I've just gotten into emulation on my shield TV and this looks like a worthwhile addition, thanks for looking into it!
Been wanting a simple frontend for my Shield TV for a while now, thanks!
One of the best on Android, bought and I love it. So easy to set up
Got it immediately, been looking for a good front end for my S10+, this is brilliant and well worth the £5. I have a bixby routine set up to start the reset app as soon as it recognises my controller connected..works great in dex mode too
How you do tht
I am so glad you put these videos out. Gives all of us better alternatives for front ends that are out there and how to set them up.
Thanks man! This is awesome! Love the simple UI and how clean it looks! Worth the $5 bucks! Thanks again
Just purchased.... AMAZING! Exactly what I was looking for . Thank you again ETA PRIME
Iv been asking for sooo long lol thanks for doing it ETA
I love this frontend. Thanks for the presenting ETA.
You have been a terrific resource for me as I get started in retro-gaming. Thank you for all your hard work; it really shows in the polish of your videos! I really like reset front end interface. I have one question though. What system should I select if I want to include old arcade games that run in Retroarcb or Mamd? Please keep the reviews and tutorials coming.
Thanks for the heads up on this, looks great - android needed something like this.
i am surprised that you did a video the same time i was happen to be looking at this front end. thank you for the video . i feel even more confident in getting it now.
I’ve been looking for something like this for years. Looks good and works well!
Looks amazing. Definitely grabbing this once my Odin arrives.
Yes!! This is worth your money!!! I found this recently after my rasp pi 2 finally gave up on me and realized it might be a while until I find another Nvidia shield. I started to make my own but this is a worthy frontend for those of us who just wanna play games without digging through junk
I've been using arc browser which is a pretty great front end but i just got this because i like the UI better and looks more customized and i like the video demos! Nice!
That is a nice front end. Nice to see more options out there.
This is great.. Patiently waiting for a VR version of this to install on standalone Oculus Quest. This works, but it runs in a smaller flat screen on on Quest.
Well impressed with this, thanks for the video, keep the brilliant work up
Very nice to see a user friendly front end
Damn.. this looks good, thanks for sharing buddy !
EDIT - Shared this video in my community post ! 😄
Package from CHI-NA! 😋😋😋😋
I don't need to fork out loads of dosh on a dreamcast. This is a much better way.
Also looks really crisp and smooth so will definitely be looking into this. Great video!
This is pretty cool. Since I'm severely back logged on my games for present platforms I would luv to setup a front end and make it all fancy for my gamecube and snes and such but I don't see it rn. But I like these fun front end vids thanks ETA.
I've been using Launchbox on my Nvidia Shield TV. I was unable to select my external HDD to be the location of downloaded images, which forced me to use one of my usb ports as an extended storage for the system.
As soon as i saw the option for that in your video i knew i would be buying this.
This video is so funny to me. The main reason i bought the tab s6 was because of you stating that it's able to play GameCube games. I just got my tablet yesterday and you just pop up with this video using a tab s6. I hope you can make more videos on the tab s6 capabilities and improvements. I can say you made my life less boring. Your a great reviewer.
Just right on time! Retroarch is stressing!🙃 I love the tab set up and also the vids bro! Keep it up Prime👍🏽
You just have to play with it and get use to it.
@@retiredtidepodeater3339 ok appreciate it because I'm just starting out
Well, you still need setup your retroarch, this just a front end not an emulator
Love it! Thanks for sharing! I'll get this app!
Your able to add your own RUclips video links for each game, I set it up for every game and it was so worth it
@Liberalism is a Cult stream
Amazing I bought the other one similar to this forgot it's name this looks super kl Wil be buying it. Great video thanks.
Great video, Estimated Time of Arrival Prime!
This is awesome 🙌 for someone who is super into emulator
Love it this is great thanks for suggesting
Awesome video ETA PRIME 👍👍
I'm going to try this later on my Chromebook. I've been running retroarch for Android on my HP X360 14 Chromebook with an 8th gen i3 u series processor and 8gb ram. Performance has been fantastic up to PS1, excluding N64, which is choppy as hell. The only available core seems to be parallel. I know the system is capable of running N64 great however, because the standalone M64Plus FZ emulator runs them great. I'd just prefer to use one interface. This could solve that problem, although I heard this is an update to the parallel core today so I might try updating it and giving it another go in retroarch. Thanks for the vids, keep them coming! Hoping to snag an Odroid Go black edition later this month ;)
Put that front end onto that awesome TV box you reviewed before!
Thanks for this video, I've been looking for a frontend. Besides this one, are there any other recommendations?
What a beautiful setup
I like how you showcase apps like this, I purchased after the video
Is it on the Mobilism forums, though?
