They are built in china in a factory ford doesn’t even own. They share the same platform as a ford escape(does not have a great record). Worse yet they use the 2L ecoboost which has never been a good power plant. It has had terrible problems like cylinder sleeve failures head gasket failures, a weird condition where it goes into limp mode because it thinks it’s overheating when it’s not. What’s really fun about the last one is that ford put out a TSB acknowledging the issue but also stating that they don’t know why it’s happening and aren’t going to try to figure it out. The engine has been redesigned since then but seeing how that engine and its 3 cylinder cousin have performed in the escape it doesn’t sound like it was for the better. What makes it really a shame is that it’s a great looking vehicle with a great interior. I’m not a fan of the giant screen but that’s just me. Too bad beauty is only skin deep.

The current problem some are having with the new one is the engine locking up due to the high-pressure injector tip failing and cracking, allowing excessive fuel into the engine.. hydro-locking it. And this affects about 6600 of them with build dates from early October 2023- late February 2024.

I’ve been driving Lincoln Nauts newest models for the last 4 years.. since I was 25, plus I look younger then my age people think I’m like 22-23 I’m damn near 30… And let me tell you, the looks older folks specifically, but some people in general give me on red lights/stops/etc when they see me they look like they seeing big foot.. I can feel them dragging me out the car from the way they see me lol

My mom got this car a few months ago and she loves it ! Only issue is some technology issues with the screens, but overall it looks great and drives smooth. She got the hybrid version too which gets solid mileage

The messed up thing is they kept the sedan in China. They renamed the MKZ to Zephyr and it was the first model with the new facelift and this wrap around screen. This Nautilus is Chinese made too, btw. They could bring it over to the US just like the Nautilus if Lincoln/Ford wanted.

Chinese hand tools have always been known as second rate. iPhones at Foxconn were made of good quality only because the steps were broken down to the simplest elements and there were supervisors from Foxconn/Apple all along the line to assure quality. That is the exception to the rule. Read a book by Paul Midler-“Poorly Made in China. An Insiders Account” to get a sense of how things really work there and why so many companies have given up on manufacturing there and moved out.

I live in Michigan, and I saw this car last year before the public knew about it at the Ford Development Area . It's based on the Chinese version of the Edge. Sadly, we won't be getting an Edge version of this.
They 10/10 my parents got the nautalus, and the Corsair, very reliable, Lincon dealership also dishes out full warranties also so any problems even an oil change Lincon will come to your house drop off a loaner and take your car. I’m falling in love with them to the point I may get one if it has a rear or awd option
