. It would mean so much
I just completed the book ' Little women' and it is awesome and incredible to read. And today is a special day for me, finally I am graduated as a English Literature student. Thankyou ruby for all of your serene, beautiful videos. It makes me more productive.
I'm studying for my very last exam EVER in med school and got this notification while I'm taking a 5 minute break from studying! this is the best motivation ever ❤️ I can't watch the whole video now, I'll be back in a few of hours when I'm done studying Pelvic and Head injuries ❤️❤️ edit: thank you so much beautiful people for your sweet kind words! my Surgery exam starts on December 19th, I have 2 paper exams and 2 clinical exams, I shall update this comment when I'm finally done! I hope you all pass your exams and achieve everything you're aspiring to! update: they postponed the exam to September 22nd and 23rd, I don't really know why but I can do it 🍀 update: I did well today! ❤️ only 3 more exams to go
It's so nice to get ahead for the academic year, really helps with my anxiety about struggling during the term. Also I love the antler hairpin!!! Hope everyone reading this has a lovely week ❤️🌸
I love your style and the way you're just... yourself, if that makes sense. I feel like a lot of the time we feel like we need to be more "cool" or "exciting", especially when we watch RUclipsrs. You're obviously not not cool or boring but just a different type of personality that isn't featured as much and it really helps me to see you with being more okay with the quiet, studious parts of myself and finding my own way. As someone who's not from Britain I also appreciate all of the nature shots, I get so much Fernweh! (Also I'm so envious of your cute pencil pot, I keep trying to find something like it!) Now I need to go back to my own term paper. Hope everyone is having a good week xx
I love how excited you are about you are about your studying. So often I fall into the habit of complaining about uni just because it's uni - and because everyone's always complained about anything school-related. You motivate me to see it as an amazing opportunity and appreciate all the things I'm allowed to learn!
Hi Ruby! Fellow English student here from Germany :) Can't wait to watch this as I'm currently doing lots of prep for the next semester as well! So many books I'm looking forward to reading 📚 Sending love ❤
Thank you Ruby for giving me such a deep appreciation for nature. While I am not the type of person to go on walks, I do a lot of outdoor running. Earlier this year my mindset was something like „I go outside to run“ but over the last few month it has shifted towards „I go on a run to be outside“. Running has always given me a sort of mental clarity and I connected this feeling with the physical activity. Now I realized that most of it comes from just being surrounded by trees and grass. This comment might not fit the topic of this video, but since I am so early, chances are higher that you could read it. Anyways, thank you💞
At first I was like "What's a courgette? Oh right, we Americans call it zucchini." It's the same with eggplant vs. aubergine. I find differences in terms for things really amusing.
Watching your videos makes me more productive because it puts me in “Ruby mode” I’ll usually make a tea, light some candles, put on some classical music and settle in with a book or some work or study after watching your video!
Long chatty videos are my favorite! I LOVED today's video, thank you! That oversized cardigan looks so cozy, it's really pretty 🦋 I'd love to see a video where you show how you take your notes and different note taking strategies 📝
If it's not to private, could you do a house tour? I am fascinated by your house and I love the style. If you don't feel like sharing this, I completely understand. Xx
I love how she never fails in motivating me ,once i see her and the videos she does ,i definitely hit the road to do what i have to ,thank you ruby !! You're amazing 😍
Thanks a lot for your videos Ruby, it does motivate me to read more books. I used to read a lot when I was a child. I have stopped going to the library for several years before starting to go back into it a few years ago. I enjoy your productivity, it is so inspiring. Take care and have a great day!
I’m still in school and I’m currently trying to find enough motivation to study past lessons for the new school term and this helped so much, thank you Ruby
Hello Ruby, I just wanted to say that I absolutely ADORE your videos. They have inspired me to study more and I've been inspired to read more books. And yes, this has had its consequences. Most of my peers have bullied me for this, and I was severely depressed. I'm nobody to give a successful 21-year-old like you advice, but I beg you, please ignore the rude people. Don't let them get to you. They are just jealous they aren't as smart/productive as you are, and have got nothing better to do with their time. Just keep doing what you're doing, and don't let them shape ANY bit of who you are. YOU are the artist of your life, so don't give the paintbrush to anybody else. Remember, you've got almost a million fans who love you. So ignore the sad little group of haters. xxx Much love, A 12 year old fan P.S. I really hope you read this!
Ruby inspires me greatly. Anytime I am watching her videos I feel more motivated to focus on my school work. I have some research that I've been avoiding but tomorrow I am going to get straight to work on it! Thanks Ruby!
The cold weather in the U.K. in August is very surprising to me. I am from the Czech Republic and it is high summer here. The temperatures are pretty high (well, not today) and people occupy outdoor swimming pools, river banks and lake sides. So when I see you, Ruby, wearing a jumper, a sweater or a warm jacket (and even a scarf!) - it is a real shock to me. Our countries are not a world apart, and yet, the differences between the weather there and here can be pretty big. Anyways, I love your videos. They are incredibly calming and inspiring, too.