I'll have to test this on my Sony Android TV.
I like your contents. Kudos to you.
I was hoping you would do this!!
Way better than launchbox for Android. I love LB for PC but the Android version is lacking. This is exactly what a front end for Android should be.
I totally agree, with this on the market now, LaunchBox is going to have to step up development.
Android Launchbox is dead.
Launchbox already announced they are stopping development on Android based on issue with the way v11 of android impacts the ability for front ends to run other roms, or something like that.
Agreed I paid for launch box this looks way better going to buy this.
@@chazer793 what about ppl who paid for there shitty app?
Great vid will be downloading the app
I've been using reset for almost a month now and love it. Funnily enough I watched a video from I believe the developer of the app and he mentioned that he watches ETA prime
Thanks! Means a lot that RESET is working out for you! Yeah, if it weren't for ETA Prime I wouldn't have gotten into frontends on Android a couple of years back, and I wouldn't have been inspired to create a new frontend.
@@RESETCollection does this front-end support using certain games/roms with certain emulators? For instance I use mame roms with retroarch and some roms require certain cores to work
@@divebomb1000 You can change which emulator/core is used for each game. Just go the a game's menu > Set emulator 👍
@@RESETCollection Hi, one concern is as we are scaping ROM folders, are you logging this anywhere e.g. IP and content of what that IP has ? Just checking on privacy
@@mattyduknextgen Hello! Nope, the RESET app is not logging IP. The only info I receive is anonymous info on device models when there is a crash, as well as a report where the crash happened in the RESET code. Hope this alleviates any concerns! Let me know if you have any other questions 👍
Sup man. cool videos apreciate all you do.quick question you mean to tell me if I purchase this app I could those games without running emulator and stuff?
Wow I've never seen anything that looks like this that looks absolutely amazing that you I looked who is God the descriptions of everything is good the pictures is really it looks dope it looks like something. Is what would be perfect if there was like some type of little machine that could play basically all these games and the UI look like that like looking at it on but I don't know if it's the iPad or it's something I'm not too sure what is but it looks great
This works great and it's fun
It's also really pretty on the chrome os on the big screen!
An optional gallery/grid view would be great for large collections.
Perfect for my sheild TV
It looks great definitely worth a try, to get everything organized. Do you know if Citra is supported? I downloaded the apk so...
Great video bro I've been using reset since last year what emulator should you recommend for using wii, GameCube and ps2 games. thanks
ETA are you really in Alaska? Just curious, loved Alaska!
This looks great. I've been thinking about building an Android retro gaming machine. Assuming hardware is equal, which OS is better for emulation? Android or Linux?
O melhor frontend para android box tv!!!!
Definitely my favorite front end of them all, my only small complaints are that we are still waiting on the Dolphin MMJ fix (Reset won't detect save states when loading GameCube/Wii games) and an issue with FPSE'S upscaling option, it would seem the resolution gets messed up while this option is on and while loading PS1 games from reset. Otherwise hands down this is the best Android frontend ever released
Hi, new subscriber :) is the galaxy tab s6 good for emulation? How long does the battery last, is it prone to over heating? Thinking of buying one
Beautiful frontend. I’d like to think that $5 your paying is for the art itself. It’s an eye-candy.
Can you make a tutorial for remapping a controllar & adding virtual buttons for Android
I have been using ARC the past couple years, but this looks nice. Are you able to connect to ROMS stored on a NAS or SMB shared drive like you can with ARC? BTW ARC browser is STILL Active, just heard back from them
Yes you can.
What's arc sorry don't think I have heard off that one. I have launch box just bought this.
Nope. Just tried. Crashed.
And just to let you know that ARC browser is the only Frontend that you can setup amiga cd32 to its emulator cause to do it you half to make a uae file and this one will not read them . just keep that in mind before buying
Yo, good lookin out!
I just grabbed a Razer Junglecat so I'm excited to get into some more gaming options on my phone. GTA3 can only entertain me for so long..
Yooooooooo this is awesome instead of download emulator games I can download this for the Rog phone 3 man awesome man🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯😮😮😮😮😮😮😯😯😯😯😲😲😲😲😲👍👍👍👍!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice looking frontend but im gonna stick with Dig, at least on my phone the customisable themes and ease of use are what keeps me using it although I might put this on my shield TV as dig on my android TV isn't quite ideal
awesome stuff.. great find.. I Presume it's a one off purchase that can used on all your Android devices?
For sure! Purchase once, use on all of your devices that are logged in to the account you used to purchase! You'll never have to purchase anything again, never see an ad, never see a donate button, and you'll keep getting all updates and new features that come out. You also can also use RESET without being connected to the internet.
It also should be sharable on family accounts (but I've never tested this myself).
