The equalizer works great if you know how to tweak it. Highs on these are recessed. That's how it's tuned by default. But it's wrong to say that nothing happens when you tweak the highs. It improves a lot but it's not pronounced. Bass and mids are a bit forward. But the driver is very high quality. You can mess with the in-app EQ and you get no distortion at high volumes. Great hi-res headphones that can go toe-to-to with Sony, Edifier, or Soundcore. Best value.
