I used to fly...(the innocence of childhood.... Now lost as we are socialized and become self-reflective adults.) But now I fall down...(the awkwardness of adolescence/young adulthood, now filled with self-doubt.) I can't tell my boyfriend...(The sad inaccessibility of emotionally detached men--also victims of the wretched patriarchy and all its deformations of our humanity). And the voice...that voice. Ethereal breathless, stripped down to the absolute minimum, to convey unimaginable vulnerability. It's a song for all of us, girls and boys, women and men. All victims of sn inhuman system that deforms our essence as humans.
