Senegaleses are one of the most open minded and friendly people in the whole Africa. I think you could find alchool in the shops, because of this. They are Muslim yes, but very respectful and open to other religions or beliefs and l think also that was an intercontinental supermarket ( for foreigners, too).
I wish l visited this colourful and joyful country, someday ( this Summer l am going to visit India, God willing😊).
Most expensive city in Africa is Victoria. Seychelles. But Dakar can be considered most expensive on mainland

gosh paramvir. As a indian living in the west whenever I have taken my western friends to India the one thing that unnerves them is the staring they get in India. THey liked india but they did whine a lot about "The look" they got in India. Some of the looks and stares were very very creepy. Without any smiles or warmth but just blank stare that they found intimidating and scary. It happened all over India and they even said India is the country of "the stare". So found it really funny to hear from you that you get angry when someone stares at you..🙂I think we indians are known for the same so forgive the senegalis please.
I dont think foreigners face this problem in tourist destinations like ladakh,goa,himachal,etc..its mostly when they travel to heavily populated places or local towns..but ya it is very weird and creepy...
@@capteagle9 (warning long post) of course its not everywhere but its also not easy to categorize 'starers' by geography either. They tend to be bit everywhere and I just explain it to them as a cultural thing. We don't really discourage kids staring at anything. I myself as a kid growing up in Mumbai would stop and stare at every street shows or anyone new or sometimes even at slum kids or things on in the gutter or if someone from south bombay came to our side. Its cultural I think. Another theory I have and this maybe totally stupid theory is that I feel when I goto temples I am told to always get a 'darshan' of god.. to somehow as if make eyecontact with god and to be seen so wonder as Indian when we see a stranger or a guest or want to connect we just try to make eye contact like we are getting a darshan or their 'audience'. It could be a sublime cultural thing that we ourselved have internalized and hence behave that way. We are not yet bothered about the concept of etiquette and 'manners' as defined by outside cultures.
