Glad you're trying to produce this complex genre! Sound selection is key especially when layering. If you are layering high-quality basses/atmospheres (whether you've made them or not) it's like a shortcut into a more professional sound. Also reference other tracks, listen to how they arrange their drop, and then put your own spin on it!
