Only things extra I would have liked to have seen is. Some of the kit in action and a small yet very important bit of kit which is the stick! Great Job, In my first full season in the kit (as was out through injury and bubba no 2 being born!) Loving the kit, the rebound is ace, always room for improvements but damn right spot on for me!!

This is my second season using the GCP01 range; it's the fourth different set of kit I've had. And it is by far the best. So - the (few) less positive aspects: the foam on the back of my left hand glove did rip quite quickly, so I have to tape it up; the lower strap on my right legguard comes loose far too quickly. Finally, I do still have some difficulties with the toe protection on the right kicker. I did visit their old factory, and the kicker template was based on my actual hockey boot, nevertheless I still do have some problems with my big toe and outer edge of right foot being exposed. Some times. The pluses: it is light. The protection level is superb. Considering the width of the legguards, and my lack of natural ability (I'm lower league third team level) and technique, these pads are the first I've worn which have NEVER twisted. The rebound of the kickers is second-to-none. Likewise with the gloves - personally I'd prefer no finger holes at all (I previously used TK1 stuff, and found the way the gloves fitted to be slightly better) - but in terms of protection and rebound - again, second to none. Highly recommended kit; the few niggles I have definitely don't deter me from wearing it, and when the time comes to replace I strongly suspect I'll be straight back to Monarch; apart from the occasional ding on the big toe, I generally feel extremely safe and well protected, and am able to achieve clearances that were quite simply beyond me in the past. Good stuff.

Hi Darren Bane, thank you for your comments regarding our GCP01 range. If you were able to, we would be delighted if you could visit us at our new factory in Bromsgrove to look at the issues raised. Alternatively if you send your glove back we are able to make repairs and send back to you within 48 hours of return.

Hi. Cheltenham was reachable, Bromsgrove less so. Made some adjustments Sat, and seem to have resolved kicker/toe issue. Glove certainly usable (but thanks for offer - trouble is, with training and match days, I run the risk of being without it if I post it, so I'll make do). Not sure what, if anything, I can do about lower legguard strap coming loose; it happened again on Sat - not enough to seriously impair performance, but I was very conscious of it.

Hi Jamie. Wow. That would be great! I don't like wrapping tape around it on matchdays if I can help it (and if I can remember my tape!!!). I'll get in touch later. Cheers.
