I read that Laurence Olivier was a little miffed at getting third billing after two Americans, one of them an ex-circus acrobat. But then, he later recovered his composure and did "Inchon."
Laurence Olivier talks about this in his auto bio. Says he had nothing to offer. He was kaput from marital stress and couldn't even remember Butts name. Kept calling him Kirk. Page 226 in Confessions Of An Actor. Vivian was really driving him nuts.
The Devil's Disciple is an 1897 play written by Irish dramatist George Bernard Shaw. Not a novel--a play. Where and how is the term "socialist" apropos?

Great movie! My favorite Lancaster and Douglas film. Simply outstanding! And, Mr. Olivier was debonair as always.
loved the speech by Kirk Douglas about the Devil

Phenomenal movie! Olivier as Burgoyne was masterful. Douglas and Lancaster! Worth the time!
This remarkable film was on TCM today. It was more than "a little rich."
You can tell that from the trailer.
I watched it September 2021- Fabulous film 🥇
Brilliant cast 👏 Watching because of Laurence Olivier 💜

RIP Kirk Douglas 1916 2020
We're long past that stage.
Where is the complete movie?
Tcm
Young Kirk Douglas reminds me of Matthew McConoughay
"A hot cup of tea" says Lancaster in the film, hmmm tea had yet to be discovered in Europe & America. Ale or water with the latter to be avoided.
Solo estoy aquí por el trabajo de español
i liked the video
