- I started this when Jimmy Buffet passed away. His music was a feeling and peaceful much like the feeling the Bears bring to me. He was a legend for that so I included some Brooks legends of years past that I never got to enjoy live on cam. Just my favorite song by him with some Bear footage, hopefully you enjoy and it brings you a peaceful feeling. Don't forget to visit katmaiconservancy.org to shop or donate! Sorry all, big mistake while making video, the "89 Backpack clip" is NOT 89, I should of realized by the year of clip I found when researching, 89 is much older. That is a "Baby Backpack" but not THE Backpack. Thanks Deb (GA Bear) for the help! 89 Backpack did have the same behavior while a cub but not in that clip unfortunately. Sorry for mistake! ❤

I enjoyed this short reel and it was very charming and a whoot to see all of the bears characterisation just doing their own thing,or like the one bear that was completely ready for a nap.😉
Loved every moment of it. Love the old music sound. I was so excited when I first got the notification that Otis has arrived at Brooks Falls. I am late by 2 weeks I watched and perhaps I was so entranced by the bears and Jimmy Buffet that I forgot to comment. Oh the music fits the brown bears drifting on the river, catching salmon and sometimes smuggling a fish.
What a beautiful video tribute to Jimmy Buffet and the bears! Just what we need at the end of bear season 2023. Thank you Geo! 🤗🐻

This is so great to watch. Diver had to be as fat as 747 and as tall as 856. He also lived to 35. I missed 410 so much. 32 after 409 and 410/fat bears parade was one of my favorites. Thank you so much!!

This is Beautiful....
I've been watching for two years. This was so awesome to be able to see the legends, the ones that I heard about, but never got to see. Backpack was so adorable. Guess I see where he got his name, lol. Was 410 Beadnose's brother? He was humongous! So cool to see the three of them all together. And it was wonderful to see Otis, young and roly poly. ❤ I loved this! Thanks so much. 😊
410 was one of the largest Females to visit the falls. This is so,so beautiful. As a newcomer to the cams for the last 2 months, I appreciate seeing footage of bears from past years. I guess I know how Backpack got his nickname!!😊 Did Holly ride him around like that a lot?
Quite a bit from my understanding due to a paw injury that he eventually fully recovered from. It was Holly's first known liter which is even more impressive! Just to cute how he would ride her back, there's other footage of the same from that season 🥰
