    Any chance you can elaborate and share what you did to cover the area of the frame where you cut off the original rear fender framing? It looks really well done, great looking Shadow by the way!

      I used painters tape to make the cutline. Took my cutoff wheel and chopped it. Then made a cardboard stencil of the hole and traced it onto scrap metal. Welded the cap. I call it "scorpion cut".
      Thanks for watching!

    how close is the tire to your chain? im looking to put a bigger tire on my 600 but im not sure what width wheel to get, i figure i may be able to fit something wider if my wheel is a little slimmer than yours

    • @missioncapable4658
      @missioncapable4658  4 месяца назад +1

      Cant give you the measurements of how close the chain is because I sold the bike. Anything bigger than a 200 tire the chain will touch.

      i’ve found a nice 6” wide wheel i’d like to fit into my bike with a 200 tire. even tho you no longer have it, from what you can remember do you think a wider rear wheel would have fit? only wondering because off of your measurements listed that’s nearly 2.5” of spacers, the chain again is my main concern. T.I.A!

    • @missioncapable4658
      @missioncapable4658  2 месяца назад

      @xandy8258 5.5" is what I used. 6" is going to be real close or could touch. Might need spacers for your sprockets so the chain will clear

    Hi buddy! First of all i want to say one huge THANK YOU for this wonderful video project. This is exactly what i need it. I have Shadow 600 89, beautiful peace, but i want to go next level. So, i have some questions to see if i understood right.
    1 wheel ultima 18x5,5
    42T sprocket by Rebel Gears
    11,5 HD rotor
    HD 2000 softail caliper, Honda Cbr 250 master brake cylinder and 3/4 ear axle.
    Whatis the new length of the machined rear axle?
    Which size is your front rim and tire? I just saw your video with ts bros iron moto under 4 springer end. I bought fat spoke 21x3,5 craftride second hand for 161 euro on ebay. Now i now that if you ride with 21 front (the tire size i bought is 120 70 21) with under 4 than 18x5,5 will fit perfectly and the motor will be straight.
    Let me see what i need for my front conversion
    Moto iron by ts bros Under 4
    Gsx 650 caliper (which year?) with 11.5 rotor
    All Bals 22-1020
    Can you write the part number of the "new bearing on right"?
    Which caliper anchor i need?
    Bro sorry if my post is messed up, but iafter i discovered your videos my adrenaline is flying up to the sky. Im Bulgarian and i wrote in Bulgarian forum every one say that i can build it. Im very happy that you post this videoa and open my eyes and show how to do it right. You are the Best!
    If you have email, please write to me on doveren44@gmail.com
    Best wishes i hope we can stay in contact. I need a few months until i order everything. Now only the small "cheep parts". Best wishes one more time my Shadow Brother! 🎉🎶🍀💪

      I'm glad you liked the video. Yes the parts you listed is correct.
      The 3/4 rear axle was 15" long and was cut to match the honda length.
      The front tire is 90/90/21 rim is 21"x3.5.
      GSX caliper year 08-09.
      I used the bearing that came with the front rim. I dont remember the size or have part number. My front caliper bracker was from fabkevin.com
      (would be easy to get the TC Bros brake kit. caliper, brake bracket, and anchor SKU# 116-0050 left side) make sure to get the set that matches your axle.
      The fat spokes are going to look real cool👍
      I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions brother.

      @@missioncapable4658 thanx buddy for you fast response. Today i already remove fenders, seat, side cover, sissy bar, and cut off the electric. I will order next week a motorcycle lift and than i can remove the front and rear end.
      I thinking to order Springer same as you Under 4 and disc brake kit. The bearing for the stem i already order last night "All Balls". I just want to tell you that your videos is the reason to believe that I can do it myself (only with your help). Thanks buddy. Best wishes and stay healthy and enjoy the 2 wheels.
      By the way i found you on Chopcult 💪🍻

    • @missioncapable4658
      @missioncapable4658  Год назад

      In 2017, parts were around $900. Axle one hour machine work was $100. I welded the brake caliper tab $0. Total was around $1,000

    I have a rat road project with a VLX 600 and let me say one thing: i love your build...
    But i have some questions about the carburators and the gasoline intake... do you use the gasoline bomb or you just put the gas hose direct to the carburators or... make any mod to the carburators?
    I've notice the hyper short hose from the tank to the carbs hahaha

    • @missioncapable4658

      Thanks for the comment.
      The carb has an inline fuel filter. Because of the exhaust pipes and the velocity stack, I had the re jet the carbs.

      You will need to measure, cut, grind and machine your own spacers and axle shaft. Custom bikes take time, money, and patience.
