Nie miałem Vivy Zwei na codzień ale kojarzę, że tam bylo dużo gatunków alternatywnej muzyki, poza tym byłem zbyt mały (9-10 lat) klimat tego programu był bardzo mroczny więc trochę się go bałem. Potem jak ojciec kupił cyfrę+, w 2005 roku wrzucili MTV2, praktycznie słuchałem go codziennie, gatunkowo bardzo podobny. Żałuję że nie zdążyłem bardziej poznać Vivy 2 :(
I had this in Finland. Loved it way more than MTV even if everything didn't always compute. Learned about german music as weel. A great music channel. So sad it's gone.
This channel marked my youth and introduced me to fantastic bands that, at the time, I would have had no other way of knowing. The only thing on tv that gets even remotely close to the fantastic musical selection of Viva2 is the Chillout program at VH1 but, obviously, it's nothing compared to 24hrs, 7 days a week of pure musical bliss. It makes me really sad to watch this video and think back of all the great moments I had watching this channel, may it rest in peace.
I've been watching VIVA and espacially VIVA zwei channels in Russia during my school years and got realy huge inspiration by its creativity and perfect taste of music. Thank you VIVA TV.

Der Spot startet mit "All I need is a chance." Wie passend... Ich kann mich nur sehr dunkel an diesen Sender erinnern. Leider. Ich weiß nur noch, wie ich bei den Spots und Teasern Angst bekommen habe. Wenn ich mir jetzt die Clips auf RUclips anschaue, dann denke ich mir, wie schade das ist, dass ich diesen Sender nicht als Jugendlicher gucken durfte. 2step ist 'ne Sendung, die mich weghaut. Sowas... Wow. Er hätte weiterleben sollen.
Damals als ich jung war, hatte ich Angst vor 9Live gehabt. Weil das war so: Es war dort 2 Moderator in sendung, und der eine hatte schwarze Mund gehabt und er auch ihr Mund voll aufgemacht hat und hat gesagt das seine Mund fast schwarz wird. Oh gott war das so verstörend und habe es sofort auf nächste Programm weiter geschaltet, da ich Angst hatte das ich selber Schwarze Mund bekommen werde wenn ich 9Live schauen obwohl das in wahrheit unmöglich ist. Sowas mit Schwarze Mund war das glaub ich so im jahr 2004 oder 2003.
What a channel this was. So important in shaping my music taste. Mixery Raw Deluxe, Wordcup and Supreme were my go-to shows for hiphop. E-beats, 2step etc. for electronic music. Well curated.
I loved how Zwei had its own identity, When watching with its music and logo design and presentation, It was like how can this be a viva station and where are the triangles that make the logo. No.. just a big cross with Zwei and some great music.. Ok sure, But it all worked well. Watched breifly for a few years in the UK before switching to sky digital in 2002,
it changed my music taste completly and motivated to make my own music.. and that german music doesnt end on great classic and shitty folksmusik.. or disko but offers so much more.. and of coz not only german music:>

Ich muss dir eine sehr Traurige Nachrichten mitteilen: Auch der Hauptsender von Viva wurde seit 31.Dezember 2018 um 14:00 Uhr komplett eingestellt, damit gibt es Viva jetzt überhaupt nicht mehr. Dafür kann man MTV wieder Kostenlos empfangen.

Because this was not Mainstream. They wanted to show that a non Mainstream channel can survive. Unfortunately they were wrong. The channel made such a big loss that it would have died already way earlier if they had not got support from the main channel. A pure non Mainstream music channel is just too expensive for TV and will (probably) never come back ever again. Im glad we all have the internet as a place for non Mainsteam stuff at least.

Ne nach der Comedy Central wurde dann zur Nick JR Channel ersetzt und damit man nicht mehr Frei empfangen kann wurde es dann als PayTV eingeschränkt.
