Without Dawn's voice, it just doesn't work. They sound their best like this, with all four original members. Great live singing!!! Cindy's light vocals, Maxine's soulful lower vocals, Terry's harmonies, and Dawn's distinct high voice. It's a great mix of vocals!!
Not exactly. It's Maxine. When they became EV3, the EV harmony was still there. Now with the addition of Rhona, they sound like a totally different group. It was the same when Amanda Cole was with them. Between Cindy, Dawn and Terry, they all interchanged the high (soprano) harmonies from time to time, and Terry and Dawn often sounded similar (Listen to Terry follow Dawn on Part of Me, and many other recordings). Dawn even sounds like Terry singing "My Lovin' in this performance. Maxine was the key sound of their harmony because she was always the bottom- full, well rounded anchor with her low, sultry alto.
@@reginaldrobinson4726 I guess we'll have to disagree. Vocally, Cindy is the weakest. They could lose her and not lose much. Terry, Max, and Dawn sound the best together. In fact, I think "Too Gone, Too Long" would have been a bigger hit with Dawn singing the first verse instead of Cindy's boring, weak vocals. Terry's big note at the end and Max's sultry bridge were great, but Cindy just couldn't carry the big power ballad. Sad that Dawn left and Dawn is a bit toxic, but her vocals are wonderful from "Don't Let Go" to "Giving him Something.." to the hook/pre-chorus on "My Loving."
They are all necessary and Dawn isn’t toxic she smartened up to the business it’s a shame Cindy and Terry think the little money they make is great they aren’t millionaires but should be
@@cantor7723 I don't know... I mean few singers and walk, sway And hit them high notes like Cindy. They all get my vote, this is the best EV lineup 💯😁💃🎶
The first time I saw them at BB King's they opened the show the same way and when they hit that stage with "Love Don't Love You" WITH a band, it was a WRAP! Phenomenal and flawless! Love these women...oh by the way, great footage
The first song “Does Anybody Hear Me” has ridiculous harmony. It’s always crazy when they try to compare Destiny Or Xscape to them. No harmonic comparison.
I love En Vogue period! They always deliver doesn't matter if it's the original line or just Cindy, Terry and Rona. These sistas are vocally magnificent! The Bar has been set!
Everyone keeps saying the crowd is dead but maybe they have respect aren’t screaming the whole damn time and actually enjoying the show and having their girls back in stage I hate performances where everyone is just holler in like enjoy the moment scream when you can but enjoy the show
I thought the Three Degrres were easily the best female group ever But, Envogue put that misconception to rest. All hail the Queen(s) ! Al Thompson, Toronto Dont you know!!
The Three Degrees really? They were good but they don't compare to The Emotions. In my book it's The Emotions, En Vogue and then all the rest in whatever order.
