I like the addition of the Zombie noises around 0:45. It really adds to the atmosphere of this remix and the overall eeriness and hopelessness of Ravenholm. Great job! :D

I'm tearing up listening to this... The song really sets the mood for all of hl2. I am so angry at Valve for never making Half-Life 3... Maybe the community can do it together.

He walks off, then suddenly something starts playing on the big screen
( 0:00 ) An incredibly photo-realistic environment is shown, the screen fading out and back in just to show more stunningly real-looking environments, and the last one is City 17, with the exploded citadel.
The screen fades black one last time.
The crowd hears an eerily familiar voice.
( 0:10 ) The G-Man says "Wake up, mister Freeman... See what you've done."
( 0:16 ) A PURPLE HALF LIFE LOGO WITH A 3 APPEARS RIGHT AS THE DROP SOUNDS

If someone ever made a Half-Life 2 remake or movie or something, and revised this scene, I imagine it being Grigori standing atop a mound of gasoline-drenched corpses with zombies climbing toward him on all sides. As he delivers his farewell speech, he takes a lighter out of his pocket, flicks it on, and utters his final sentence. Then he throws the lighter at the foot of the mound, igniting everything standing on it.
As the bonfire grows, and the cries of burning zombies fills the night, Grigori is barely visible in the eye of the inferno, scream-laughing above the bodies of the "freed" . Until a nearby group of gas canisters explode, creating a giant fireball and killing everything in the vicinity.
Absolute cinema.

I have reason to believe Grigori didn't actually die somehow, mainly considering the fact that I still heard shotgun rounds after the fact that he was supposedly engulfed in flames
He lives, this is confirmed by the cancelled half life episode they planned on making called "Ravenholm" in which father Grigori is one of the two main characters- you can find footage of the cancelled project here on youtube

I definitely prefer this over the original version. This version is so much more intense, and I can see it fitting for a more creepier Ravenholm than the one in HL2, kinda like the one in the HL2 Beta.

I love this, but why is there an added note at 0:25? It's not quite in tune with the rest of the piece. Would love an extended version though. That intro beat is great.