This girl reminds me of harry potter / Hermione granger. Just the way she studies and the way she lives. Her aesthetic gives me harry potter vibes and i love it. Keep going i love those videos
I subscribed to this beautiful girl in my 10-11grade in high school before final exams. Now I have just graduated from uni with my bachelors degree with honours, going to get married soon, but she is here, hasn't changed for a day, just like 5 years ago :)))
This is beautiful to read actually,i just bumped into ur comment and got a will to write this to u ,i wish u the best in your life ahead esp u're getting married ,much love and success ❤
You do more in a day than I do in a week. I really need to crack down on my productivity. I have been doing a lot more reading though and listening to Audible books while I do jigsaw puzzles with my bf for quiet time and it's helping my brain and my happiness so much.
Whenever I don't get the motivation to study or even be productive, I end up here and it somehow makes me motivated to be more efficient regarding my works.
I lived in Germany for two years and was fortunate to travel between studies. My very favorite place to visit was the English countryside. You are so blessed to live there and I look forward to the videos of your garden and surrounding area. Hope you film lots of autumn scenes of your home and the beautiful English countryside.
Hello Ruby ! Yeah, courgettes are the best when they are small because when they are growing in size, they are actually being filled with water and they become tasteless. You could also eat the flowers, they are edible, and you can fill them with cooked and perfumed/spiced rice and lemon juice. I also recommend salty porridge with courgettes, tomatoes, garlic and mustard or soy sauce, it's really good. I was wondering, would you mind making a house tour video before you go back to university ? (or when you will come back your parent's place) because this house looks like it has so many rooms and nice spots to read ! And it looks so cozy and ancient (love the shutters and the way you can open your windows). It really seems to be a dream place to live and you would love to have a video about it. Have a nice day !
I’m starting my masters soon (MSc Children’s Psychological Disorders) and I recently emailed the university asking for the reading list in advance… this is the perfect motivation to actually start the reading 😅
Loved this vlog! we got a bit of everything, and also love getting non fiction book recs through the books you read for your dissertation and your victorian life videos! Hope you have a great new term! ❤️
Thank you Ruby for promoting an Australian classic, ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’ by Joan Lindsay, published in 1967. The 1975 movie version, though slow paced, I highly recommend. Another Australian classic I think you may enjoy is called, ‘My Brilliant Career’ by Miles Franklin (her full name was Stella Maria Sarah Miles Franklin). It was published in 1901 and based on her life. She was 21 years old. There is a 1979 movie version of this book which I also highly recommend. Australia has an annual literary award named after her called, ‘The Miles Franklin Literary Award’. It was first presented in 1957. I didn’t know this, but the first winner was Patrick White for the novel, ‘Voss’. It’s based on the life of the 19th Century Prussian explorer and naturalist Ludwig Leichhardt, who disappeared while on an expedition into the Australian outback. Writing this comment, I feel I’ve learned something too. As always, thank you for your inspiring vlogs 👩🏫📚
Just, in case you want to know, the pumpkin flower’s eatable as well. 😄You can roll them up in a fried mixture, wrap them with the batter and fry them!
Love this video!!! I cannot pick my timetable or see what courses I’m interested in this year until September 9th - which is a shame, because I would delve into the work now if I could. Focusing on clearing up my work space :)
I have been binge watching her videos the past two days. She is such a kind and amazing person but mostly really inspiring and motivating. (I love how she set a timer. I don´t know anybody else who says "please" to google or Alexa XD)
Ruby I saw your post on Instagram saying that Margot passed away. It was such a bad news and I knew the pain when someone whom you care the most ,vanished in front of you!!!😭🥺
Your editing in this is beautiful!! You've come such a long way with production quality and your outlook on things, I'm so proud of you and I'm so happy to have come on this journey with you these past few years (even just as an observer through these videos haha)
I have two bachelor's degrees, one in the Humanities with a Literature Emphasis & one in Mechanical Engineering. It was surprising how much easier the Engineering one was after struggling through all the research & writing I had in my first. That is, although math & physics are very different subjects, many of these productivity routines can help with both (at least for someone of my personality-some people study very differently from others & we all just have to find what works for us)
I am super excited for back to school. I am starting colleg and while I am also nervous because it’s new, it’s a big step that also excites me. And I get to meet new people and learn lots of new things as well as having a new level of independence I haven’t really had before. I’m nearly done with my back to school prep. Done History and law I need to read a street car named desire still- and I am not a classics person and the themes are super heavy. It’s super interesting though just taking me a while. Research is always my favourite part too. I also have a list of extra readings that I’m trying to do (some they’ve suggested and some Are things I just want to read).
