Rewatching this as will be in Paris for the first time in a couple of weeks and have to say that this is the best video on RUclips explaining the Seine cruises - great explanation, maps and visuals. Thanks a heap for doing these and all your others which I’m sure will make my time in Paris so much more enjoyable 😊
Awesome video, very helpful… I shared it to my family members who are visiting Paris next month. I have also now subscribed to your channel as we will be in Paris next year. Merci beaucoup 😊
@@paristoptips Yes, thank you, it’s coming true in a few weeks. I lived there briefly in the early 2000. Have been going back every few years but it’s been 4 years since the pandemic. I can’t wait to return to France!
I am going on a family trip and want to know which is the best dinner cruise. Decision is so difficult. Your video is incredible because I now know more options for day and night. Thank you.
I've only done one dinner cruise recently, so I could not compare them all, but the one I did with Bateaux Parisiens was very nice, with excellent food, and a perfect timing for the sparkling Eiffel Tower!
@@paristoptips Ok merci! Also since the cruise departs once every hour, and the sun does not set in juin until nearly 22h, should I wait until 22h if I want to see the city at night on the water?
Hi, Thanks for this very informative video. We will be visiting in September last week. Which boat cruise do you recommend if we want the sunset view and Eiffel tower sparkling. Also, closest to Opera area.
All companies have sunset cruises with view of the sparling Eiffel Tower. The closest to the Opéra would be Vedettes du Pont Neuf : take métro Line 7 to station Pont Neuf.
Hi @paristoptios .. we will be in Paris on 06 & 7th of November staying near rue Lincoln .. which is the closest cruise point & what time slot should we opt for a sunset cruise ?
If we plan to visit in the last week of April and want to experience a boat cruise starts from sunset and ends with Eiffel tower sparkling, kindly advise the timing and the cruise we should book.
Hello, thanks a lot for this very useful information! keep up the good works! by the way which one are you recommend between Bateaux Mouches and Bateaux Parisien? I have 5 people with me and 1 year old that often cry, i prefer if it's not too crowded.
Going to Paris on 28th, want to go for a sunset cruise, which company and what time do you recommend? Can I also bring my 2 month old on board for free?
A sunset cruise or a dinner cruise? This week, the sunset will be between 8:30 and 8:45 PM. So any cruise starting at 8 PM will be perfect. Choose the company with regards to the best location for you: Bateaux Parisiens and Vedettes de Paris start at the Eiffel Tower, Bateaux Mouches at Pont d'Iena, and Vedettes du Pont Neuf from the Pont Neuf. The last two are more easily accessible from a metro station. Kids before 4 years old will not pay...
I chose the Le Calife dinner cruise from 8:45pm until 10:45pm for 5/9. My question is, do you think it's safe for me to take the metro afterwards to my hotel in the 9th arrondisement?
We are in Paris 17-19 August. We were planning to go for evening dinner cruise but seems like they all depart a bit early. Could you please recommend? The Eiffel Tower glittering is a must for us, so I guess should be around 9-10 pm? I also was looking for the open space instead on the deck instead inside but can’t find anything like that :)
When you're in Paris, the sun will set at 9 PM precisely, so the tower might be glittering at 9 and will absolutely be at 10 and 11 PM. With Paris weather, cruises are almost over with tables inside the boat. Some boat offer a terrace where you can stand, but, as we are in France, that's the place where people will go to enjoy a cigarette. Whatever cruise you choose, I would opt for those starting at 8:30 PM. One last thing: In many places along the way, the stands set up for the Olympic opening ceremony will still be there, which, quite honestly, will spoil a lot of the romantic view of Paris you might hope to get!
Thank you so much for your answer, it’s really helpful! I was so hoping Paris will be back to normal on 17th since the Olimpics should end on the 11th. Our whole point was to have the romantic view, maybe we will need to come back 😢
Vedettes du Pont Neuf is the closest from Le Marais for real cruises: www.vedettesdupontneuf.com/home/ Or Batobus Mairie de Paris stop: www.batobus.com/en
@Paris Top Tips do u mean it's close by? I am so confused. I am not sure which cruise to book. Also is it better to go to vedette du pont neuf by taxi or metro?
Well, I don't subscribe to Christianity but I have learnt BC and AD, and I'll continue to use them as for me CE and BCE are hypocritical as they arguably imposes a “Christian” time reckoning on non-Christians under the guise of “Common Era.” I'm writing this as I'm in Thailand, where we are currently in 2567 after Buddha attained parinibbāna. So who's right?

Absolutely do the cruise. They’re much more affordable than you think.

2:12: just to confirm the Bateaux parisiens do not have a person talking the whole time correct? only if you want to listen through app on phone?
Yes, these cruises use an audio-guide that you can have on your smartphone or through a wired system on the lower deck.

Do you have a recommendation for a night cruise that picks up closest to staying in Saint Germain???
The closest to Saint-Germain are the Vedettes du Pont-Neuf.
They also have dinner cruises, called "Paris romantique" starting from the Orsay museum.
