I'd almost forgotten about CNN. I haven't watched it in over a year. Why would I?

heard a quote the other day on sports radio from jeff gordon regarding an incident where one of the other drivers got irate with a reporter for asking a question that was too personal. “The job of the media is to create entertainment for people to watch and read. We as competitors have to understand that side of it." this is what people with clout think. news is just entertainment. I know he's not really anyone that matters, but I think the belief that news is now just entertainment is rampant.
Ratings would jump up and respect for CNN would increase dramatically if they hired Jon Stewart to replace these guys. That would be so much fun.
Wolf is not so much a robot as he is a sports announcer for the news.

I would tune in an hour a day to watch Cenk spew fire for an hour on CNN!
Its a little misleading to say TYT gets millions of views. They only have about 350,000 subscribers. Don't get me wrong, that's enormous for youtube, but it doesn't compare to the amount of people tuning in to major networks at home. With that being said, I'm glad they are on tv again now. Its great that they can expand their audience.

Wolf Blitzer IS a robot. He never was a human being.
They do it for the same reason that talk radio hosts fudge their numbers. It gives them a 'statistic' to bolster their credibility.
Morgan wasn't even that big in the UK so they kinda screwed up on that one... He was an editor of a rag which hacked into the phones of raped and murdered school girls and he was in a reality tv show... a terrible replacement to the legend that was Larry King.
An extra hour of Blitzer? I'd rather have a fucking root canal...

I used to watch CNN religiously back in the day. The network is now a shadow of what they used to be.
I read the title as that they would put a robot version of Wolf Blitzer. That would have been awesome.
You, know. If they don't want to be Fox and you don't want to be MsNBC or Current, why not bring back the Crossfire style debates? Give both sides a stirring strong debate but without allowing screaming over each other.

This. News should not be entertainment. That being said, CNN does need to grow a pair and start levying their massive resources to do more reporting. Their multi-segment specials and coverage of major world events easily puts their rivals to shame, why they haven't been able to utilize that better is beyond me.
I was disappointed when I saw what this video was about. I was hoping for an actual Wolf Blitzer robot. I would totally watch that show.

I'm subbed to The Onion as well as TYT, and I swear to fuck I thought I was clicking on a new Onion video when I read the headline.
gI'm pretty sure they did a sepment on the # 2 guy drone strike. But more important I thought was when they were talking about double taps and how hundreds of innocent people, men, women and childtren get killed. Hundreds of wrongs do not make one right.

I couldn't disagree more. CNN actually reports real news about real topics, not just who said what on the campaign. I trust CNN more than the other networks.
I love news but when I watch cnn I feel bad for America ,,America don't have a chance with the likes of wolf blitzed and Anderson cooper ,,terrible ! If I owned that company those two would get there walking papers !
Personally I can not stand Wolf Blitzer or anyone who works on any of the mainstream media news channels in America for that matter (CNN, FOX, CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC etc). Mainstream news media is dying and it is dying fast and in my honest opinion the death of mainstream news media as it currently stands today in its overwhelmingly biased and deceptive format can not come quick enough; the sooner the better! Alternative news and the internet is where I get my news, real news without an agenda.
they are one of the best and i support them on youtube and on tyt by paying monthly but i also don't like blindly accepting information. if they really believe they have this many viewers then it just seems like the right thing to do to tell them where they might be mistaken since they are one of my favorite news outlet.

They should actually have robots on the CNN/FOX etc. news. It would increase their profits and reduce the corporate risk. I bet if the corporations could use robots without the audience finding out, they would do it in an instant.

CNN is as serious as ever.
The problem with CNN is that today's society has gone very partisan and CNN is as middle of the road as they get.....which means most people find it boring.
They need to find new blood. Keep the top notch analyst but find new blood to host shows. There are plenty of talented and intelligent people out there, find them.

348 380 subscibers is probably the closest you can get to an accurate number of actual regular viewers. On the other hand, these kind of shows tend to get a lot of views from people who don't subscribe too so it's obviously going to be a bit low. I don't think most people watch every video although the subscribers probably do. There are going to be a lot of occasional views from people who only watch one or two videos about topics relevant to their interests. Also a ton of views of old videos.