Thanks, and take care!
how do you manage your save data? do you have separate saves per device or do you sync on cloud or something?
ETA prime, could you review the new models of the Amazon fire8 tabletthe one with 3gb ram :)
As someone who also has a ridiculous number of devices for playing retro games, I really want an easy way to synchronize saves across multiple devices. (across platforms would be great, but even across android devices would be a big win)
I'd love to know which emulator is the best for each system that this frontend supports
The best cores are the one in Retroarch.
GenesisPLusGX (MD,MS)
MGBA (GBA/GB/GBC)
Mupen64+ (N64)
NesMessen (NES)
SNES Higan (SNES)
BeetlePCE (TurboGrafx/PCE)
PSXBeetleHW (PS1)
FinalBurnNeo (NeoGeo/CPS)
MAME (for other Arcade game)
Reicast (Atomiswave/Dreamcast)
Alternate would be ReDream stand alone.
@@zZiL341yRj736 thanks for this list I am very new to retro arch just bought this as it looks amazing. Any videos for newbies to retro arch you know.
Bought reset collection and it is great. In this video his games on Redream start instantly using reset collection but in mine, it takes you to Redream without starting automatically. I think since Redream was updated something has changed.
Will try it, using DIG frontend on android and it's great too.
Which is better?
@@SRC267 Don't know. I am very happy with DIG (I have paid for full/pro ver after trying it for free, and basically free ver will be good enough for many ppl). Reset does not offer the free version or possibility to try before you buy so... just NO... If it's good I would pay for it gladly, but I refuse to support developer who does NOT offer free demo.
wow looks nice
I Like it Looks Good...
Is it better then RetroX?
This is great
I'm planning to upgrade to the s6 tablet and s20 so would this be good for both if I want to do emulation and learn? I'm saving up at the minute though lol
@ ETA Prime, my son and I have been using "DIG" app on the Google Play Store for sometime now for our Frontend which is also super easy to set up without hours wasted customizing. Just wanted to inform you..... "And like always, thanks for your video".
This or Arc browser? What is your choice?
Hey can you do a tutorial on how to setup the n64 emulation to work with a xbox one controller?
I use a NEKTEK OTG Cable, a pair of Corsair HS Headphones and my Xbox 360 Controller along with my frontend being "DIG" which is free and identical like Launchbox
Reset Collection is the BEST front end for Android, now that Launch Box decided to pull out over a month ago. So many customizeable options & the developer is VERY responsive. Support Reset!!!
Will we see Kodi's built-in retro gaming features reviewd?
I use hyperspin for nvidia shield tv its great
Great looking displays but for the android device such as firetv it won’t let you use external hdd for cover art snap n such which is terrible because firetv has so little space I’m in the process of trying to (jailbreak) an external thanks to a Troy point tutorial and I’m not sure if that will help but external usage would’ve been really a great choice
So my question is, would I be better off going with this, or the paid version of launchbox?
Looks like a nice frontend for Android, I'd even think itd be a nice frontend ported over to the PC
Hi ETA, have you try DIG Frontend for android?, is a very good one and the community is great
If you change resolution and controller settings in the emulator does it save for every time you use that emulator? Or do the settings in the front end override them?
Whats your setup for gamecube games? I'm trying on my Pixel 3 and 4.
Hmm, Reset seems okay, I might give it a try but I'd hope for some more customization.
Personally I like Dig (or "Dig - Emulator Front-End" easier to search) on android a good lot.
Free to use with a selection of features to pick from for free or unlock em all for a fee.
I like to use the widget feature a lot to place boxarts on my homescreen. I highly suggest it.
Rest vs dig we need that video
What screen protector is that? I just ordered a Tab S6.
Eta you should look at dig. Its my favorite frontend and I think its unmatched in terms of polished looks once its set up
I agree, this one looks good but DIG just takes the cake, been asking him for years to take a look at it and for some reason I think he doesn’t like it 😅 DIG auto scrapes all and has some serious user friendly settings, its been around for so long its just so polished.
He already made a Dig video.
Will it load up ur Retroarch configuration files also?
This app was totally worth 4 dollars it's amazing!!
Nice
What controller are you using for the tablet
Just bought this, and it's the easiest frontend I have used. Just like the video says, it's totally worth 5 bucks.
It's amazing that I have galaxy fold 2 yet when trying to play arcade games I just get blank screen on reset and dig yet I have downloaded all the emulators for arcade games so can't think what else I can do
This thing looks great for my old OUYA!!! Will give it a shot someday!!!
Holy cow you still have one of those??
Let us know if it works ...I would like to try it on mine lol
Does it support Dolphin MMJ and MMj mod version?
Excelente!!!
