This makes me feel old even thou I’m getting old. Brought back a lot of child hood memories. I haven’t been to six flags since high school .
Rush Street Flyer was fun, it wasn’t anything too amazing but it was good...
Tom's Twister was one of my favorite rides ever!
I loved the Scooby doo ride, than when I heard that they removed it for Justic League I was pretty upset, also the ride before fireball, my mom loved that ride cause her and her grandma would ride that together so much when she was younger
I was upset about it being replaced by the Justice ride to until I rode the Justice ride and then it was like holy crap this is actually pretty
I'm still salty about Justice League, it was pretty much a direct downgrade imo
This actually gives me chills because of the music

What about the ride that looked like a space shuttle that got the axe to add a superloop
I was born in 1972, as a kid seems like we went to six flags at least once every year or so, I remember and loved the Time Tunnel, I remember the Sports car rides vaguely, my dad had an old 8mm camera and to this day I still have clips of the sports cars, the Sky way, moon cars, kiddy airplans, log flume, the kiddie coaster, shows being preformed, ect all from the mid 70's to the 80's. I remember the Buccaneer Ride, and the Jet Scream well, and vaguely the Mississippi Adventure. The Sky Chuter, we always called it the Parachute Ride, I remember it quite well, rode it once or twice. Remember going into the Haunted House around Halloween once.. sometime in the 80's. I remember the old King Mine Coaster when it was on the first track, which was so much better, we rode that thing so many times, I was there the day before they opened the stand up coaster on the track next to it. They were doing test runs on it. I never go to ride it thou. I was in Junior High School in 88 and me and my girl friend rode The Condor... I probably rode most of the early rides as a young kid but don't really have much memory of them. The toms twister was almost always broke down.
River king mine train is still there and operating.

Jet Scream was not replaced by Ninja. Condor came afterwards for 1 year (1989) To prepare for Ninja. I remember this like it was yesterday. Ninjas Red Tracks were in the parking lot towards the end of the 1988 season. Jet Screams ride area became Tremors Dance club/Carrot Club until Batman came in 1995 which was built on the same ride area as the Jet Scream.
1988...... I was in junior high school and rode it with my girl friend in 1988.
Castaway kids and on is how I remember Six Flags. The ones before my time. Honestly the last time I went there I still remember Toms Twister being there lol
If you look closely at the River King Mine Train track you can see the red paint from the Rail Blazer peeking through in places.
i miss the bumper cars and rush street flyer the most. highland fling was another favorite.

@@chechelgbt2053 throughout RUclips you can find videos of castaway kids but more videos of what it was like Time tunnel or Scooby-Doo. Am I weird because I loved the smell in it🤷

This video brings back many many memories. I miss mo mo and the bumper cars the most. Rush St. Was fun also. Jetscream was my first ever steal coaster. There are problably some more currents rides at the park they can replace with new generation style rides...kinda like passing the torch

The Powder Keg at 7:39 is a roller coaster at Silver Dollar City. Both parks are in Missouri so I understand the mix up.
Thanks for putting together. My family used to stop at SF in the mid 70's on the way to AR to visit relatives (kin folk).
I live in Missouri and I live in 3138 East Romaine Creek Road, but my son will like Saint Louis/St. Louis and live my house. I will take my son back to his grandparents' house in Saint Louis/St. Louis. My son went to Six Flags St. Louis, Silver Dollar City, St. Louis Incredible Pizza Company and SeaWorld Orlando. His grandparents went to Six Flags St. Louis, they rode The Sky Way Von Roll SkyWay Ride.
Highland fling was removed at the end of 2017!
Just found that out myself, one of my favorite rides as a kid. So much has changed, but hell the park has been open for 47 years. I guess we should be thankful we still have it, I remember around 2008-2010 or so there was talks of it closing down.
So much history on that ride! Loved it. Passed it down to my kids along with all of the love stories. Was a hotspot as a teen. Then they had to close it. Every time we went in the 2017 season it was closed. They removed it off the maps and I was furious!they should not have!
It wasn’t removed I was just closed for awhile really

Yeah it’s replacement Supergirl just opened Memorial Day Weekend it’s not as good as the highland fling was though
RIP The Sky-Way. We rode it like crazy on July 24 1978 then two days later that stupid accident ruined it for everybody.

Do one please for Six Flags over Texas I went there every year as a kid from 1975 thru 1990's great rides then that are all gone would definitely enjoy a video for great past memories
I went there as a kid in the 70's..what was the ride that's shown in this video that is a round building made of wood with a flight of stairs going up inside of it..i remember my older sister was able to go inside but i wasnt. I was always curious to know what it was.

SO MANY THINGS ARE GONE FOREVER and not being replaced by anything new. I have a HUGE feeling this park will eventually shut its gates. Ticket prices are outrageous these days for this rundown park. Most rides are closed for maintenance all the time or just not in operation. Then your favorites just disappear. Currently the major carousel was just up and torn down. I'm sure the 1904 Ferris Wheel will be next

CJ MMOS why the boss? It's my favorite ride.
Oh they can't get rid of The Boss. That's such a cool rollercoaster. What I love the most about it is the first year it opened in 2000 my mom rode it at the age of 71, which I think was so amazing! She also rode the Screaming Eagle, Mr. Freeze and the Ninja. She just loved Six Flags. We went there every summer, it was a family tradition LOL. She was so much fun and I really miss her. If they get rid of The Boss that'll take away another cool thing that reminds me of what an awesome, exciting and extremely fun woman she was.
You were right about Tidal Wave! I haven't ridden Boomerang since it derailed. Think the Boss is staying but retracked.

Ive lived about 10-15 min from St Louis all my life, I wasn't aware that St Louis ever had a Six Flags, the closest one that I know of is in Eureka, Missouri

It was six flags over Mid-America then it was changed to six flags St Louis but I don't think you've ever spent a day in St Louis much less lives are your entire life and didn't know six flags was in eureka. let me guess you don't know hidden valley exist either right what about the science center or the magic House 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I do, and if I recall correctly, it was a theater in the round, similar to Disney’s Circlevision. Don’t remember if it went all the way around, it may have just been a really wide curved screen (it’s been a long time).

You left out my favorite ride, the Time Tunnel (1979 - 1986) which I belive they changed into that crappy stupid Castaway Kids or what ever.
Time tunnel was changed to castaway kids. And then it was changed to Scooby-Doo and then it was removed. But I thought you spent your whole life in St Louis and didn't know six flags was near St Louis

Tracy Mcgrady... the boomerang has been closed for a long time now. it would be best to get rid of it since a lot of people have negative things to say about it.

I was just there yesterday and the Boomerang was running just fine with a long line. It was also open when I was there in April. However, it was not re-open last season after it stuck.

Count the death's that happened the first day a person got thire arm ripped off by a light pole left down on the screaming eagle and the gondola ride that the t bar rusted Tru and dropped with four people in it killed three and left one in a wheelchair while they tried to push everyone out of the park and waited to call emergency or fire department really and lets not forget the kid that landed head first when the seat he was riding on the sky ride thing and the seat broke and dropped him to his death
